I stopped by to grab a quick bite to eat before an event. I went through the drive thru, I don't eat at Dunkin Donuts often and am not too familiar with the menu so I asked about one of the menu options. I asked whether or not the bagel with cheese came as a meal and the woman working the drive thru ignored my question at first then said "I don't know, more than likely" after I asked again. My simple question did not warrant such a nasty response. So I went into the store to speak with a manager who was not helpful at all. She offered me a discount or a free coffee (I don't drink coffee.) I ended up leaving with a free tea that I didn't want. The manager should have reprimanded the employee. Stopped to get an iced cappuccino, and it was a pretty shaky experience all around. An employee was walking very close to the drive thru lane, so I waved politely to let him know I saw him. He just looked at me straight-faced and staring, turning his head as I drove by, staring and never waving back. Weird... Next, I ordered the cappuccino, and the guy at the drive thru window (different guy) said, "Do you need a straw sir?" I replied yes, and he said, "Okay, great!! You have a nice day, Mr." He proceeded to walk away without giving me a straw. Again, so weird... Now on to the actual cappuccino--5 sips in and I struck an iceberg!!! 10% coffee, 90% ice below the surface. That thing would have taken down the Titanic!! On more then several occasions I drove in only to see a staff member standing near the door smoking. It's not very inviting. On other occasions they're out of items. The dirty front door and really dirty drive in window is pretty crappy. Oh; back to this week. I stop at about 7:15 on Thursday night. Two of America's fine young people are working there. On walked up to the counter holding is cell phone and held it the whole time talking to me gee I'm sorry I interrupted his play time. The other guy, you know the one with the long hair and no head covering was swinging a mop around the food area. Pretty disgusting place ... go about 100 yards and there's a Kirspy Kreeme. Just had the most unprofessional service from there. I got to the drive thru around 7:54 pm & I didn't realize the store closed at 8pm. The young girl greeted me and asked if I'd like to try their red velvet latte. I politely said no and asked for a couple of minutes to look over the menu. Once I was ready, I began to state my order. I didn't hear anything back, so I waited a couple of seconds and still nothing. I waited for another 2-3 mins saying "Hello? Hello?" So, I decided to drive up the window to order. Once she sees me, she hides. Then there was another gentlemen who saw me and proceeded to do whatever he was doing on his monitor. After a a couple of minutes, he also hides. I look up at one of their screens and it says "this store is temporarily closed." I look at my time and it's 8:01 & I figured the store closed at 8pm. No acknowledgement what's so ever. The young lady literally left me hanging when I had my order ready before 8 pm. So unprofessional. The least the could have done was speak to me & give me a weak explanation on how they couldn't serve me as a customer before closing time. What makes it more upsetting is that the girl purposely ignored me so that she could justify to herself that I didn't "order" before they closed. Do better please. Hire better staff. read more

I love DD coffee and will typically tolerate a lot to get it. However the staff at this location will send me to Starbucks pretty quickly! This morning I was so rudely handled at the speaker by the drive-in attendant I was shocked and was actually contemplating asking to speak to the manager. (By the way I had a very simple order coffee and donuts nothing special not being high maintenance). Imagine my surprise when I pulled to the window and that same rude person is handling the remainder of my transaction. I see that she is actually wearing a name tag that says shift leader! Seriously Dunkin Donuts don't put leadership monikers on people who can't even provide basic common courtesy to your customers. Send Paige for some additional training and find somebody who actually likes people to handle your customers, and to lead your shifts. read more

This particular Dunkin' Donuts is so hot or miss depending on who is working. You can really tell who enjoys there job, and who is there for a paycheck. Both scenarios are cool, but I would prefer my coffee with out the extra sass. I do enjoy there coffee, and currently there is a peel and win promotion. I do like the cold brew better than the iced coffee. It has a better taste. read more

This is the best DD in the area. Coffee is always made to order, food always fresh. Customer service for the most part is always good. Big shout out to the young guy with dreads and glasses. Walked in and up to counter at 1:35pm on May 25th. Employee behind counter ignored me and proceeded to clean a machine. Looked at me a few times. I'm both northerner and southerner born in AL. and raised in NY. So I love coffee and donuts for my coffee hit I go here every other morning just as I did when I lived in New Haven Ct. Nevertheless, I'm a true southerner when it comes to the donuts. The only ones I will eat here is the bow tie on the weekend and munchies throughout the week, but their croissants are really good not to be made fresh daily. The girls at the window knows me and can finish my small coffee 5 sugars ex, ex, cream sentence themselves it's funny to hear her say oh its you... Lol. I am a hardcore Dunkin' Donuts fan because of this one in Matthews! They always get my order just right! I am always left satisfied! They make me smile and laugh all the time and really know how to brighten up someone's day! I love hanging out here because it offers such a comfy and friendly environment. Since this location changed from the combo of dunkin donuts and baskin Robbins to just dunkin donuts it has been a mess. Seems like every time I go there they some how mess the order up. I went last Friday and the guy took my order, got to the window and paid, he told another guy to make my order not sure if he was over whelmed with my order of a latte and a coffee roll or was it because his pants were hanging to far down. Which I thought about a lot while I was waiting on my order, but seriously while he was making my order how many times did he pull at his pants possibly touching his underwear or worse. Got my order the whip cream was oozing out of the side, no sugar at all in any kind of way. I was so upset, I would gave taken it back but the traffic to get out of the drive way was crazy. I come here quite often on my way to class, always going through the drive-thru.. line was wrapped around the building so I decided to go in. Walk in, there is a line to the door and one person on register. A woman a couple people ahead of me ordered donuts and had to show the cashier which donuts she was talking about, then she didn't know the difference between the coffee sizes. I finally get up to order and she repeats it back wrong so I correct her. She walks off to make it and low and behold, she has made it wrong. Someone tells her to add more syrup, she does and it still isn't right. After 3-4 tries the manager finally helps. I had been here for 30+ mins at this point, so I just told her not to worry about it I just wanted my money back, to which she responds "it'll be quicker to just make your coffee" but I insisted on a refund, it was just horrible service. So she chunks the coffee in the trash and snatches my card out of my hand, then hands me back my receipt, no card. I tell her how ridiculous it is that the line outside has gone down outside and no one has helped the woman on register and how she doesn't know the difference in the donuts and how to make the coffees and she says she is not completely there and she is new, that is not the way to train a new employee! Especially not on a busy day. I then proceed to ask for my debit card back and she slams it on the counter and says now get out of my store... I will be contacting the GM and Better Business Bureau and make sure everyone knows how terrible this location is. Wish I could give 0 stars for this location. read more

This is a horribly managed DD - just poor attitudes by just about all there (except for a nice young man who generally runs the front register). Every single time I go there I have an issue! Very rarely do I get a smile - most seem unhappy to be there. I've tried to give them numerous chances, but I give up.
