Adding to my review that I really appreciated Pedro today! He recognized that I'm this tiny little 5 foot tall 82 pound woman who was probably going to need help with the stuff I was trying to pick up. Not only did he help me get it all loaded up he enlisted another employee to help and they got it done fast. Once we were outside, I realized I purchased the wrong size cinderblocks so they sent me back inside to make the exchange. While I did that Pedro loaded up the proper cinderblocks onto the cart for me, and then met me outside in the voting and unloading lanes where my truck was parked. He helped me load those into my truck as well! Before this, I was being helped by one of your other customers. I thought it was very smart of Pedro to realize that another customer was helping me and that he should step in and get the job done, which he did! That is management material, right there! Subject: Concern Regarding Customer Treatment and Receipt Check After paying for my purchase through Customer Service as a phone sale, I exited the store and was walking through the parking lot when an unknown male in a gray shirt and jeans approached me and demanded my receipt. He did not display a Home Depot badge, uniform, or any type of identification, so I had no way of knowing he was associated with the store. I asked him why he couldn't verify my purchase through the store's cameras instead of confronting me, and he raised his voice and responded, "I don't check cameras, I check people." While yelling, spit landed on my face. I found his behavior intimidating, aggressive, and extremely unprofessional. This is not the first time I have experienced being stopped after making a legitimate purchase. These repeated encounters have left me feeling that I am being racially profiled. No paying customer should be made to feel targeted after completing a legitimate transaction. I am a loyal Home Depot customer and spend thousands upon thousands of dollars every year at this location. I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism. Instead, I was confronted in the parking lot by someone who did not identify himself and treated as though I had done something wrong. That is simply unacceptable. I respectfully request that Home Depot review this incident, identify the individual involved, and clarify whether employees are required to identify themselves before approaching customers in the parking lot. I also believe there should be better communication between Customer Service, especially regarding phone sale transactions, and any employees responsible for verifying purchases so legitimate customers are not unnecessarily confronted after checkout. I hope this matter can be resolved professionally. However, if this issue continues or is not appropriately addressed, I will consider my legal options. Very bad customer service! Home Depot sent us a table that was already damaged and now HD is saying that we cannot return it. Now we have to go through this whole ordeal of disputing this! Also canceled a different order that we did not receive, and homecdepot still charged me for it and have not credited me back for it. Had to call several times, speaking to several different people, said it will take 60-90 days to review . This is ridiculous ! . I'm calling Better Business Bureau on this company. It has been such a headache. Home Depot you need to check your products before you send them out damaged & defected! This has also happened in the past with cabinets we ordered, were sent to the HD store .HD store employees opened the cabinet boxes at the store and they were all damaged. Had to be reordered 3 different times because they kept coming to the store damaged !We have been long time customers of Home Depot Not anymore! Very disappointed in your company!. We are going to close our Home Depot credit card. We never want to give you business ever again! Thursday I had to make a trip here to find some containers to put some items away. I was greeted by Scotty in the front by the return area asking did I need any help. I told Scotty i sure do, can you show me where the storage container with the yellow tops was located at. Aaron was close by and he took over for Scotty, And Aaron and I heading into the direction where the containers were at. I thanked Aaron and got two containers one yellow one and a red one and headed on my way to go check out before finding so bubble wrap that I was going to need as well. I looked at the price and said I need to get this. I walked by painting and seen on of the guys that's always greeting my Sal, he's so polite and just has a great attitude thank you. I finally made my way to the check out line and was greeted by Jennifer. I scanned my items and found that the bubble wrap was ringing a different price from what I seen. Jennifer asked me where I got it from and head Over to it and said sure enough you're right and corrected the price for me. Jennifer was so polite and professional great customer service. I recently had carpet installed at Home Depot, LaQuinta. The carpet leaves footprints/shading in all 5 rooms where carpet was installed! Everyone who has seen them are horrified at what they see!! The footprints/shading look like irregular dark oily large spots and they never go away!! When I vacuum, these "spots" come right back!! I contacted the Floor Manager and the Store Manager and asked them to come to my home. I sent them a video of what the carpet liked.....Both of these women have "ghosted" me because after they contacted the manufacturer, who told them there was nothing wrong with the carpet, they refused to help me in anyway!! More to this "nightmare" but that would take hours to explain all that has transpired from the time I bought the carpet to my present situation!! Shame on Home Depot, La Quinta, for their terrible "Customer Service!!!" I thought Home Depot would stand behind their product and, at least, see what the customer is unhappy about!! WRONG!!! As a retired elementary school teacher, living solely on my teacher's retirement, $11, 900 is a lot of money to have spent for NOTHING!! I will never shop at any Home Depot store again!! read more

