Really disappointed with DuPage Jeep. When I bought my vehicle, they pushed the "Tires for Life" incentive, but conveniently never explained that you supposedly have to service the Jeep with them continuously for it to actually be honored. I even asked someone in the service department about it and was specifically told I could have the vehicle serviced anywhere I wanted. Now suddenly they're refusing to honor the incentive because I didn't service it there the whole time -- even though I've had the Jeep serviced at another certified Jeep dealer. What's even worse is that this requirement was never included in any of the other contract paperwork I signed when buying the vehicle. Honestly, it feels like this was done on purpose so they'd have an excuse not to cover the tires later. This feels like a complete bait and switch. If this requirement was so important, why wasn't it clearly explained or clearly documented from the beginning? The whole thing feels misleading and shady. I get free tire rotations through Costco. Asked for a refund and they acknowledged it was their fault. Service Rep told me he would have to pay me out of his pocket because it was his mistake. Fine by me. Then called back to offer me $75.00 credit with the service department. No, thank you. I would rather go somewhere else because this dealership has been shady with every interaction. I had a very disappointing experience at this dealership. I have bought my Jeep and Dodge and been going to this dealership for 10 years. It has definitely changed over the years in a bad way. Manny in the service department was unhelpful and the service team did not honor the tire for life program. The work that was done was poor quality and left me with more concerns than confidence. On the sales side, Donnie was not transparent about pricing or financing. I felt misled on both the vehicle price and the interest rate, which ended up being much higher than expected. I went to Elgin Dodge and got a V8 for the price they were selling a V6 Durango and better interest rate. While I was there i seen 3 people walk out on there sales team. Be cautious of the service department. I recently took my vehicle for maintenance. I was informed that it needed to have a repair done and for $400. Paid for the repair went to pick up the vehicle and still had the same issue. Was told they fixed the issue again, however this time when picking the vehicle up it would not drive at all, completely stalled. After my 2nd attempt of picking up the vehicle I was then informed they will replace the part under warranty. This resulted in a loss of $400, for a repair never completed. If the repair is covered under a warranty, why was it not under the warranty the first time. The warranty covered the issue, and I spoke to Manny, Kye, and service manager who refused to refund the $400 or help rectify the situation. They are very rude and unprofessional; the service department could use a customer service class. Just observe the way Manny talks to customers on the phone. Upon picking my vehicle up, the next day I noticed the engine cover was missing. I called the dealership and spoke to Manny who hung up on me mid conversation. He informed me that I needed proof I took the vehicle in with the engine cover. After calling back for a 3rd time I was informed they have the cover in the back and to go pick it up. I go to pick it up and Kye struggles to get the cover on, Manny wants to intervene and says I told you it's not yours and where is the proof you had one. I then tell him he is very rude and he tells me to get out of here and I am not going to be given the cover. I informed him I am not leaving without my property. I asked for a manager to speak to and was told there was no one to speak to me and to get out of here. The dealership also cracked my license plate cover, I was informed by Kye it was on order for the past month but kept getting cancelled. When I went to pick up my engine cover, I inquired about it and was again told the item was cancelled by Amazon. I went on Amazon to pull up the item, and it was in stock and available for delivery the next day. More lies from the dealership and service team. I then spoke to Ken the sales manager explained the situation was told he will follow up with me, it has been a week and no follow up. He even said why would you need proof of the cover because they have it all on record. This dealership used to be amazing and had a great service department; I would dive 45 minutes 1 way for the service. I purchased 2 vehicles from them. However, the service department is very rude and filled with lies. When I attempted to pick up my vehicle the first 2 times, I was told nothing about needing brakes and even had the video from the tech saying everything looks good. The third time I went to pick up my vehicle I was told now I need brakes, after the vehicle was sitting there for almost 2 months. If the vehicle needed brakes why was this not informed in the beginning, why do I have a video from the tech stating everything is good. Just be cautious if you go there. read more

