This is an incredible store. We were remodeling a house and needed paints that would match what we were planning. My journey with Dunn EDWARDS paints began at their Modernism Week booth in Palm Springs this year, as I was looking for guidance in selecting paint for the exterior of my home and new front door. After spending considerable time with me Keisha there suggested I contact Terry Hendler, their Professional Color Adviser. I scheduled an appointment with Terry and she was great. She helped narrow down my choices to 3 color selections for the walls, fascia and doors. She emailed me the renderings a few days later and I ended up going with 1 of her combinations, and later visited with her on the door color choice. Last year I almost had a meltdown picking out a paint color for my house. I might as well have moved into Dunn Edwards because I was there daily getting samples. I went back yesterday because I need to finish another room. I recognized immediately one of the cashiers and a woman named Reina was very helpful and even walked the paint outside for me. Everyone there is friendly, professional and cool. I highly recommend the store and they are taking precautions telling me to come back 10 minutes after so that the store does not get crowded.I highly recommend this place for your painting needs. I know nothing about paint. I mean nothing. But we bought a house and found old paint cans in the garage. Trying to guess what color we needed and needed to get rid of the old cans. We called and they told us they could dispose of the cans then looked at the labels from the old cans to tell us what they could do. One was their color so they mixed it for us. The other was a Sherwin Williams color so they told us they couldn't do it but told us where that store is so we could get it. Dealt with three people and all really helpful. This was the first time I visited this store. For some reason I always was under impression that they have prices well above others, like Walmart for example. But I was proved wrong. They have an extensive selection of pain and primers and of you look for same brands at other stores, you will see that there is a quite significant price difference. The only place where I was able to get better prices was amazing but shipping cost adds up and there is simply no point of doing it. Shop local! read more

If you need help with paint colors for your project (and who doesn't?) do yourself a favor and work with Terry Hendler at the Dunn Edwards in Bermuda Dunes. I have worked with other "color specialists" and I can tell you from experience she is one of the best. Terry helped me choose an overall paint color for the living areas in our home and suggested we lighten the ceiling color at the same time. It has made all the difference. Brightened up our living space and kept the warm feeling I enjoy. She also helped me choose a shade to paint our kitchen cabinets to update and add more light. And even helped me choose a new backsplash after recommending tile vendors. I wouldn't have wanted to make those decision by myself. Oh...and she is patient and a real collaborator, never left me feeling she was making these decisions without my input. AND she's just a nice person and Fun to work with. Sales associate Gustavo was very helpful. While on the register, the manager on duty for the day (white elder male) scolded Gustavo and told him to not be on the register. He was just trying to be helpful! It made the environment a bit tense. I would have given this place 5 stars, but I did not like the manager's attitude given to the sales associate (who was only doing his job). This was the first time coming to Dunn-Edwards (La Quinta), and let me tell you this was not a pleasant first impression. read more

Rude Dunn Edwards sales rep (young female with dark hair on the morning of 2/13) at the Palm Springs' Modernism Week display. Sat in an Eames chair on the Dunn Edwards site and was demanded (rather than asked politely) to get off the furniture. After getting up from the chair the girl continued to verbally chastise us with a sour and condescending attitude. (Why not display sign saying sitting is off limits rather than having your sales people scorn potential customers?). Please remind your staff that every salesperson and every interaction is a reflection of your local store and your national brand. Needless to say this rep lost me as a potential Dunn Edwards client and left a bad taste in my mouth regarding the Palm Springs store. read more
