I was a bit apprehensive of coming to this dentistry because of its location. I am new to Dallas, and I heard that the area was not the safest. However, upon arriving there, the area seemed nice enough. The dentistry itself was nice and clean. The receptionists were friendly, and my wait time was relatively short (15 minutes).
I was called in to have my x-rays done. I was taken to a room that was under construction, literally. There was a man working on a hole in the wall. The girl taking my x-rays was friendly but slow. I must have been in that room for what seemed 45 minutes to an hour. In her defense, the machine she was using malfunctioned once and she had to reboot the system. She mentioned something about the battery. However, after having that equipment in my mouth for such an extended amount of time, I was in pain and tired.
I was taken to another room where I met the hygienist. She was amazing. She looked young, so I was not sure how knowledgeable she was. I was impressed. I asked many questions and she definitely seem to know what she was talking about. Again, she was nice and professional at all times.
I saw the dentist only briefly, but he made sure I understood his treatment plan by taking additional pictures and having the hygienist explain in detail every recommendation. I went to the receptionist to get the treatment plan along with the detailed pricing. I was handed a handwritten quote because something was wrong with their printer. She said she would email me the quote, but I never received it.
Overall, my visit took about 2 hours, which I think is really long. But, the staff was nice, knowledgeable, and the dentist seems to have the patients' best interest in mind. This was my second visit to a dentist this year. The first dentist recommended additional work that this dentist said it was not necessary at this point. I really appreciate he is not chasing dollars but a long-term relationship.
Obviously, their equipment was malfunctioning during my visit; but I am willing to give them a second chance because the staff impressed me. read more
