I usually get birthday cakes from Asian bakeries where fresh fruit is expected so that was an interesting comment to make from my POV. The fruit birthday cakes I've had from here are pretty good. Not too sweet and the most interesting fruit fillings I've had in cake - banana! Among other fruits. The cake isn't as light/airy as I'm used to but not bad at all. The buttercream is on the sweeter side for me but okay if you eat it with the cake and don't leave it until the end. It's not a terribly thick layer. But the cakes were super colorful and it's a lot of food coloring with how saturated the colors are. Your mouth and tongue will be stained if you're not careful. The only thing is for some odd reason, there are signs of what the items were, but absolutely no prices were posted in the display cases. At least none that I was aware of. I was passed onto the manager to take my order. It took a little time because I'm pretty sure she also decorates cakes and some people were waiting on them but I eventually got my order in. A 9" Oreo cake (for up to 16 people) with whipped cream exterior and birthday message is about $75. I added on a tres leches on a whim - they sold out early but a new batch just finished so I got one straight from the kitchen - was roughly $10. Receipts are old school, orders taken on a paper pad with a carbon copy given to you. I've had a number of tres leches cakes before and this is one of a kind! Deliciously moist, whipped topping - and the cake is halved. In between, they put fruit in there! Plus a maraschino cherry on top and cinnamon dusted over it. It was nowhere near "too sweet" and I rather enjoyed it. A lot. In fact, I'm thinking of calling in to see if I can get some for the party for the adults. My picky daughter loved it. Overall, I have a pretty good impression of this bakery and I'm looking to trying more items over time.
