The staff at this dental office is incredibly friendly and welcoming. During our first visit and consultation, they were amazing, showing great care and friendliness towards my son. After the X-rays and pictures were taken, a dental assistant discussed my son's treatment plan with me. I want to be completely honest in my feedback. There were some issues with my son's treatment plan and pricing that needed to be corrected, which I brought up during the appointment. However, the dentist came in, clarified the treatment plan, and answered any questions I had. I truly appreciate the time he took to ensure everything was in order. My son had braces for 1 day before I had them removed. I was lecture by the dentist and he expressed that I was instilling a quitter's mentality into my son. I voiced my concerns properly. After, I found Dunn Orthopedic where Dr. Dunn informed me that invisalign was an option. He explained the pros, cons and expectations needed for my son to be successful with his Invisalign trays. What a bizarre experience. I made an appointment with Dunn Orthodontics to get information about braces for myself. I had braces 35 years ago when I was in my mid-twenties and my two children (now grown) also had braces so I was familiar with how an appointment was suppose to work. I arrived at the office which is very impressive. A nice waiting room with a few large pictures of before and after pictures of patients. I was escorted to the back by a very professional young office worker who gave me a tour of the facility. After waiting for another prospective client to have her photos taken I was escorted into the "film/xray room" and pictures were taken of my teeth and smile. Then I was escorted out and offered ice cream. Uh no thanks. We passed another group of five people who were waiting for the "photo room". It must have been tour day for prospective clients. While waiting in a hallway you can't help but notice huge professional photographs of who I assumed were the Dunn's in very "moments?" of their lives. All dressed up for a gala event, speaking at a conference, sitting in an office. Very strange pictures for a dentist/ortho office. I was then told to take a seat and waited another few minutes. The same woman came back and took me into what I assumed was the Dunn's office. Many framed diplomas and pictures of their alma mater. A dentist chair and computer and four different examples of types of braces available. After showing me my pictures and teeth on the computer the screen the office assistant asked what type of braces I would prefer. I then told her why I wanted braces and the time line I had in mind. She stated that she was going to see the doctor and she would be right back. I thought she was going to get one of the Dunn's so I could meet with them and discuss my wants and options. Instead she came back a few minutes later and told me she showed my pictures to the "doctor" and showed me a piece of paper with two different amounts written on either corner of $6200.00 and $4800.00. She stated that was the price for either Invisalign or Braces. She also stated that the doctor told her that I couldn't achieve what I wanted with braces since they didn't work well on caps. And that I needed to have a "deep cleaning" on my teeth before the braces could go on. Then I was given a nice packet and sent out the door. What???? I don't even get to meet the doctor that I am entrusting with my smile and all that money? How do I even know they exist or were even in the office that day? How do I know who they are other than their Wall of Fame pictures? Uh, no thank you. Then to add a final strange ending to this story I just received a personal letter hand signed from both the Dunn's stating how nice it was to meet me!!! What? Call me old fashion but I like meeting the doctors that are going to take my money and perform procedures on my mouth or even my kids! A lot of fluff, a lot of ego but only ghosts. Finally found our Ortho Family! With three children who will need braces, we needed to find an Orthodontist that we felt comfortable with. Dunn Orthodontics in Litchfield made us feel so welcomed. When we arrived they offered us coffee or water. We were given a tour of the office where they explained different procedures. When it came time for photos and X-rays my daughter was very comfortable and actually had fun taking the photos. After we were given all the financial information, the plan was explained and we met the doctor. Great experience! We will be back in January with the rest of the kiddos. Got my braces here and had a great experience. DD takes really good care of you from start to finish. Love the staff there, too. When I went for my consult they were never pushy about getting the braces and I was given all my options. They even have a rewards system where you can redeem the points for gift cards and goodies. It's geared more for kids but the adults were not excluded! I saved my coins for the end and got a Best Buy gift card. It was such a nice touch! I cannot believe that Phase I of my son's braces is almost over. It has been a true pleasure to work with both Dr. Courtney and Dr. Matthew Dunn. They are very easy to talk to about procedures and are very knowledgeable. It has been wonderful getting to know their office staff, Vicki and Marsha and especially the orthodontic assistants, Amber and Susie. We have grown to look forward to our visits every six weeks. BUT, the most wonderful part of all was having the convenience of 2 different locations so that when it was time for our regular dental exams we could go by the Phoenix office to have the wire removed so we could go to Phoenix Pediatric Dental and then back out to Litchfield to have the wire replaced on the way home. My son thinks the rewards system is really wonderful. He is trying to decided weather to trade in his tokens now or wait to the end of phase 2. My daughter in law is also a patient of the Dunn's and is the one who told us about her great experience with there so we had to try them out for ourselves. WE LOVE DUNN! My story is too long to share but we had several horrible experiences with our former orthodontist. No communication, not following their designed treatment plan, long waits, etc. We had received several referrals to Dunn so once we were no longer in contract with our previous ortho, we cautiously decided to get a second opinion from Dunn. I AM SO GLAD WE DID!!! When I called to make the appt, I was informed that they could not see us if we were in contract with another ortho. That alone was incredibly impressive to me. When we came in for our appointment I was warmly greeted and introduced to all of the staff. We were shown around the office. I instantly felt like I was apart of a family being welcomed into a home. The communication is phenomenal. They answered questions I didn't even know I should ask. Their payment plans were custom made for me. I gave them the name of the friend who referred us and a few days later my friend emailed me to tell me thank you for using them as a referral. Dunn didn't have to say anything to my friend, but they did and my friend got a reward for it! If you are looking for an orthodontist, please allow me to save you time and frustration. So far so good. My 14 yr old is dying to get his braces before high school. We started consultations and xrays at another ortho before we moved here from SD. It was taking them forever just to start the treatment. Fast forward a couple of months, we move to Goodyear and decide to go to Dunn based on Yelp reviews. We were referred to Risas first by a friend. They were friendly and cheap but not very professional or organized. They did not explain their treatment plan thoroughly or have testimonials (pics or videos). According to my research, all orthos should provide that. Braces are a big investment for a family and is important to your child's overall health and well being. The staff and Dr. Dunn are super friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are hefty but I have a feeling it will be worth it. They have a flexible payment plan, their work is guaranteed for life and Dr. Dunn male has extensive experience. The treatment plan is thoroughly explained, they provide videos and images, have the latest technology and we have not waited more than 5 mins. We went to Dunn Orthodontics for the first time yesterday and were blown away by the friendliness of the staff, most up to date methods, fun atmosphere, great prices, and their congenial & very thorough explanation of the proposed treatment.
