In fact, the last time I got that donut was probably when I was a child. Unlike most shops, the frosting was, indeed, strawberry flavored and not just some bullshit icing with pink dye. They also offered novel combinations, like coconut lychee and a pecan donut that had the most complex profile: sweet, smokey, with a slight funk. I've never tasted anything like it. The flavors strangely worked well together. The brown butter donut was the pièce de résistance. It was wonderfully sweet and salty, reminiscent of a butterscotch square. I felt greedy, wanting to buy a box to take home. I didn't, and now I wonder - did I make a mistake? Should I have listened to my basest desires? Might Donuts gave me something to long for.

My advice is for them to ONLY accept order-ahead orders during the holidays so they're not stuck helping those who procrastinated while those who planned must wait. There's also a great selection of perennial plants for anyone looking to add something new to their garden. And there's even a brewery right on the property, making Wright's Farm more than just a place to pick up groceries. It's a destination to explore, shop, eat, drink, and enjoy the beauty of the Hudson Valley. From the incredible selection of locally produced foods to the beautiful landscape and innovative farming practices, Wright's Farm was definitely a highlight of our visit.
