I agree with Yelper Sadri B., that Duracells cost a little more than the off brand batteries available at dollar stores; however, it's worth it for Duracell's quality! Duracells are my go-to batteries and always have been. I grew up in the age of battery operated toys and there was nothing quite as disappointing as having bad batteries that wore out too quickly. Thankfully my father is that guy that always had battery operated radios and flashlights around. He quickly understood and taught me that Duracell Batteries are some of the best and long lasting batteries on the market, both in storage and in usage. Also thankfully, because they can be bought in multi packages (often at great savings) we always had extras in the utility drawer at the house. Today, most of my battery operated items have internal batteries and are usb chargeable. But I do still have some items that are old-school and require "old-fashioned" batteries. For those items I find great value in the multipacks that are available in places like the big warehouse stores. Batteries are items I purchase in bulk then rarely purchase as I have them on hand. I do find that though Duracell may be pricier than say Amazon brand or other cheaper battery products, the Duracell outlast the cheaper competitors. They are conveniently located at most stores, so it's easy to shop at a friendly, neighborhood store to pick up when shopping for other items. read more

They suck. Their batteries which were were marked good til 2030 leaked and destroyed my remote control for tv and after calling them I was told they will send a check for 10.00 to replace my remote.lol. The check never came and so I called a month later and was told that it will take 6 to 8 weeks to receive. I had to call again today which is now 9 weeks later and this time I'm told the check was mailed out and deposited with 9 days of original call and complaint. BS! I never received it and just checked with my bank and it was never deposited which I knew. I found Duracell's Customer service to be Terrible. The company sent me a coupon for a 20 pack of their AAA batteries that 18 had exploded in package within the first year(Supposedly, they are Watrantied for 10 years. Which I found to be a joke). The problemis that I've been to 2 Walmart Supercenters, an HEB, a Target and Noone will avcept their coupon. I called their customer service yesyerday, and asked them to just send me rrplacements. Duracell As cute as the Energizer Bunny is I still buy Duracell batteries the most frequently. I'm always buying batteries. This holiday season was full of lights and candles that require AA batteries. Everyone knows we can't live without our remote control devices. My glucose meter uses two of the flat round batteries. My flashlight takes three triple A. My clocks and thermostat use them too! I'm a fan of Duracell. They last forever. You can keep them on hand because they have a long shelf life. We have been a longtime user of Duracell batteries and found them to be a good product until this purchase.. of 312 hearing aid batteries. Purchased the 3 pack of 24. So far none of the batteries have lasted more than 1/2 a day, down to 40% strength, when device alerts me losing power. Rayovac will last 3 to 4 days before falling to 40-50% capacity.. @ $20.00 range this is a terrible waste of $$. they are worse than the battery Costco markets. i work in a business environment that uses batteries for many of the equipment that i use in my office and duracell batteries is the most reliable brand .yes they cost more then the batteries you can get a dollar tree , etc, but for longer battery life you cant find a better brand. i prefer to order my batteries on line or pick up costco or walmart as the prices at cvs and staples are overpriced .i prefer duracell max for my flashlights , label makers , door chimes , cordless phones , wall clocks, smoke and carbon mo. detectors.. i dont mind paying a little more for duracell batteries , better to be safe then sorry . read more