Not super happy with the way our slider screen door came out. We had to order a custom screen slider due to the size of our screen door not being a standard size. We specifically ordered a slider that fits on the inside of the glass window, due to living in the desert and wanting to keep dust at a minimum. Anyway after our order arrives the felt is on the wrong side. We called up to ask for a replacement and we're told that they have felt to come in and put it on the other side ourselves because they don't make sliders screens that go on the inside. So we had to rip off the felt on one side and stick it to another side. Upon ordering we were specific about this detail and were never told this is what would happen. Also see picture of corner of slider, it doesn't look right. Totally looks like it will fall apart in no time at all. Anyway if you have to order a custom screen door I'd consider other options. We were told you can't return custom item, even though we didn't get what we asked and paid for ( over $300) read more

I asked a woman sitting in the appliance selection next to cabinet doors a simple question and she said I don't know you will have to ask them, motioning toward the cabinet without eye contact. I need some glue for a project at home. They were conveniently open on Easter unlike some other stores. Since this location is so massive we had someone help us for where the glue was, the kind lady told us that it was in isle 9 along with a large selection of other glues and items. If you want excellent customer service at this location talk to Lesa or Mitch on the sales floor! They both went above and beyond to find a particular fan for us! There wasn't any on the floor so they tracked them down and found stock in the building. Told us it would take about 20 minutes. We had Lesa paged after 20 minutes and met her in isle 12 and Mitch brought us our fan! I can't say enough about the service these 2 employees gave us! Great job! read more

First of all, my review is misplaced. It was not pertinent to a specific location. My encounter was an on-line order. I ordered a bbq smoker and paid for next day delivery and installation. It has now been two weeks and not completed. They changed my delivery dates several times and were completely inflexible about my needs and availability each time. Their "assembly" service is third party and could not care less about client needs. I have had to make 3 trips to my vacation home to accommodate them and it is still not done. Their customer service people are useless. I will NEVER buy on- line from Home Depot again. Never! If possible my review would be less than one star. read more

Possibly one of the worst experiences of our life. Ordered a new LG refrigerator and had it delivered. Delivery was on time but the men who delivered it made our life pure hell. They left it on our porch and refused to take it in the house. Their reason was the old one was bigger than expected. We paid to have the old one moved but ended up with no the old one in the house and the new one on the porch. I am 76 and my wife is 70. Impossible to do the moving by ourselves. I went to Home Depot's web site to see about getting window coverings for my home. They said they offer an in-home design service where a designer comes to your home, measures windows, offers insight, consultation, and samples for all types of window coverings, including blinds, shades, drapes and more. I thought great, so I signed up. Two days later, I received a phone call from a Home Depot designer who arranged an appointment at my home for the following week. Perfect, I thought. Then the day came for my appointment. Literally 15 minutes prior to my scheduled Thursday 10 am appointment, the designer texted me and said she'd had a mishap the previous day and injured her leg so she was unable to make our appointment. She couldn't have texted me the day before to say this? I was a bit upset at the very short 15-minute notice I was given, but how upset can you be if someone injures their leg? So I figured it was a legit excuse. She asked if I could call her to reschedule. I did. She said she assumed she would feel better the next week so we scheduled a new appointment a week later -- this time for a Wednesday at 1 pm. So what happened at this next scheduled appointment? I waited and waited and she never showed up at all. No phone call. Nothing. What a terrible, terrible way for Home Depot to do business. Take it from me -- don't go to Home Depot for window coverings. I can't believe I took time off work for TWO appointments in back to back weeks that Home Depot didn't show up for. read more

Looking for a tiny, obscure item, I asked the middle aged woman at the Returns register, as I walked in, for the location. We marched to 21 and looked up and down. We didn't see it. Hearing a young, know-it-all fellow (with no uniform) impress loudly a ring of male customers, as if he worked there, I asked him. He was definite that we needed to go to 43. So off we trudged. No dice. Realizing I had a signal, I googled the item and saw that, indeed it was back on 21, but now armed with the bay # , I walked directly to it, hiding in plain sight. Don't go here for a kitchen remodel. We made an appointment and came in, online it said that we need to bring our measurements and pictures and they will do a layout and go over what we want and what can be done. They did. NOTHING. She didn't show us anything on the computer, only showed us door samples and colors and handed us catalogs. We could have done that on our own. Went to Lowe's today, they did a whole lay out of our kitchen, went over cabinet options, counter tops, cost, availability, everything. I went into the La Quinta Home Depot yesterday to speak to an associate about an estimate on custom blinds. The associate sat petting a dog for over 20 minutes while waited. Not sure what the petting the dog was about but didn't want to interrupt. Went back the next day, the associate Freddy was suppose to be at work at 8:30 AM. No show and waited for over 20 minutes and bought other stuff. As of 9 AM, no Freddy so I left. I'm done with custom orders at Home Depot.
