I was looking for cleaning supplies for my firearms, and this shop definitely impressed me. The store is large, clean, and extremely well-organized, with handguns displayed by manufacturer and thousands of new and used firearms to choose from. The layout and number of display cases made it easy to browse, and the selection included many guns I had never seen in person before. There was plenty of staff available to assist, and they were more than willing to show and explain different firearms. Even though I wasn't in the market for a new gun that day, if I had been, I would have purchased one on the spot. For my original purpose, I came in looking for a specific Slip 2000 solvent, and they had it in stock at a great price--no need to order online. Overall, this is one of the most impressive gun shops I've visited. The staff was friendly and helpful, the selection was outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable. If you're in San Antonio and looking for a new or used firearm--or even just accessories and supplies--I highly recommend checking out Dury's Guns. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The owner, Ed, was the person who worked with us. He asked us questions which helped narrow down what he felt would work for us. He spent a lot of time showing us different options on guns and explained the benefits and downsides of each firearm. We never felt pressured or pushed to hurry a decision. When we decided to leave we indicated he had given us a lot of things to think about. He thanked us for coming in and said he hoped when we were ready to purchase we would come back. Given our positive experience we will definitely be back when we decide to make the purchase.

Eventually, I did discuss it with the owner, Rex, who assured me that I would be treated better. He even put me in direct contact with a manager there to deal with... so I gave it a second chance and purchased the rifle. As a 'thank you' and a 'sorry you were treated that way', they gave me and my friend (who also bought a rifle) some give cards for range time. Each card was supposed to have two trips. When I went in and tried to use my card, they rang up the range etc, and then kept the card. So I tried to explain that it was for two range visits and explained to the manager what happened previously. He even remembered what happened, and acknowledged that I was given the extras, but doubled down and said "no, you're only getting one trip to range time" and basically dared me to report to Rex. So I tried. I notified Rex via text message that I was again treated terribly,. He was away on vacation and told me that he would address it when he got back. I never heard from him. The other reviews are right. It is a nice place and clean ranges.... BUT... the customer service can be the worst you've ever seen, and the prices are high. Now I can see paying higher prices for a nice place with excellent customer service... but customer service can be as important as the product you buy... and if you're getting service as bad as this place gives... then you're paying way too high a price. I've seen Rex respond to reviews, and in those responses he states that he wishes they would reach out to mgmnt first before posting bad reviews.... but what about when you reach out to the owner (Rex) directly and he doesn't respond? But sadly, this place is a shadow of what it once was. All the employees I've grown to like: Attila, Donovan, Rob, John, Mike, Paul, they have gone from the company citing issues with management. The quality has gone down to far since then, and I don't see myself ever returning. While I was there, the gunsmith did take good care of my guns. The range was relatively clean both in archery and firearms. The membership was expensive. For nearly $100/mo for a family plan, you get access to a 17-yard firearm range. Most other places have 25-300 yards, with even one having 100 yards indoors for the same monthly price! Overpriced to say the least. For what the price is, you can go elsewhere and have been amenities. Look elsewhere unless you are just coming in for a day or two.

Restored to be Able to React ~…read more Several Months ago a souvenir of Sand from Jamaica broke in my bag and invaded every crevice of my Kimber. I tried to dust her off and clean the barrel with my gun kit, but didn't do a good job. I stuck my baby in the drawer and after a month or so, sliding the chamber became difficult and you could audibly hear the crunching of the sand. One of my military friends was able to clean her a bit more while scolding me and said to get her professionally cleaned. I searched Google and Jeff's Gun shop popped up near me on De Zavala. As we entered the shop, Jeff's warm smile greeted me first and of course I was proud to see the military and police emblems proudly displayed about. Being a little rusty on my weapon, Jeff Gave me a lesson on my Kimber, as well as, a discussion on the sand in my weapon. ( Sand Not Allowed) slowly downcast eyes.... He promised me that he could restore her to new and get her to the performance she was designed for. I explained that I wanted a weapon with less recoil and he recommended I try Nardis for the "Practice and Purchase" feature. I left my baby in good hands and followed his advice and headed to Nardis. I did in fact purchase a Smith and Wesson that weekend after practicing on several different weapons. Today, I picked up my baby and was amazed at the photos of the rust that invaded my weapon. In her former state, I would not have been confident that she would be able to fire correctly. Jeff took her apart and cleaned every bit of rust and sand from her interior. The care and attention to detail was evident as I slid the chamber back and forth and didn't hear a crunching sound. My baby was clean and restored to her former Glory! Thank you Jeff for taking care of my girl! This Soldier appreciates you and I Promise I'll never let her get that bad again. Im not an expert and I wouldn't even claim novice. I'm not a stranger to guns but I've never had to shoot one either (the BB gun I had as a kid is the exception). The service staff was great and informing me what gun to practice with. They really took their time explaining. I settled on a 45. The birthday girl was already inside getting a private lesson but she'd been the day before and bought a 22. Another sorority sister gave me a lot of tips so by the time the attendant came to walk me through, I was ready. I started with the 22 and that felt good. I did quite a few practice rounds with that one. I decided to try a small purple gun my sis brought with her. I had to! It was purple! The power from that gun was mightier than its size. I was blown away! So yeah, I went back to the 22 lol. I really enjoyed the day and was glad to celebrate with her but now I have a new interest. I priced the guns, I have no way of knowing whether I'm getting a good deal or not. I decided to have a talk with my cousin to see what he thinks and purchase later. If you've never been, just know the fees add up. You need ear protection & eye protection and they have it available for purchase. If you wear glasses, they count as eye protection. It's crazy loud, I used the ear plugs and the over the ear muffs. And of course there are fees to rent a gun (if you don't bring your own) and for use of the range.

Just buy ammo and go somewhere else to many rules and bad customer service never againread more
