I have been to this store for several times, but recently based on a whole-house-painting I visited the store for maybe 2 or 3 times just in last week. The lady in store is very helpful and she knows her job and the stuff well. Most of the worker who also work on the registers are nice, but... Just on a Sunday evening I got into the store few minutes before they close to purchase some needy items, and this guy at the register, a tall guy with a very rude face, announced out loud "Sir you need to take a number!" I turned around and saw the little number machine (or whatever they call it) and told him that I need to just take a look and maybe will not purchase cause I doubt they have what I need, but still he insisted "You need to take a number!" Well I walked out cause I didn't find what I needed, but after that I guess I better off drive a little bit further to another store which has similar items. This is NOT the way you welcome a regular customer! This is not how you approach people who are trying to be nice to you! read more

Was 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. (With only 3 customers in the store). Then we were informed the color we needed for just a retouch could only be bought in the large gallon size and we could not purchase a small can. This strikes me as odd because we had to wait 40 minutes for it to be specially mixed. I don't understand why they couldn't mix it into a small can and I don't understand why it takes 40 minutes to mix when there are only 2 other people waiting. Bought paint earlier in the day from Vista and the whole process took 10 minutes. This place is disappointment. read more

I am in middle of renovating my house and needed a paint. My contractors recommended Dunn Edward so I went there. Paint is good quality and staff is very knowledgeable specialty guy name Vahe. I would put 5 star of long time was shorter. If you plan do go there better to go around noon otherwise plan to be there at least an hour read more

My painter contractor told me to come here to select a paint color. Vahe is a nice Armenian man that went there. He was super nice and helped me narrow down my favorite three colors. He also suggested that I get some small samples for $4.99 each and test out the colors on my wall before buying the larger gallon size. Will definitely be back! read more

I just want to give a shout out to the Glendale Dunn Edwards color advisor, Anneline . I was totally confused about which exterior paint color to choose and had initially sampled and paid for about 6 color samples.. none of them right. Then someone suggested I meet with the Glendale color advisor, Anneline so I set up an appointment, met with her, and immediately honed in the perfect color and accent trim color for my home. It's painted now, looks fabulous and I owe it to the expertise of Anneline. read more

I haven't been here a while--not many home improvement projects lately. They've had pretty good customer service at the store. But I was troubled lately by the actions of one of their delivery drivers, tailgating and honking as I headed out to lunch. Very rude and dangerous driving. Customer service is clearly not at the top of the list for the employees of this location. My first time in and I walked away empty handed and frustrated. The woman at the checkout counter was surly at best and was not helpful any way. All I wanted was a sample size of the popular Swiss coffee. "We're out of that." Did she offer any alternatives? No. Not even a paint chip. She walked away and I called after her did they have a paint chip. Nope, out of those too. When she came back from wherever she had walked off to, I asked her once more about the sample. Nope. But she would sell me a quart. Then she was off again. Note there was another employee there who had walked out into the store front, saw there were three customers waiting and ducked into a nearby office. I will take my business to my local do it center which I should have done in the first place. They want and appreciate my business. Clearly Dunn Edwards in Glendale does not. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service, very unacceptable staff. They were very unhelpful by not even welcoming me in and not asking me if I need help with choosing colors. I walked Thursday evening at about 4:56 pm not knowing that this business closes at 5pm (early for any business to close on a weekday really) I was only going to spend about 5 minutes just grabbing a couple swatches of color options. As I was leaving at by 5pm the automatic slide door was locked, I was unaware about the store being closed so I looked over to the older man working and asked if this is the exit because I was confused for a moment. He said " sorry about that" as he was walking over to unlock the door and I said no worries! And he said "no i was not talking to you I was telling this customer sorry about her leg pain" wow that's hilarious you could have just acted like you were saying it to me instead of telling me this woman has pain in her leg. Really none of my business, and then this bitter lady insists on acting like his assistant tells me "it's cause they close at 5" I will not be buying any paint from them for my home anymore read more

First, I LOVE Dunn Edward paints, I have used them for years. But my past two experiences at the GLENDALE CALIFORNIA store is enough to make me RUN to Sherwin Williams. Last week I went in to buy one of those color decks with all of the paint color samples in them. All of us (four of them in Orange Shirts with nothing in particular to do) stood around and discussed what a great tool they are, and how they really don't sell too many of them, and while they have a couple lying around in the store there, they are for their own use. Anyways, after hearing about the vagaries of the Dunn-Edward supply chain and how it's difficult to get the "MotherShip" to send refill orders for them, etc. I left empty handed. Fortunately, the Pasadena store had them and actually sold one to me. Today, having apparently not learned anything from my last trip there, I *tried* to buy ten 8 oz. sample sized paint jars to do some color testing. OK, first the guy tells me I should buy quart sizes instead of the 8oz. sample because they're the same price, then the other three guys standing around in orange shirts all chime in about how they are completely out of the light base needed to make the ten samples. When I asked how a paint store could run out of paint, they all laughed so hard they almost peed their polyester pants. I really wasn't trying to be funny, and I left the Glendale store once again empty handed. I was smiling,though, knowing that four orange-shirted morons will soon be out of work when an unprofitable branch of the store closes . . . . read more
