Normally, I read reviews and shop around, but considering the customer service I received from Mark on our first phone call, I knew I found the right place. Anyone who has ever experienced a medical emergency knows time is of the essence, so when my once mobile mom came home from the hospital (and couldn't walk), we were scared and helpless. I called Elite Home Medical Supply on a Saturday morning (of Memorial Day weekend) to inquire about Hoyer Lifts. Mark answered and told me he could deliver one Tuesday. After telling him about our situation, he made some adjustments, and delivered the lift with his son, Jake, that same afternoon. To add to that, they both stayed to give us a tutorial while we practiced using the lift with my sister-in-law. After that, my sister-in-law went to the store to purchase a commode and bedside table. At the store she was accommodated by rockstar employee, Jasmine. I think the fact that Google revealed to me Elite Home Medical Supply, which is 35 minutes from my home, was divine intervention. These people are angels, and my family is forever grateful. Thank you, Emergency Home Medical Supply, for being there for my family when we needed you the most.

He had already tried that and it was worse than our couch recliner. She suggested that renting a powerlift chair might be helpful. It was on the pricier side, but the only other idea she had. Well, we thought about over lunch and just decided to just purchase a chair. Terri showed us the options and let us just try out the chairs on our own time. We never felt rushed. It was obviously more than we originally thought of doing, but we are sure we won't regret it in the future. The only thing that didn't make us happy, and why this isn't four stars, was the price tag. We picked the chair we liked best & thought the price was what was on the tag. There were options below the big price, like heat & massage, which were things that could be added to the base. Oh, but the material that the chair used was on that list (which we didn't realize because it was not a common name). It was not in the large number on the price tag and added $900 to the price. We didn't know this until we were checking out. We do not blame Terri for this, but the company that thought this was a good idea. The tag should have had the final price, before taxes & delivery not the base price if you could buy it off of the floor like we did.

    Don't bother is right! What a waste of time! I called them 3 times & each time the girls answering…read morewere nice. I explained I needed a customized wheelchair. They took basic information and made it very clear each time that I must pay $75 over the ph or must bring in exact change to the evaluation since the purchase was not going through insurance. I didn't like that it wasn't a free eval but agreed. First, the handicapped parking spot was not even large enough for my ramp so I had to park at the end of the lot and use the grass. Plus, the wheelchair symbol was one big smudge. It was weird. (You would think this type of facility would at least get that right since their clientele is disabled!) There is a ramp up to the door. However, the double doors are not automatic so it was annoying. Bill, the tech, opened the door and directed us to go into the dark conference room that was crammed with chairs and a pizza on the conference table. Bill was completely rude from start to finish. Even his facial expressions were stern and rude. Instead of asking how he could be of service to us, he had the attitude of "why are you here?" He apparently thinks that if someone is in a power chair there's absolutely no way they can progress to a manual wheelchair. He said in a completely insensitive tone, "What makes you think you could use a manual chair? You mean you need it with power assist? Your arms work? What makes you think you won't just fall out of the chair?"We explained this wouldn't be the 1st time pushing a manual chair. Without even knowing how long ago the injury was, he said "We'll if they put you in a powerchair then that's what you need." He then proceeded to say that they don't usually go through the customer, the therapist usually contacts them. Then why was I scheduled for a fitting evaluation?!! I drove 2 hours, wasted toll money and gas money for no reason!! He said he would talk to the girls but at least they had a friendly customer service attitude. Bill needs to work on his disrespectful, belittling & rude demeanor!! I was ready to purchase 3 pieces of expensive equipment but forget it! I'll take my business elsewhere!!!! He was such an asshole! I'll make sure to share this info with the disabled community!!