Bought a 2020 Jeep Wrangler in 2021. Was not aware that there was a known issue corrosion. I saw corrosion on my daughter's car last year but just thought it was due to age. I learned of this huge issue and i called the dealer and they acknowledged the fact that this is a known issue and I was 6 months out of warranty. Not one ounce of effort to help me out. Maybe we'll cover 20% of the new paint job, or anything, The corrosion did just happen now. Typical dealer games and they lost a customer for life and Stellantis lost a customer for life, also. They fixed it saying that dupage put a Wrong bolt on when they were putting my engine back together, it did not fit correctly. Therefore it created the check engine light to go back on! I've only had my car for a month, and I've already had to bring it back three separate times for issues that should have been addressed before the sale. Each time, the process has been slow and frustrating, even with an appointment, the service takes far longer than expected. Getting a loaner vehicle (something they claim to provide) has also been a challenge. I've had to follow up multiple times just to get basic support, and communication has been inconsistent at best. I really expected a better experience from a Jeep dealership, but between the repeated problems with the vehicle and the lack of accountability, I can't recommend this location. Horrible Place--Do not go anywhere near this place! I was new to town and went to this place for an inspection because it's near my place of work. They broke the driver side seat of my car because of the incompetence of their mechanics not even knowing how to do an inspection without causing damage. This should have been a quick thing, but turned into hours of waiting. I had to get back to work and had to keep checking in. They kept saying that it was supposedly done but then it was hours before anyone could find it. When I finally got it back, I found out why it took so long to get it back. They were trying to figure out how to put it back together but they couldn't because they actually broke the parts. I didn't have time to make them fix it that day. By the time I brought it back in, they wouldn't take responsibility for what they did. They had the nerve to call me a liar to my face and say they would charge me $240 just to see how much they would charge me to fix what they broke. I was so pissed I called a manager about it. I figured someone higher up the food chain might know a thing or two more about customer service than a mechanic. Man was I wrong. Not only was he also an irresponsible person who would not take responsibility for the actions of his mechanics, but he said they have a blanket statement policy to only fix things they break if the customer demands they fix it within 24 hours. That's the most unreasonable thing I've ever heard. That was by far the worst I've ever been treated by anyone anywhere. Stay away from this place. They come in with a value of $8500 for a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd with only 56k on it. They said they used CarFax for the value. I had shown them a Kelly Blue Book of trade in value of $15,489. I said, no thank you and took my car and went home. Went on CarFax when I got home and the CarFax trade in value was $15,920. A $7500 difference on what they told me. I wasted close to five hours at this dealership on Saturday. I was told multiple things by multiple people. I had somebody with me who even said why do they keep saying one thing and doing Another? They haven't done anything They said they were going to do they did not even appraise my trade-in. They pulled it up and they left it there. They even had me run to the dealership where the trade-in was saying that if I had gap insurance and a service contract that that would help me out so I took my time and even went and did that and still nothing happened I mean, they had me really running all over the place such as home to get that car when I told them unless there was something in place I wasn't even going to move forward so they completely made a fool out of me and completely wasted my time They did not even get any numbers together. They just had me sitting there like an idiot wasting my day when I could've been working. the funny thing is I bought a car from here last year and Chris was my sales person and it was a completely different experience. Everything agreed upon with the salesman changed once in the finance office with no mention of it, just sign here... Zero transparency and sneaks in an excessive amount of useless add ons with excessive markup fees and then resists explaining all these charges and deliberately tries to confuse you when toy ask what add ons there are. Breaking down charges shouldn't be complicated but they try really hard to make it that way. $200 for wheel locks and nitrogen in your wheels is just one BS add on that wasn't disclosed on top of multiple "coverages" that are useless. Like pulling teeth getting an explanation for everything you are paying for bc they purposely and very strategically try to hid it from you. Stay away from this dealership at all costs. I had the worst new vehicle purchase experience of my life with this dealership. Unfortunately, my 2016 RAM was ageing, had 172K miles and was slowly costing more money to repair. So, I started looking for a new vehicle. On April 21, I walked into Dupage CDJ looking to buy a new vehicle, as they showed the vehicle in inventory. Upon my arrival, I met with the salesperson and he and I proceeded into the lot to look and test drive trucks. Evaluating a model I desired, I asked if they had it in another color. They informed me that it was on another lot and they would have to transfer it the next day. I was contacted on April 23 that the vehicle was available to test drive and purchase. Upon arrival, I was allowed to test drive the vehicle to ensure this was the one for purchase. Once the decision was made to move forward, he proceeded to show me the cost and high-level breakdown of the discounts. This is where the experience