It feels a bit strange to review a funeral home but I am very happy that I decided to use Dupage Cremations when my mom passed away a couple of months ago because they made everything very streamlined. I had visited the location a couple days before my mom passed and they were very respectful and took down all of our information so that after my mom passed they were able to just come in take her body to the home. They also were able to get all of our official documentation information filled out at that moment as well. We had the basic cremation package which allowed us a 30 minute viewing. The space was clean and allowed us some private time with my mom before she was cremated. Receiving her remains and death certificate was also very efficient. We received both a couple business days after the viewing. Thank you for making a difficult life event pain free and simple. That was very important for us as we grieved. read more

As others stated it does feel strange to leave a review but with such great service you just want to tell someone. Everyone was professional, patient and kind. Even when they arrived to pickup my mom from my home they were caring, careful explained the process, walked the best path for exit and did not rush even though it was pouring rain outside. I was immediately impressed even through my grief. They followed up with me as stated, scheduled a meeting time to discuss plans. They were upfront about pricing, no gimmicks or salesman pitch. All of my questions were answered, no request is too weird because they've heard it all. I actually learned a lot about the cremation process and county requirements. What can I say about Alex (the director/owner) and his team. We were planning services for the first time ever, for my father (A Hindu service), and Alex made everything happen. I thought it would be far more work on our end, but given Alexes experience EVERYTHING was streamlined. They also have mounts for wireless streaming for those who can't be in attendance due to Covid. They had a dozen or so Hindu priests and florists that he could reach out to, which was a concern given the short period of time we had to get everything together. Within one hour or so of sitting down, we were all set up. Also, unlike other places, the cost is considerably lower. The chapel is beautiful and spacious, which is great when considering some older friends and family members may be concerned about being too close to others. They also have everything done there in house, so anything you need done can be done on the spot there, and there's less concern about something not being done for your loved ones. Lastly, Alex is just a great guy in general. He answered every question we had (there hardly were any simply because they have everything considered for you before hand), and went above and beyond to ensure we didn't have to worry about anything. Him and his team are compassionate, experienced (second generation family owned). If you need services for a loved one, whether it's Hindu or not, reach out to Alex. The loss of a family member is never easy. But when it is your adult son, who never had a bad day in his life, and supported us emotionally when something tragic happened, this put me at an impossible place. On recommendation from the kind people at the Coroner's office, I called DuPage Cremations. Every person there treated me with empathy, never snubbed me, or acted like this was just a job. Jeannie was my first telephone contact, and she walked me through the process. My first obstacle was to find my son's social security number, and she patiently waited for two days, while I scoured financial records, safe deposit boxes, and twenty year old banker's boxes. We were in touch, and she even suggested several places to research. Jeannie remained my rock. I knew that everything would be fine, and she would personally take charge of the process until I could get up there from a thousand miles away. All I can tell you is that if you lose someone, you could not find a more caring and compassionate company to help you through this most difficult event. read more

Dupage Cremations was an absolute blessing to me during the loss of my Father. As an only child going through the loss of a beloved parent (my mother had died 2 years ago) Dupage Cremations was very VERY wonderful. They made a painful part of "life" memorable and positive. I would highly recommend them. My father died unexpectedly at the ER/hospital - and not being from this area, I asked the people in the ER to provide a listing of places that provided cremation services. I called several, but I was drawn to Dupage Cremations. They were courteous on the phone and their prices were reasonable (compared to other places I called). They even provided services for obtaining CODs (certificate of death) as well as delivery of the ashes to my home. Again, making a very hard part of life much less difficult. read more

My dad wanted to be cremated and died in August of this year. We were not familiar with the process. DuPage Cremations helped us with everything--the entire team was so patient and kind in answering our many questions and concerns. My husband and I were especially appreciative of the time we spent in their chapel with my father. He looked so good and peaceful. It meant a lot to us. We recently lost my father, and after some calls to find a place to handle his cremation, we chose DuPage Cremation. They were significantly less expensive than many other funeral homes and other crematoriums, but we sacrificed nothing! Turns out we needed them within few hours of our conversation, and they were so professional!. We very much appreciated the dignity with which things were handled, including the flag as he was a Veteran. No additional surprise charges, and they were so helpful to get us his ashes in time for our service. They also offer time, if needed, in their Memorial Chapel. Upon the death of my father-in-law, my husband and I obtained information about cremation from several funeral homes. DuPage Cremations was suggested by the DuPage County Coroner's Office. I made the initial phone call and was greeted by such a warm voice...a very caring voice. I made an appointment for my husband to "interview" them and he was immediately impressed by not only their professionalism and knowledge, but by true compassion and respect. We were not aware that most funeral homes do not do their own cremations...DuPage Cremations does. It was such a comfort to know that my father-in-law's remains would be under the constant watch of DuPage Cremations in their own facility. We can't express how grateful my husband and I were to be able to spend time in the chapel with my father-in-law and how nicely he was presented to us prior to cremation. The skills these professionals possess are second to none. The staff gave us all the time we needed to say our final goodbyes without interruption. I so wish that I could rate DuPage Cremations more than 5 stars! As a hospice nurse, I have had multiple experiences with establishments that provide cremation services, and thought I would choose one that I was familiar with when my husband died. I happened upon DuPage Cremations in an obituary, and went to their website. They had me at "your loved one never leaves our care"! From start to finish DuPage was a class act. I was used to the cold and unprofessional "pick up services" that most funeral establishments utilize. Not so with DuPage Cremations! Kelsey personally came to transfer Tony, and covered the zippered gurney with a beautiful quilt. When I returned to his room to gather my things, I found that she had left a beautiful purple silk rose on his pillow. During our meeting a few days later, Kelsey was so very kind and compassionate as we discussed the options from which I could choose (i.e conducting a viewing in their on-site chapel, having cremains delivered, etc.). She also assisted with writing and placing an obituary in multiple newspapers. I preferred to pick up my husband's cremains (rather than to have them delivered) but did not anticipate how emotionally difficult it would be. The staff showed genuine concern and provided incredible emotional support throughout our meeting and kindly offered to walk me to my car. I cannot recommend DuPage Cremations enough and although I did not meet him, the leadership of owner, Alex Carbonara, is evident in how the establishment is run and in the quality of the team who serve the the bereaved.
