First off, I will say the decor and ambience is great. Feels very cozy indoors, and the round booths are comfortable. I also appreciate that they have art available for purchase (by local artists I assume). However, be warned you will leave smelling like grease. 4 hours later and I'm still smelling it on my clothes. Would def recommend to management better ventilation if possible! Speaking of grease, I ordered a cheese & chives bagel with veggie cream cheese, and it was quite greasy (other reviewers have mentioned this about other food items). Other people I came with liked the oatmeal and green machine smoothie though. And their large coffees do come in quite large cups! We waited for maybe 10 minutes in line to order, and we received our order about 20 minutes later. I wish the scones and muffins were warmed up before they serve them; otherwise they're cold and hard. (They also forgot to give us our scone so we had to ask again). All the folks working there were really nice. And the barista was spinning out drinks pretty fast! Maybe I just had a one-off bad experience here; I would be willing to try ordering something else next time.

The food always hits. No other way to say it. Always great food. Service is very nice! The staff is always friendly and helpful! And the vibe of the restaurant is excellent! Love the starry light kind of ceiling and the coziness of the booths, couches, or tables. One of my favorite spots!

Stopped by The Grind House on my way through from Bar Harbor to Boston Logan International…read more I was excited to see an impossible breakfast sandwich on the menu as well as a peanut butter mocha. Seriously, two of my favorite things to see on a coffee house menu. That said the execution was a bit off for me. The Impossible breakfast sandwich was served on an insubstantial bun (the type that is more air than anything) and was overall pretty basic. Their signature sauce mentioned in several dishes, seems to be thousand island or maybe tartar sauce? Either way, it wasn't my favorite. The peanut butter mocha was also a bit of a miss for me. I wasn't a fan of either their chocolate or their espresso (or the peanut butter flavor they used, for that matter). The shop itself is quirky and comfortable. We were able to get a spot by the windows, which was nice and the service was lovely. It would definitely be a good and comfortable spot for working and it could be that had I ordered differently, it may have been more my cup of tea (or coffee, as they case may be). But for what I ordered, it was a bit of a swing and a miss.

I chose a egg and cheese on a croissant bun and a caramel turtle latte. I came here because it had been highly recommended, but I have to say, I expected more, but depends on what you like, right?? Plenty of seating, centrally located in the city, easy parking, and plenty of coffee concoctions to try out. My coffee was missing the whipped cream, but oh well. The froth for the latte was odd, it deflated super quickly, not sure what happened there. And the sweetness was sweet, but it was missing that caramel turtle flavor I thought I was going to get. For me, this was meh. I expected something more decadent. My egg sandwich was good. Basic. Not a real croissant either. It was a croissant bun of some sort. It seemed, well, basic, or economical. But it was filling and the egg was good. I also have to say that when I departed, I smelled like a convenience store that sells those hotdogs on rollers... I smelled all day, I had to wash my hair to get the smell out. I also have to mention the heavy music that was playing. It was obscene and it was loud. So loud it made it challenging to order and I did eat my meal quickly and leave. It was a Tuesday morning around 9 am. But hey I am getting older so this may not have been a good choice for me.

This place was like stepping back in time to go eat breakfast at my Papaw's house. Everything about it was fantastic. We had a variety of food, blueberry pancakes, bacon, ham, home fries, hash, eggs, homemade toast & jelly- it was all spot on & just what we needed before the long trip home! The sweet people working the counter, cooking & serving us were so accommodating & considerate. They gave our 1 year old crayons and a little baby fork to eat with. The atmosphere was perfect, it was cozy, inviting & to top it off, the fresh baked goods we purchased as we left were delicious.

I had eggs, bacon (which I asked for burnt well) , and a homemade biscuit with their homemade raspberry jam, the biscuit and jam were the star of the breakfast show. The bacon only had 1 edible piece. I also split a raspberry coconut muffin grilled with my hubs and that was spectacular, an explosion of soft flavor. We would get baked goods to go next time. My home fries reminded me of my dads growing up literal boiled potatoes cut up zero seasoning and grilled heated but with no char, I liked them prob from a nostalgia standpoint my hubs didn't enjoy

There were more flies than customers and employees in the building which is inexcusable in an air conditioned building with closed doors. After several minutes I ask the manager if anyone is working the front counter and she gives me a look and nods to the two chocolate fans, who then one of them acknowledges us in line and starts taking orders. Once order placed, it took forever. Friends who came in through (you can tell they know each other) were served immediately and walked out with drinks/food well before those of us who already ordered. The bathroom was a complete piss bowl too, urine everywhere. Nasty.
