Ordered a white chocolate mocha with coconut milk and I'm honestly not sure what I got besides something bitter and nasty and full of coffee grounds. Took ten minutes for them to make it so I figured it would be fantastic. I don't live in town so by the time it cooled enough I was too far away to waste time and gas driving back. Not sure why I went back considering last time I got coffee there it was bitter/burnt, wishful thinking they were just having an off day I guess. Almost $9 down the drain.. Update sent email to manager per their request. Haven't heard anything back.

    Really good coffee

Yum. Glad to sip the good stuff. Free refills of drip. Clean, friendly, well light, great ambiance. Even the tshirts are cool. Go here.

I'm from Maryland but travel to Durango about 4-6 times a year. I'm very picky with food and have been apprehensive about trying Durango Joes because of it. Today, I finally did! Customer service: 9/10, only con is that my total was not told to me when my credit card was taken, and my order was not repeated to me. Order accuracy: 4/10. I'm vegan so I ordered my coffee with almond milk. When my order wasn't repeated to me, I got nervous and asked if almond milk was used. They admitted that they used regular cow milk, but willingly and quickly fixed my beverage. :) the girls at the window were awesome. Wait time: I waited 15 to 20 minutes in the drive-through, so if you are in a rush it may be best to just go in. It was definitely not a fast service experience, but it was rush-hour for a coffee shop on a Saturday morning. They did the best they could! Tips: The coffee isn't very sweet, which I like. If you like yours sweeter, ask for extra pumps of flavor syrup or sugar. A small, 12oz latte with two shots of espresso has the same amount of espresso as a 16oz. It is definitely enough to get you going in the morning! If you use dairy milk alternatives, confirm that they were used! Overall, I definitely plan to come again and recommend to my friends here in Durango. Better than Starbucks, great quality, and I feel better about giving to a local business chain than a corporation. :)

Good food, coffee and quick! We popped in on our drive home. So glad we chose this spot.

Horrible experience. Iced tea was undrinkable and they were blasting heavy metal rock. Not a nice place to get work done.

Visited here as soon as they opened. Coffee was great and so were the breakfast sandwiches. And the staff was excellent.

This place was really bad. Burrito was Lukewarm, no salsa and coffee tasted sour. Service wasn't bad just not good either.

However, we had gone on its closing day and had some great tacos, salad, and ramen. Their birria is rich and meaty with a touch of cinnamon and was awesome as a ramen and taco. If you are a lover of well done birria, this is your place. Craving authentic Mexican food? Yep, this is your place. We started with their chips and salsa. I think you can tell a lot by the salsa at a place. Lemme just say, I was so very happy! Their salsa wasn't too chunky, not too thin and they are not afraid to season and add some heat - but hey, don't worry it wasn't too hot if you've got a dad like mine who isn't a fan of "too much spice." Such a good omen. I couldn't decide which marg to try so ordered a flight. Best decision ever. Even as I write this, I'm still hard pressed to choose a favorite. They were all so good. Add street tacos, quesadillas for my mom, elote cob, and switch fries for my dad and we were all happy campers. The flavors were obscenely good. Staff were amazing and stopped by to make sure we were always taken care of: fast and friendly. Best combo ever. The place is also super cute! Loved the bar and simplicity of the concept. Switchback has a quiet elegance while be so very casual. Perfect in my book.

To her credit, our kind waitress had the kitchen quickly make me a new one, but honestly it was still borderline inedible. This time, due to the salt. Not only was the meat heavily salted, but the breading was overly salted as well. I couldn't even taste the meat or the breading (or even the potatoes) because it wasn't a giant plate of salt. I ate all the broccolini, a few bites of potatoes, and a few bites of steak. I hate that all restaurants, because of patrons and their salt-conditioned palates, serve the most sodium-laden monstrosities possible. I didn't feel good eating it, I didn't want to eat more than a few bites, and I left the restaurant full of regret for the bites I did take. On the plus side, the beer is exceptionally tasty, and my kids both enjoyed their meals. We are leaving tomorrow and so we won't be back, but I wouldn't be back otherwise as well.

The spinach/artichoke dip was a bit heavy and overcooked. You def could not dip your chips in it. I got the poblano chx fried steak. It was good but also a bit overcooked. Some folks got burgers and pizza and they all said it was fine. Go for the service and drinks!! Fun atmosphere. Sorry- it was too crazy trying to get pics.
