I was walking down the street looking for a great restaurant! I walked into 5 places that disappointed The classy interior, classy dressed waiters , well lit interior, and loud din of people having fun drew me in Great lighting /rather loud I was seated quickly at the bar. ( solo) My first thoughts are that this place is loud enough that if you're on a first date and want to talk, it would be quite difficult. It is that loud. Wife , friends yes. First date. Maybe not... If you like me wanting to have a meal and hide in your own thoughts and coddle your wine by yourself and get lost in your dreams with a buzz, this is a great place My wine by the glass was fantastic I had the sermon tartar crustini. It was fantastic with my mild fruity Spanish wine I had the Branzino( sea bass) for dinner It's quite juicy and flavorful It was Branzino fillets on top of a bit of spinach with sliced almonds, capers, garlic, and olive soaked in wine For dessert, I had the meatballs I thought they were a bit plain But they were the perfect ending for a third glass of wine and nice buzz I will definitely return.

Stop by on a whim for lunch and the setting is very nice, lots of outdoor seating. Loved the bucatini carbonara, but salad was pretty bad with many pieces of decaying lettuce and was pretty bland. I would say serving size was small. Service was meh, not terrible but nothing special, and not the fastest but we were there leisurely. There's a credit card fee of 3%.

This a great restaurant. I sat at the bar and had drinks with a friend on Sunday. The service was fine. The manager frequently checked on us and he was tremendous. The food was pretty good and authentic. We ordered a variety of cocktails and all were very tasty and well made. The game was on. The restaurant is aesthetically appealing and would be great for an affordable date night. They have really good happy hour and brunch deals. I found street parking to be plentiful for DC. I will definitely return.

Overly expensive restaurant in DuPont Circle that never quite hit the highs. I ordered a Batuta di Pollo, which was just a half chicken breast and a tiny salad, all for $22? The value didn't match the price. Service was fine, but the food was extremely boring and way too overpriced.

Hands down our favorite spot in dc!! We bring all our visitors here and it never disappoints. It has a great ambiance, very open and lively and the outdoor seating is nice too. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food is always delicious. Great prices too!! My go to is the spicy rigatoni with added meatballs and a Caesar salad. Would also highly recommend the focaccia to start. We just came for their bottomless brunch with offers mimosas or Bellinis with a 2 hour time frame for just $20!! Super reasonable and our waitress always made sure our glasses were full. Can't wait for my next trip back!!

Service was good, but everything else was pretty mediocre. The wine glasses were very dirty and no bread included which I feel is a must at any self-respecting Italian restaurant. The Burrata Caprese was fine. If bread had been a part of it I think that would've justified the price. I ordered a seafood pasta (forget the name) which was pretty basic and the shrimp / clams were a bit overcooked. I'm not an expert chef by any means, but I feel like I could do better at home. Overall, I was disappointed by the food quality and dirty wine glasses. I think there are plenty of other better options within the same price range.

vibe is very nice, food was okay. the service is good too, we sat outside because a big party reserved the inside and the outside was fine. it was a fine night but food not memorable.

Pretty good spot to grab Italian food. Nothing special but it is serviceable. The location is one of the nice perks with the big indoor space and large covered patio. The appetizers all seemed like good options and we went with the burrata. It was really refreshing and the tomatoes were really sweet. I got the carbonara for my main dish and liked it. It wasn't the best carbonara in the world but hey we were hungry. The service was kind of slow and was is one of my only complaints. It felt like they disappeared after dropping off the food. The surcharge for gluten-free pasta seems pretty high at $9. That's the highest I've seen of any Italian restaurant with gluten free options.

I had such a great experience here. Despite a bit of a wait, the manager was so gracious and surprised my party with two complimentary tiramisus. Between the food and the wonderful ambiance, I absolutely loved the vibe. Highly recommend!

The space is gorgeous; I love all the plants, and the light brown, light blue, and white color combination for their furniture makes the space look classy and modern. The light brown leather couches are comfortable, and I love the way they circle around the tables to create a natural, cozy booth. Our food was just as beautiful as the space. The Restaurant Week menu comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Given how indecisive I can be (and how expansive the normal menu is), I was grateful to have my choices narrowed down a bit. I started off my meal with the octopus. The octopus was remarkably tender and not overly chewy, and had a delightful char that gave it a slightly smoky flavor. They double downed on the smokiness with their burnt chili oil, which, alongside the lemon and salsa verde, gave the dish a wonderfully balanced smoky, savory, and slightly acidic flavor. The crushed potatoes had a lovely crispy shell on the outside and served as a great base for the tender octopus. The main course was probably the easiest choice of the evening -- I'm absolutely obsessed with branzino, so the second I saw it on the Restaurant Week menu, I knew that was what I had to get. The fish is beautifully broiled, with a nice, crispy skin and super tender, flaky flesh. It's topped with a few pieces of roasted garlic and a wedge of lemon. The fresh lemon juice, as well as the lovely side salad, offered a great pop of freshness to bring the whole dish together. And finally, for our dessert, I chose the chocolate torta. This wonderful dessert is remarkably rich and decadent, with a strong dark chocolate flavor. It's topped with a lovely marsala date sauce and scoop of sheep's yogurt ice cream, but still doesn't feel overly sweet. The sheep's yogurt in the ice cream offers a bit of tanginess, and I loved the addition of the candied walnuts for a bit of crunch.

A five-minute walk towards downtown from the Mayflower hotel made Tatte Bakery an ideal spot for breakfast. It also has nice views of Farragut Square. I went with the House Full breakfast that included Applewood bacon, eggs, potato fritters with tomato jam and mint parmasean, and house made sourdough. I was curious to try one of their best sellers - monkey bread, and it didn't disapoint. A solid breakfast with on point service before catching the metro to Virginia. I really enjoyed my visit here and would return in a heartbeat.
