On the bright side, it felt like I was starring in a Saturday Night Live skit. I'm supposed to get a "free drinking water filter". Sales guy shows up, finds out I already have a water softener, huffs and puffs about some nonsense, tells me someone will reach out, and leaves. Well that was Dec 10. For almost a month, I texted the number that originally texted me, I called them multiple times, and didn't receive any communication. I finally got someone on the phone, we agreed on Jan 22. then the day of, I find out they entered it in their system for Jan 23, and I'm not available. I called them to find out what happened, and rescheduled for Feb 6. So now it's been 3 months. Today is February 6, I called them at 8am because I don't trust them to do the right thing and clearly they need handholding. I asked to confirm my appointment time for today, and I did get a confirmation. Hey in 3 months, they managed to do one thing halfway right. Congrats. Then the conversation took a weird turn. The lady over the phone told me the first appt is 9am but she won't know where that is until 9:30am. And when I asked to clarify "so what you're saying is your first appointment is at 9:30 then?", she caught an attitude and told me that the first appt is 9am and then hung up. How do you not know who is showing up to the 9am appointment until 9:30? Their only saving grace is the installer. He was kind and competent. How they earned a contract with a major builder is beyond me. The right wheels must have been greased... Long story short, took them 3 months to complete a 10 minute job. Wasted MANY HOURS of my time. If you're considering these guys, do yourself a favor and run away. read more

This company has an agreement with our builder and over the several months the house was being built, the communication was severely lacking. The 1st contact gave us a bunch of bad information. Several emails and texts as we got closer to finishing the house went unanswered. Then to cap it all off, last Friday (1/16) after we had been in the house for a week, the rep promises "our tech will call to schedule and you can have it in in a few days. Due to the weekend and holiday, I gave an extra day. NO call from anyone. He said it would be a Houston number...never happened. If it's this hard to even buy it, who know what kind of service we would have afterwards. We are going to find another company and hopefully the builder will too. read more

Do not do business with this dishonest scam of a company. Received an email my water softener was do for service. Guy on the phone says we'll soon be out of warranty so highly recommends we do the service so the tech can thoroughly go through the unit and if anything is broken that way the warranty will cover it. I agree to a nearly $200 fee to have the guy come out. First off the tech shows up a day earlier than guy on the phone scheduled. Fine I happen to be home so I go through with it. Tech looks at the machine and proceeds to press the same buttons I do to have the unit clean itself. I ask about going through it thoroughly and he tells me if anything was wrong it would be extremely obvious because it would be leaking or leftover visible residues. 200 dollars for that! Bought a new home and DuPure came recommended. I called their number and soon Jason Vasquez was booked to test my water and explain to me the various options. He showed up on time with all his testing equipment. I decided to go with one of the Evolve systems plus reverse osmosis. They got me scheduled asap and a few days later, Jason S showed up to do the install. He was patient, kind, understanding, explained what he was doing every step of the way, and was careful to measure everything carefully and not cause any spills. He picked up on a slight error that the plumbers had made during the house build and made adjustments as necessary. He checked for leaks and from what I can tell did a great install. I'm looking forward to not having to keep buying heavy and expensive drinking water bottles and having nice soft water for my showers and out of the taps. I think that long term, it will be good value for money. We will see how it goes... read more

Don't buy a system from this company their customer service is really bad. They don't call you back and their employees don't know their warranties. But now today the person answering the phone says only one year warranty. I bought my system through Lowe's and now they went back to whirlpool. I spent a lot of money and the cheaper whirlpools work way betted than this system. It was my fault that I didn't look closely at the warranty . But I have real soft water after the Regin and then after that my skin never feels soft. The Ao Smith system is the worst. I will be going back to whirlpool. 4200.00 not worth it one bit. Installation was quick. Everything else was not. New home build came with a free sink filter so I wanted to set up an appointment. It took calling several times and leaving several voicemails to have someone return my call. We ended up getting the mid tier full home water softening system. We were told that DuPure has a proprietary salt and that it was install and leave it - no maintenance required other than filter changes for the sink filter. The day that the system was installed, the technician informed us that we would have to refill the tank with salt every few months and that we could buy the salt from Home Depot or Lowe's. So much for a proprietary salt. Once the installation was scheduled, everything was seamless. However our initial consultation was double booked which cost us time, and customer service was pretty poor leading up to it. We were supposed to get a phone call on the day of installation to confirm the appointment and did not. For how expensive the water softener is compared to other brands, this felt like a miss. We went with Dupure because it was recommended by our builder but I wish we explored other options. read more

