And so, the peppermint mocha begins.

Today is the day I finally review this place. I mean it is just Dunkin' Donuts, but I do have a Dukedom here because this is my favorite one to go to. It might be the frequent visits in which some employees know my order (more or less), the speedy service (on most days), or that I rarely feel like they don't make a quality cup of coffee that makes this a superb Dunkin' stop. It's smacked into the corner/side of an office building and the parking works out well, even if it can be a little confusing if coming from the east. There's a few tables when you walk in, though really it's set up for more of a grab and go situation. Having said that, they do have a table or two outside which is a nice touch, even if your view is Hillside Avenue. Friendly and usually speedy service rounds out my trips here. Overall, I'd suggest popping into this Dunkin' Donuts if you're lookin' for a morning (or afternoon....or evening) pick me up. I mean, America does run on Dunkin', right?

Recently opened, this Dunkin' Donuts has been running on full throttle. With a staff of 6-7 employees, taking orders, prepping coffee brews, pouring drinks, making bagels, this place doesn't seem to catch a break. That may partly be because of the grand opening specials they've had in the paper, such as the free large hot or iced coffees, but people seem to be getting more than just their free coffee. For one, it's fast and efficient, you order at the cashier then proceed to the corner end near the front, where drinks and food are handed off, similar to Starbucks. But their quickness is not at the sacrifice of their coffee, which they have made on point. I've been to too many Dunkin' Donuts, where their blends are either too strong or watered down, or they mess up on the coffee to milk to sugar ratio. It's a nice location, though the layout is awkward, being long and narrow, with 4-5 tables in the front. Pulling into the parking lot is a bit dangerous as cars park directly beside the driveway, making it difficult for cars to pull in and out onto the high-traffic Hillside Ave.

My favorite Dunkin' Donuts out there. Coffee and Lattes, whether iced or hot are ALWAYS CONSISTENT!!! Staff are fantastic and take the time to say more then hello without being annoying. A lot of the staff know me and have my drink waiting for me when I come in! It's a nice feeling. I've also gotten free munchkins for my 3yr old niece. It's the little things!!! Acts like that make customers want to come back. Again if your in new Hyde park choose this location over the others, it is consistent 99.8% of the time!!! The other Dunkin on Jericho across from covert is horrible!!! I wish they'd make this location 24 hours or close at 12am instead of 11. :/

I am loving the donuts I got this holiday season, dunk in has really outdone themselves with the creative design!! In regards to this particular Dunkin the staff is always super friendly and the donuts seem to be always fresh! I am particularly raving their mint hot cocoa right now !

The crust was crisp and brown; the sauce, tangy; and the cheese, good stretch. I enjoyed it with a can of Italian Mandarin-flavored Soda. The service was top notch. The man behind the counter answered all my questions about their homemade desserts (see photos below). I decided to forgo any until I lose a few more pounds. The interior was clean and tidy for a pizza shop that busy. The modest-sized shop already had about 10 customers in there just after it opened today for business--about 11A.

Some of my favorite slices are the mushroom, meatball slice, and they do seasonal veggie slices that are great. Their dough is chewy and crispy while not being too heavy or oily feeling. I really like that they have a flavor for everyone, no matter what you're feeling! My only gripe is with their sandwiches. They look a lot better than they actually taste. They're a huge portion that makes the price tag fair (which is really hard to find lately). It looks super flavorful but it really doesn't taste like much. Their focaccia bread is good, but the homemade semolina for the meatball parm was disappointing.. it was mushy and dense. Overall, I would stick to their pizzas because they clearly do it well.

Stepping inside of this magnificent dessert emporium I became perplexed by the variety of desserts and pastries that were very desirable and readily available. In the words of Vinnie Barbarino, I'm so confused (IYKYK). It's a different setup that causes the line to move faster than it used to, I see the improvement. The ordering is done in one place and cashing out is next to it, in the same area. You still walk in and head straight to the display cases where you pick you pleasure. I did not pick my names sake only because it slipped my mind due to me being focused on breakfast. No, I don't eat cakes for breakfast. I picked up a couple croissants, apple turnover, a couple of cheese Danishes, and an almond croissant. Service was prompt and the employees were attentive as well as pleasant. I like how they approach the counter and inquire about your status versus staring at you letting you try to figure out if someone is going to help you or not. At the check out, there's the coffee station or tea. I ordered 2 French Vanilla coffees, to say the least the French vanilla flavor seemed distant to none. On the second trip it was exact same coffee request with the same results. An improvement needed is to have different sweetners for the coffee. Not everyone wants white sugar or sweet n low. Since the vanilla syrup is not sweet enough, another liquid sweetener can work. Nonetheless this was such a sweet experience! Inspire more, Yelp more!