took the turn from hell. When I first met the salesmen, I informed him that I would be trading in a vehicle that already had a documented appraised value and a formal approval letter from my credit union that would be financing it. Although, I had these documents, they still took my keys to "reappraise" my car. Along with this, I was informed that they needed my SSN information to place on the paperwork as I was taking the vehicle and they had to wait on the payment from the credit union to overnight the check. I was informed that they would not run my credit. Not only did they try to low ball the appraisal, but you know they tried to run my credit. Thankfully I keep it frozen. Next thing. The final paperwork comes back, and the numbers are different. After debating the numbers, they had to change and reproduce paperwork with those changes. Sending the bill of sale to my CU but not emailing them to me. Frustrated but paperwork signed, I await to move my stuff over from the old to the new. They had already moved all over my stuff and "placed the old vehicle on the transport truck" That was BS, but ok. 30 mins into my journey home, the dashboard lights up and the vehicle slows down to 55 mph. Pulling over I take pictures and videos of the issues and call the salesperson back. I am informed that the service department is closed, and I would have to bring it back tomorrow. Taking it back to the dealership, I express my concern that a new vehicle should not have these problems. I was informed that it was something simple and I could take a loner in the meantime. This simple thing took 6 days to address. The vehicle was not treated as a new car purchase but as a regular service ticket. At no time was there any urgency given to determine what was wrong. I literally had to call them two times daily to get status from them, with no updates. Even speaking to the general manager was not effective. It wasn't till I sent two fiery emails to the owners, detailing my daily experiences with the dealership, that I received concerned responses from individuals at the dealership. Sadly, the fix was simple, replacing the battery and resetting the systems. That sounds like a day one thing. Not day 6. In conclusion, do not go to this dealership and expect good customer service and concern for the consumer. They do not know how to give it. It is all about them getting their money and they will go through any lengths to get it. Even running your credit, they aren't authorized to do so. Shady practices from a shady dealership. I have never had a bad car buying experience in my life until now, and this has been an absolute nightmare!! I was told I was getting a certain price for my car, which I traded in, and like a fool I trusted the price they offered was going to be what was on the paperwork. It's my own fault there for signing but the way they explained it to Me was tax credits, which was a complete lie on their part. That's how they get away with it. I was also told if I didn't like the car they would give me several months to trade in for the purchase price of the new car., another lie on their end. When the new car I purchased started having problems about one week after purchase I tried to do this and they would not give me the price. They told me they were going to at trade in! This car has multiple problems. I have brought it into the shop , more than once! they keep saying that nothing is wrong with it., it squeaks every time I start it very loudly and I was told to reverse and slam on the brakes to help get rid of the squeaking. I have tried talking to management several times and I'm basically getting the runaround from him., I have talked to several people at the dealership about the multiple problems, and not one of them has done a single thing to rectify the situation. Another scam going on there is I said I did not want to purchase a warranty, they also tagged on a 3,000$ warranty I didn't want , and when I asked about this they said every used car that leaves the lot had to have one , i talked to sister stores and they both said that was not true , and I didn't not have to have it . They also said it can be refunded but this dealership said it can not . I absolutely love jeeps and plan to get another one. The only recommendation I can make to everybody out there is do not go to this dealership and go to any of the others.! I went to the Saint Charles location and the customer service I received there was amazing. It's a shame I didn't go there to begin with.. I am not a big person on writing reviews, but if I could stop one person from going to this dealership, I would be happy to know that I saved someone a giant headache and very real major stress!!!! The car was used and we bought it in June 15 and on july 15 the car got flooded and the insurance paid for a used motor and replaced it the first time it had oil in the engine second time they installed a mopar motor when they clearly said that's mopar was not covered. They gave the car back so we picked it up and a week later from six flags to out home the car stoped and stoped and started to lose power on the engine we took the car to get analysis by a different dealer and they said that's molar the motor they installed was bad and had no power. So we took the car to another dealership they said the motor was bad and it was not a good motor so for the new dealer to replace it would be 15k for the motor that was installed and they new it didn't work and for us every time we would go and ask they give us the runaround and my dad went to see that was going on threw the other side and heard the guys say make something up there here again regarding the car. Starting with one of their service techs misdiagnosed my car and I spoke to the manager. He said there is nothing they can do about that. The Good, The Bad , The Ugly The good.. The advertised prices on their vehicles are better than other Jeep, Chrysler,Dodge dealerships. I checked most dealerships in a 50 mile radius. The Bad.. Keep an eye out for add-ons!! After reviewing the Bill of Sale and paperwork BEFORE signing, there was approx. 