We purchased a new smart home and opted for a Dupure revers osmosis system. Jason Sykes came to our home and activated the system...making sure it was connected to our refrigerator and took the time to prepare it for us so that all had to do was use our new system. We are enjoying it and are amazed as to why we never had a reverse osmosis system before now. Jason was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and respectful of our home and our time as we were respectful of him and his time. Jason even provided us his number and told us to contact him if we have any concerns or questions. How amazing is that?! We love that we only have to change our filter once a year and another every two to three years depending on use. How amazing is that!? My wife made the initial appointment with Dupure Water and explained to the person over the phone that I (her husband) could not make the appointment because my job does not allow me to answer the phone during the day. She let them know that she could be reached at everyone's convenience and that she should be the primary contact with Dupure. All went well. The appointment got set up we were both going to be there like Dupure requested. However, at 3 pm the day of our appointment, they called me at work, and I missed their phone call and voice message. Then 23 minutes before the appointment, their technician Rich called while I was still working to tell us that we had to confirm the meeting we had initially set up because Rich had "back to back" appointments and could not make both at 4 pm. After Rich double-booked, my wife made another appointment. On the day of the installation, they called me at work again, asking us to confirm the appointment, this time, we could not both be at the house. We were told by their representative, Erika, that because we both were not available, they wanted to reschedule because my wife and I needed to be home so they could upsell us on their systems. I asked Erika to again make my wife the primary on the account, but the next day I still got a text to set up another consultation. I texted the number, telling them to please schedule all meetings through my wife since she works from home and that this situation was getting ridiculous. Later that day, in frustration, I called Dupure's customer service number and spoke to their manager Jennifer. She assured me she would correct this mistake, that it would not happen again, and would give us an upgraded water filter since having to do something four times is ridiculous and that it was not to the standards of Dupure's customer service. Jennifer promised this mix-up would not happen again and that my wife would be the primary on the account. She also told us that Dupure takes their safety very seriously and that my wife and I had to be at the installation because the technician would show us the various safety valves in case a leak occurred. On the day of the appointment, Erika again called my number to confirm the meeting, not my wife's, who, after four different attempts, should have been the primary on the account. Erika was professional and knew I was highly annoyed with Dupure. She did not, however, install the free upgraded filter because Jennifer had not put the details of our phone call in the system because she forgot or just blatantly did not care. The installation lasted 10 minutes, and the safety talk included a flashlight pointing at a valve to turn off the main, which Erika only showed me and not my wife, who was also in the same room. If you bought a new house through DR Horton, good luck with Dupure. I recommend you take the base deal and find a different company to work with. When we bought our home one year ago, we had DuPure install a water filtration system in our kitchen and a water softener in the garage. It's been a year so the kitchen filters need to be replaced. We're too old and out of shape to get down under the sink, so we scheduled the filters to be changed by a DuPure employee. This was the easiest experience I've had since the pandemic began. We recently purchased a KB homes and DuPure contacted us as having a free osmosis system through KB. I called the 800 number on the certificate and scheduled an appointment with Mike, our local salesman. Mike contacted me the day before my appointment to confirm. On the actual morning of our appointment he called and had to reschedule for an emergency, which is completely understandable. During our rescheduled appointment, Mike was so professional, friendly, knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. He showed us how our current water was full of minerals and how it would work with the full water softener. He also showed us which model would work best for our house hold based on the number of people living in it. The sign up process was very easy and convenient. The installation technicians were here to install the system the next morning and left us with three bags of salt so we would have no issues. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Everything seemed okay at first, but after a year of having the water softener, I got a call saying it was time to replace the filters. I went ahead and ordered them but chose to put them on myself since the two filters requiring replacement were already over $200 and the service fee for having someone come change the filters was an additional cost of ~$150. When we received the filters, I tried to do it on my own but was confused, so I decided to wait until I could call customer service for assistance. When I got around to calling, i was told by the representative that he couldn't stay with me on the phone during the whole process and I would Hve to call back. He was helpful and empathized with my frustration: the new filters they sent did not match the original ones, as they were different colors & had different names than the originals; the pictures on the instructions did not match the system we had, and the terminology can be a bit confusing. Maybe I'm just a bit slow, but it almost seems like Customers are set up to fail and are then offered a technician to help for an additional cost, not including anything that would have to be replaced if something was broken while trying to self-install. I spoke to 2 people and they kept telling me it's an easy process and I should be able to do it myself. They bluntly said they cannot stay on the phone with me to help me, even though I kept saying I still had questions. And when I called back the third time, after being forced to hang up and call back, the lady who answered the phone said, "Didn't you just call? I just helped you. You're calling again?" When I explained the situation, she sounded a bit annoyed and transferred me to cust care only to find out, I WAS THE ONLY ONE ON QUEUE, according to the automated system. The whole process was outrageous and it's clear customers are not of any priority to this company. If you look at other review, you will see the same. I thought getting a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen would help us immensely with having to carry heavy bottled water. We were recommended by Lowe's. We had the system installed over a year ago and we thought all was well. It runs you over $700. We were given miss information regarding filter replacement, and when we finally got it straightened out, we ordered the filters. The filters are very pricey. It can run you up to almost $500. My husband had put it in his calendar to remind us when the filters were due to be replaced. We tested our water with a water tester to be sure it really needed replacement and to our surprise the water coming out of our spout, versus the water coming out of the refrigerator, which was hooked up according to them was completely off and we have been drinking water from the refrigerator. I fear now this has never been hooked up to the reverse osmosis. When I reached out to our installer he told us once we got the filters replaced he'd come back over and verify that the water coming from the fridge was in fact, attached to the reverse osmosis. I tried reaching out to him when we got them changed and he referred me to customer service. Customer service now wants to charge me to come back out here and verify if it's hooked up or not. This is unacceptable. We have been drinking this water for all this time assuming this was filtered and I can't get anyone to respond. Now I'm told the installer left the company! read more

