I love this place, the service is great, the people are nice, and the drinks are the best in town. They got my food out quick and coffee out even quicker so I could make it to work in time. My wife and I were in town for a wedding and our hotel was just down the street from Durango Joes so we went in for a quick breakfast, ordering at the counter. . It was a TERRIBLE experience in terms of service and food ending with a case of food poisoning. We ordered two breakfasts burritos, a pastry to share a cup of coffee and an ice tea. When, after 20 minutes, our food was not yet on the pick up counter, I went to the counter and asked. Without a word, the rude person tending the counter pointed to two breakfast burritos sitting directly on top of the words"On line Orders" divided by a line of tape from an area marked " in store orders". I then pointed out of that if that was our order it was missing the coffee, the ice tea and the pastry. Again without a word, but making clear with his body language that we were putting him out, the counter "gentleman" got the beverages then slapped a FROZEN SOLID lemon bar on the counter. I had one bite of my burrito only as it was By then, cold. My wife ate 1/2 of hers, and three hours later (and not having eaten anything else) my wife was vomiting and suffering diarrhea from food poisoning This could not have been a worse experience and we would never darken the door of this business again! read more

Went to the drive thru and ordered a caramel macchiato and a mocha vanilla latte with soy milk and they didn't add the alternative milk for both drinks but charged for it. Tried to give Durango joes a second chance after bad taste at a brick and mortar downtown but so disappointed. My macchiato had no milk, espresso shots were burnt and the mocha had no vanilla. Ordered a white chocolate mocha with coconut milk and I'm honestly not sure what I got besides something bitter and nasty and full of coffee grounds. Took ten minutes for them to make it so I figured it would be fantastic. I don't live in town so by the time it cooled enough I was too far away to waste time and gas driving back. Not sure why I went back considering last time I got coffee there it was bitter/burnt, wishful thinking they were just having an off day I guess. Almost $9 down the drain.. Ordered a 24 oz. Latte may have received 19 oz. If I'm paying $10 a latte I expect it to be full, otherwise what am I paying for? My milk tastes burnt , I'm sure that's why it is short. Went to Durango Joe's on 20th in Farmington and hadn't been for a while, like a couple of years since we got our own expensive coffee maker. Was astounded that the signs for choices advertised only the 12 oz. for every single choice. When I placed my order, I was asked what size and was given all three sizes as choices. I had to ask for prices. I was angry that the signage advertised only one size choice snd price. False advertising! Luring you in for a higher price! If you don't ask questions you do't know that any other sizes exist! This is supposed to be a Christian run company but false inadvertent advertising is not Christian! I will not be back! read more

Extremely rude check out guy at the window, will not state the name here but do know it. He was mad when I pulled up that the order I gave, was not what was on the computer, so he rolled his eyes and said ok what else did you get in a rude way, and I told him, he shut the window shook his head, i proceeded to check out, he handed me my drinks and didn't say a word. WORST customer service ive ever received here. no need to be rude for something that's not my fault.. why work with the public if you're going to be rude? should probably get another job. read more

Stopped by here on my way to an early morning flight, and what this place offered was perfect! Friendly staff early in the morning and hot coffee is what matters to me. They also had a variety of big goods and stocked on breakfast burritos that really makes the beginning of any travel journey enjoyable. Clean inside and service was fast. I'm from Maryland but travel to Durango about 4-6 times a year. I'm very picky with food and have been apprehensive about trying Durango Joes because of it. Today, I finally did! Customer service: 9/10, only con is that my total was not told to me when my credit card was taken, and my order was not repeated to me. Order accuracy: 4/10. I'm vegan so I ordered my coffee with almond milk. When my order wasn't repeated to me, I got nervous and asked if almond milk was used. They admitted that they used regular cow milk, but willingly and quickly fixed my beverage. :) the girls at the window were awesome. Wait time: I waited 15 to 20 minutes in the drive-through, so if you are in a rush it may be best to just go in. It was definitely not a fast service experience, but it was rush-hour for a coffee shop on a Saturday morning. They did the best they could! Tips: The coffee isn't very sweet, which I like. If you like yours sweeter, ask for extra pumps of flavor syrup or sugar. A small, 12oz latte with two shots of espresso has the same amount of espresso as a 16oz. It is definitely enough to get you going in the morning! If you use dairy milk alternatives, confirm that they were used! Overall, I definitely plan to come again and recommend to my friends here in Durango. Better than Starbucks, great quality, and I feel better about giving to a local business chain than a corporation. :) read more