6K in UNNECESSARY and unwanted add-ons! I was originally told I had to purchase these add-ons. Obviously I refused and decided to wait and see if the advertised price would come down which it did. By waiting 3 additional days I saved approx. 2k on the purchase. Also I had to literally scratch off the add-ons and send the paperwork back and actually point out the nonsense. I also took a hit on the trade in which was about 10% percent less then KBB had my trade in listed for after I used the salesmen computer in front of him to show them they were getting over on me there. My trade was offered for sale the next day for almost 10k more then I received like I pointed out it would. Also FYI don't let the dealer use the "you're getting a tax credit" excuse when they give you the trade in value because you will get that from any dealership. The Ugly.. I came back a couple of days later after the advertised price came down on their website. I didn't negotiate any additional discounts after coming back and asked for a new Bill of Sale with the advertised price to close the deal. When given the new Bill of Sale I was handed one with some of the add-ons added back to it. Again I had to scratch them off and send it back. Upon receiving it again, (when the salesperson does the "I have to talk to my boss thing") with they add-ons removed, the Sales manager lowered my trade in to cover the cost. Keep in mind that is NOT a type o. That has to be manually and purposely done changed. When I saw that I went to talk to the "boss" personally and tell him to stop the B.S. I almost walked out right there due to a shady business practice. The correct Bill of Sale was then reprinted and I decided to go through with the purchase because they did have the best price on the vehicle I was looking for. In closing READ EVERY LINE of your paperwork and if there is anything you don't like address it BEFORE you sign. Overall I was ok with deal but just keep in mind all dealerships are running a business and like any business they are looking to make a much as they can on every deal. read more

I was trying to purchase a truck here, but I am located in another state so I asked if I needed to put down a deposit to hold the truck, because the banks were closed in my state. I was told that would not be necessary and that they would sell me the truck the next day. I get all of my bank paperwork done and sent over to them the following day, like I said I would, and I called to make sure that they received it, they said that they did and they would be back in contact. When I did not hear anything back about an hour later, I messaged my sales guy that I had been working with, Joe Rogers, but he would not respond to none of my calls or text for the rest of the day. I called the very next morning trying to get a hold of him and he tells me that he sold the truck after they had already told me the previous day that they received my paperwork and my bank had already sent the payment. Every other major corporation in the world seems to manage. There are ways to verify credit cards. 2. Even if there were not ways to verify credit cards, I still had to go in to pick up the part, so verify the card then in person if needed. 3. I know from 20 plus years of selling online experience that percentage-wise, fraud is quite rare. No matter, it is more important to DuPage Dodge to inconvenience their customers than to try to make things easier on them. But wait, there's more! When I called to check availability, I was given a price of $99.08. When I went in to order the part, the total I was given was $130 and change (think it was $136.00). I informed the gentleman helping me that the man on the phone said it was $99. Without missing a beat, he says "Oh, OK. I can give you that price." So apparently the price depends on what they think they can get away with at the time. Single woman walking in alone? Charge her more! Shady AF in my opinion. The experience taught me to NEVER, EVER go there for repairs. I can only imagine how that would have been jacked up. Very disappointed in this business overall. read more

Bring your car literally ANYWHERE else first before coming to this joke of a service department. I brought my husband's 2019 Trailhawk here when the car was having trouble turning over. We assumed the starter might be the culprit because all the lights/screens would work even when the car struggled to start. The day of our appointment the car gave its last breath, and we had to jump it to get it to Jeep (at this point we thought "shoot might be the battery" but we still want to get it checked out because of ongoing electrical issues with the carplay). After keeping the car for 8 hours, Roland calls and presents us with the biggest scam since Charles Ponzi. $550 for a NEW BATTERY. We obviously declined this absolutely criminal offer. They charge $199 to fully inspect the car, and Roland was unable to come to a conclusion about our carplay issues. So after $215 and over a day later because Roland couldn't call us to set a pick-up time for the car...
