Staff is friendly, the grounds are beautiful and it can be relaxing. The new bathrooms were nice. But the dressing room was small fornthe amount of guests at the time of our last visit. We went this past weekend and it was very crowded and hard for two of us to find a pool that we wouldn't be shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Empty cups and aluminum alcohol bottles floating in tubs. Kids were picking up cups discarded by adults, filling them with dirt and pouring them into the pools while parents partied. We moved a few times and it wasn't a singular occurrence. Many people mentioned they were overstaying their 2 hour pass because the was no way staff could identify them. I used work at a hostpring so I know how hard it is to enforce, but understand that it causes issues like we were seeing. Hot water was nice, but the overall experience could be better. Just dont expect it to be relaxing.

A few things to note: there is no room service (at least during our stay), the front desk closes at 9p - like most of the town, the vanity is a little dim for makeup and there are no vending machines or any way to buy drinks or snacks at the hotel. There is also a $12 parking fee per day that was not listed when we made the reservation. Overall, it was an excellent choice! Looking forward to our next stay.

The passes include a ride on their Inferno Mountain Coaster, the Alpine slides, Go Karts, Board/Boat trip in the lake and gold panning but we went on double ride day and had double the fun! Our half day passes were from 10am-1:30pm but we ended up staying until 3pm just enjoying the mountain scenes and Bear Bar and eats! We all agreed it was something we would want to do every summer. The views and adventures were incredible and we definitely made lifelong memories here. Note, strongly suggest you hit up the coaster, alpine slides and gold panning together as the Go Karts and Lake Adventures are more towards the entrance of the resort, but with the shuttle and awesome staff, it's easy to get there and they were super supportive of time restraints!

I have never stayed at a place that felt so homely. The bed was comfy and thank goodness there was no down comforter- I get so hot with those no matter the temp. They also own a restaurant and bar next door- such a convenience! My mom and I enjoyed some cold brew and beers outside while waiting for our check in time. Hands down, the best place I've stayed! The lady at the front desk was super friendly and said we could. So we paid and dropped our dogs off to get spayed. We returned to the room and took our luggage in. We went to enjoy the hot tub, the steps into the hot tub are tricky but it felt nice after a 4 hour drive. All in all if you like history this is the place to go. Yes! It's outdated! Yes! It's dingy! But the views of the animas river are amazing. Staff is super friendly. We will return again and again.

Not rude, not great just eh....didnt explain half the things to me that they did to the others checking in. The parking is atrocious. I called the day before and was told "it should be fine". It's a nightmare. They have three hotels jammed into the same corner. The room was clean and ok. The ac sounded like a machine going off through the night. Overall- clean property but most likely won't be back.
