It's the closest free location to the hubby's house in SJ. When I got here, there was one person ahead of me. While waiting, I noticed a sign that said they started charging to pack up returns for Amazon, Temu, Shein, etc, in mid Sept. I was afraid they were going to charge me for dropping off my item. It was still in it's original box and unused. Luckily, they just scanned my QR code, took the item, and I was on my way. I talked to the hubs later about this and he said some things need to be boxed before dropping off at UPS. At least for Amazon. He was returning some faucets we bought a while back and when he tried to drop them off, they told him the items needed to be boxed up. (They were all in their original boxes.) He ended up leaving, boxing them up, and then coming back to drop them off. Later, he realized Amazon had stated they needed to be boxed before being dropped off, so make sure to read the terms and conditions for the return. Their return policy isn't as lax as it used to be. I've recently had a really disappointing experience with this location. My packages were being…read moreforwarded here by USPS since I had a change of address, but unfortunately, they didn't include my PO Box number (i've received packages forwarded from this vendor previously without an issue.) Instead of checking or asking, the staff just returned them without even reaching out -- including some pre-orders that I now can't reorder. What's frustrating is that this has never been an issue before. The usual staff have always been great, attentive, and helpful. But lately, since the older lady started handling things, it's been a different experience -- less communication and more issues with returned packages. I'd just recommend keeping an eye on this if you're expecting packages here. A simple confirmation or courtesy call could save a lot of trouble for customers.

I absolutely love seeing local businesses grow, and this makes party planning so much easier. First and foremost; Staples print and marketing IS NOT capable of offering immediate, full-service production. The production window for ALL orders is 5 business hours, with the option to pay an express fee of 20% for within the hour, which is the fastest turnaround they can provide. Photo printing under the size of 12x18in IS NOT offered. Staples is not a photo center. Orders via email are NOT offered. UPS services are limited as Staples is not a full affiliate; QR code drop offs and comcast/at&t drop offs are NOT able to be accepted by Staples and must be dropped solely at a UPS owned and operated location. Amazon returns are the lowest level of priority for the front end associate as they DO NOT generate ANY revenue for the store whatsoever. Other reviewers complaining about slow Amazon, here's your reason. Amazon does not pay staples, especially not on a per-return basis. Labor hours for staff are strictly regulated and cut increasingly each week, hence other reviews regarding lack of staffing. To be clear; the location is staffed. Corporate simply refuses to staff it fully. Each staff member here is tasked with doing the jobs of 4 people by themselves. They do their damndest, so everyone please bear this all in mind before deciding to lose your cool with a 23 year old retail worker.

When I called to ask whether an appointment was needed and what the recommendations were about clothing, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the assistance I received by phone. The young woman who took my call was courteous and helpful. At the store, we were very positively impressed by the service provided by MANPREET, who proved to be both skilled and knowledgeable, as well as pleasant. After the photo was taken, she clearly explained to us details concerning what to expect after submitting the digital photo to the US passport website. In the event that the photo was rejected, Manpreet explained that we would be entitled to a retry or a refund. Thankfully, the image was accepted on the first try and I have since received both my new passport book and card. What was also greatly appreciated was the thumb drive provided by FedEx (at no additional charge!), as we had forgotten to bring our own. TIP #1: Make sure you don't wear a white/light-colored shirt or blouse, unless you have a dark jacket over it. Otherwise, you run a much higher risk that your photo will be rejected at the time of upload or submission by mail. TIP #2: In the event that RushMyPassport/govWorks takes your money without ever allowing you to download the image you paid for--even after reaching out for customer support (as was the case with us)--remember that you have the option of doing a charge back through your credit card company.

All I needed was to drop off a package that was already labeled. She insists that I use the self service area and guides me there so I can scan the package myself. Of course, the receipt doesn't print and I have to ask for assistance again. She has to go through the trouble of opening the lock box to get my package and go through the drop off process just to get me the transaction receipt. This could have all been avoided if she just did her job and helped me directly to begin with.