Small coffee shop still operating even with COVID-19 going on. Drive through or walk in. Tables spread apart. We arrived at 9 so the only breakfast sandwich left was a burrito which was amazing and we also ordered the ham and cheese croissant, also tasty followed by blueberry muffin. Would have gave a five if there were more sandwich selections when we were there. Stoped here as it was across the street as we were getting our vehicle worked on. Somehow even manages to miss that coffee flavor that one's tongue craves. The surprising challenge to finish my coffee this morning was an interesting start to my day. Most coffee places at home charge for an extra shot of espresso ( I like 4 shots in a 24 ounce), but here it's included. I am smitten with this place! I really wish there was a location in Arizona. Every time I come in here, I am always greeted with a smile and very friendly service. The mountain mudslide is my favorite coffee drink of choice. The last time I ventured in here was before my road trip back to Arizona. I brought in a large, clear Starbucks container and ordered my coffee and a blueberry muffin. I asked the guy behind the counter if he could fill my container with water and he even asked if I wanted ice. Did not seem to mind it had Starbucks plastered on it! Coffee is good. Service was friendly. Disappointed that cashier who gave me internet info didn't say anything about internet being down. I was trying to connect for 15 min and even went up again to confirm password. Third time I approached barista to check on internet, that's when I was told of issue. When I lived in Durango i kind of had to go there almost every morning, there are several locations and the drive thru north side one was on my route to work so i would just buy the $20 pre paid cards every week, seriously that is how good the coffee is!! They knew my car when it was waiting in line and had my "usual" ready for me by the time i pulled up!! now thats service!!! you can also buy their beans at the actual walk in locations too which have really comfy couches and chairs, great local art and WI-FI. They have great signature coffee drinks like the avalanche, pumpkin spice or ATL if you need a lil kick! in the summer time I get addicted to their chai freeze, best chai i have ever had, anywhere. they also have pastries, sandwiches and breakfast burritos, bagels, etc from local places in town. We visited a few times while in Durango - exquisite coffee/espresso. Really smooth and bold. I tried both ice coffee, and espresso drinks and was very pleased with both. They even have almond and/or rice milk to make some dairy-free/soy-free smoothies (without High Fructose Corn Syrup!). The prices are about normal for such an establishment. Durango Joe's has friendly service; they are very attentive and won't rush you. It is a nice/comfortable atmosphere. We enjoyed the chairs and tables outside. The inside seemed to be very clean, and offered Wi-Fi and some computers among ample seating options. I would come back again and again for sure! read more

This place was horrible. Super long lines because the employees are extremely slow. Only 1 out of 3 of the drinks we ordered were correct. When I told Shannon or Shawna that there was a mistake she was completely rude and refused to correct it. All the people waiting for drinks agreed they would fire her immediately! The other employees should have offered to help us, but no one did even though they heard how rude she was to us. I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had a couple of hours to kill before a flight and looked for a place I could work and have a latte. Great find! My vanilla latte was just like I wanted it to be. The cranberry scone was the perfect texture, lots of cranberries and tasted great. Even more important was the staff. They were friendly to me and everyone that came into the place. I was really impressed with the way they treated a woman who came in. She was a little disheveled and looked to be down on her luck. They greeted her by name, asked her if she was ok, because she looked sad. They treated her like she was an honored guest. Next time I am in Durango, I'll be back! read more