Bought a new DR Horton home that includes a free water filter. I "activated" the filter per their instructions and got a phone call to set up a time. We set up a time after 4 and I receive a phone call that the person wants to come at 11. Um not the time I set the appointment for. So they didn't show up and pushed it back a day. They came the next day and didn't install the filter. Gave the sales pitch and it was all way out of my budget. Contacted them the next week to install the included filter. They called me and we set an appointment. Appointment time came and nobody showed up. I'm over it, you can keep your filter that I already paid for in the purchase of my home. Update! After writing my review, I was contacted by Nathan who is their regional manager. I explained to him my issue at hand and he was quick and professional with his responses. He apologized for the lack of communication and he assured me that I would be contacted by someone to schedule an appointment. Within minutes, I was contacted by Tiffany who then proceeded to schedule our first appointment for inspection and then from there, schedule an install date. Within a few days, we were visited by Diana for our home survey appointment. She was very knowledgable and I knew she was passionate about what she does. She even gave us recommendations on what water softeners we should buy. Although my initial review was a horrible, I am very satisfied with how everything was handled afterwards so now I change my review to a full five. I don't typically write bad reviews unless I feel like the company deserves one and I am very pleased with the effort of every person who turned the issue around. Since I bought a new home build with D.R. Horton, a water filtration system came with the house. DuPure called to set up an appointment, which I had set a day during the week at 4 pm so a family member would be able to meet them after work. Rich, the installer, called that day and said my appointment was scheduled for 7 pm. Not sure how that happened but he said he'd be able to make it to my home around 4:45/5 pm, so cool. But then he called around 5 pm and said he couldn't find my cross streets (because apparently his navigation wouldn't show my address even though Google Maps started showing directions already) and asked to reschedule later that week. I don't understand how a company that has a contract with a builder can't find their homes. I had a consultation with another water softener company before the install (because why not see what else is out there) and ended up liking them better. Rich called and asked if we were still on for that day and I said yes because I still wanted the free system. He came by as I was wrapping up with the other rep and said he'll wait outside for us to finish up, which only took about 5-10 minutes. I go outside and he is gone. I called him but no response. Then I get a call from my friend that lives in the same neighborhood and find out that Rich was talking bad about the situation, specifically me and the company I chose to go with, saying I made a huge mistake and I'll find out the hard way. All the other companies sent guys to do estimates, some of which were a little cheaper, but I feel that this company did the best presentation and the plumber they use was quick and efficient installing the system. Why didn't I do this sooner??? We have lived in Las Vegas for 6 years in various homes and knowing we were purchasing a home I knew I had to have a water softener! I researched several companies and got a few reps to come by the house. After the rep from DuPure came, I was sold. He was so knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I went with it crossing my fingers that it would make a difference. Boy did it ever! My skin, my hair, my kids skin! Night and Day!! I haven't had to scrub the glass shower walls on my hands and knees! It literally just wipes clean. The only reason that I am giving DuPure 4 stars instead of 5 is that they have to leave the cold water in the kitchen sink untouched for the city. That kind of blows- wish they would've kept a different appliance to the city standards that we didn't use as much. Cost was super competitive, customer service has been great. The salesman was okay but not very honest. We were told we were going to be getting a 4 % interest rate and when the bill came our interest rate was 17% not very happy when my credit is a excellent rating. Also, with the soap program that is offered with the system we were told by the salesman again that the points would last 4 years we have only had the system since march of 2017 so not even a year and the points are just about gone. Perhaps the salesman needs to be a bit more educated on the product theyre trying to sell instead of just telling people stuff to make the sell.
