During a visit to Durango, I found Durango Coffee Co. I tried the Orange Matcha and the Caramel Borjia and both were amazing. Service was friendly and helpful with the selections. The atmosphere here is soooo relaxing with more of a home vibe. They take pride in the presentation all the way down to the handwriting on the cup. In town for 24 hours and wanted to find some really good coffee. I checked Yelp, saw the reviews, and decided to give this place a try. It was pretty crowded, and I can see why. The service was amazing and the staff was very friendly. The vibe was great with plenty of seating, tables, couches, and just an overall perfect setup to hang out or relax. Street parking is available, and there are lots of great food options nearby on the strip. I ordered a caramel latte with oat milk and it was perfect. I really wanted to like Durango Coffee Company because of their cute atmosphere, but unfortunately, the chai was the worst I've ever had. It was incredibly watery and overwhelmingly spiced -- like a cinnamon bomb with no balance of flavor. I gave it a second chance with another sip, but it was honestly undrinkable and ended up in the trash. I can't speak for the rest of their menu, and the staff was friendly enough, but if you're a chai lover, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

If I ever opened a coffeeshop, this is exactly what I would want it to look like. The ambiance is welcoming, and the decor makes you feel like you're in a friend's extended living room. If I needed to get away for a couple hours to work, this is the place I'd pick in Durango. We ordered an iced orange mocha and a homemade strawberry pop tart, though I wanted to order one of everything in the case. The orange mocha was just sweet enough, with a strong espresso flavor cutting through, which is just as I like it. Spacious coffee shop with options for couch and table seating. They have a seasonal drink menu which seemed ready for fall. My husband had the pistachio latte which was really good, and I had a London fog which felt cozy and warm. The pastries were a bit on the disappointing side - we had the pumpkin and blueberry muffins and the homemade strawberry poptart. The muffins were okay - not bad but not something I would necessarily order again. The poptart was a bit better but the icing on the outside was just a tad too sweet for my preference. Recommend coming here for coffee/tea drinks. read more

I had a fantastic lavender Irish cream breve latte from Durango CC, and the vibes inside are fantastic - the best of any coffee shop I'd encountered in Durango I would say! They had lots of pastries and an expansive menu with several syrup flavors too (hence the lavender and Irish cream - it was a GREAT combo). They also have a cool underground bathroom (I think ?shared with another store), and they had general Colorado merchandise for sale too. There were tons of tables, it's a nice place to sit and linger. The staff are pretty fast too. No complaints! read more

First the coffee is excellent! A spacious yet cozy coffee shop serving not only the many coffee drinks one would see at Starbucks but also pastries, muffins and some pre made sandwiches made in house. Unfortunately they were out of sandwiches the morning I visited so I ordered the zucchini chili mini quiche and my husband ordered the zucchini sausage mini quiche and then went back for a pumpkin muffin. Both were flavorful and tasty. The shop also has a small gift shop inside. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome. We stop here anytime we go through Durango! read more

This has been my favorite coffee spot in D town for more than 20 years, both when living here and just passing through. We were in town recently and stopped in a couple times over the weekend. What do I like? Their roasts are always on point, great taste and a good kick on its own. This time, I enjoyed a potent, tasty nitro cold brew and another the next visit. Every cup came out just right in a welcoming and chill atmosphere with friendly coffee hounds and locals. Five stars for great coffee and vibes. read more

I stopped by here twice - the first time I ordered the iced cardamom rose latte with coconut milk, which was one of their specials. This is by far the BEST latte I've had in a while, as it had the perfect notes of both flavors. However the second time I stopped by I ordered the iced pistachio latte with coconut milk, which was a bit disappointing. However, the baristas were very friendly, which really set the tone of my visit here and the overall vibe of the cafe. read more

Visited this coffee shop when I was passing through. Went out of my way to try it out, but I would say save your time, and money. One because customer service was disappointing. Man that took my order looked annoyed, and was rude. The coffee was okay as far as taste, but was not balanced at all. The Large or 20oz. only came with two shots of espresso. I ordered mine iced, but it came with only a few ice cubes floating at the top. It was hot inside;no A/C. Although, the ambiance was very cute. Best coffee house in Durango! The decor, furniture and ambiance is wonderful. I love their locally roasted brewed coffee with a quiche Lorraine or the egg frittata. I get there early and I'll sit by the window and watch life in Durango go by. The people behind the counter are always friendly and they'll recommend new items on the menu. Stopped by here on the way to mesa verde NP and it was pretty good and service was quick. Coffee taste was on point. We had a trailer with us so parking wasn't the easiest but good thing is we showed up early enough not to create any traffic problems. read more

The shop is also a great spot to take cute, eclectic pictures. We ordered a lavender latte, which was not too sweet although I'd likely ask for more lavender next time; a cardamom rose latte, which my husband really liked; and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, which was the BEST oatmeal cookie I've had in my life. A very nice spacious and relaxing space where they serve pretty good coffee! A nice service, and the cafe also has a small shop in the back. I usually don't comment on restrooms, but their restroom reminded me of the late 1800's Victorian era style when Durango prospered from silver and gold ores. Would love to go back again! read more

I have two tests for choosing a legit coffee place: a simple menu and a flat white or cortado on the menu. Durango Coffee Company passed. I asked if it was possible to get a flat white and it was. Turned out delicious. The shop is cozy with plenty of seating. It's a great place to rest up, or duck out of the rain and enjoy a nice warm drink. read more

Everyone seems to love their coffee, but since I don't like coffee I got a chai tea. Worst Chai I've ever had. It has almost no chai flavor, just tastes like steamed water with a touch of flavor. Their cookies are great. Never been a fan of chocolate chip oatmeal, but I ate most of my daughter's. Shh, don't tell her. This was a really cozy coffee shop on Main Street Durango. I got the seasonal egg nog latte which was delicious! Not too sweet, which I prefer. My partner got the seasonal cookie latte which had raspberry and amaretto syrup in it. I honestly wasn't sure how that would taste in coffee, but it was delicious. I also got a morning glory muffin, which was both vegan and gluten free, and I am still dreaming about it. The texture was a little different (probably because it was GF) but I actually really liked that part of it. We also got a couple of cold sandwiches to take with us snowshoeing. My husband got one with Turkey and cranberry sauce, similar to a thanksgiving leftover sandwich. He liked it, but thought there was too much spring mix on the sandwich. I got the veggie sandwich with hummus and really enjoyed it. The bread on both sandwiches was a little crumbly, so it became a bit messy towards the end. Overall, I would definitely come back here for a cup of joe and a pastry next time we're in Durango. read more

The drinks were delicious! I ordered a breve with caramel and chocolate and my husband ordered some kind of mocha with orange in it -- I forgot what it was called but it was really good as well! Very busy when we went, but we still got our orders quick. The coffee shop itself was beautiful with a variety of different seating. This has been my coffee spot for years. I love it, this time was even better. I feel like the people working were more friendly. They have a gift shop to look around while you wait on your coffee. And first time I've found hemp milk in a while, not even CA or NY could I find it. We had a coconut hemp and blueberry honey hemp latte. So good! Prices seem about normal and it's always busy but I didn't feel the wait was bad browsing through the gifts. It is right on Main Street, perfect location. read more

Place looked nice but the staff was a bit cold for my liking. They also had no working bathroom, major inconvenience. They recommended going all the way to visitor center. I instead went next door and ordered my tea from Hermosa and used their restroom . Unfortunately their Nitro wasn't working so hubby came back here to get a nitro which he said was good.
