Pre P.S. the owner threatened to ban us for reacting to this, but it's worth the public knowing... this is my other half's experience and I was there to witness it. (Also pointing out the owners used to be really close friends) 100% do not give these people your money. I have the receipts and photo proof from the past two years. OH BOY ALMIGHTY. I am not a person to write reviews but this one deserves A LOT. I've been a regular at Dusty Rose Reserve for quite some time, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I came in as I normally do and was immediately subjected to crude and inappropriate comments from a patron who was making repeated remarks about my appearance. He called me a "four eyes" and a "fucking ginger" because I wear glasses and have red hair. I initially brushed it off and went to sit back down because I wasn't there looking for a confrontation. Later, I went back to the bar simply to ask for some salt for my food. The same man looked at me and said, "They're out of salt, just like you're out of shorts." That comment was heard by multiple regulars and new patrons, and I want to give credit where it's due: several people immediately stood up for me and made it very clear that his behavior was unacceptable. I genuinely appreciated the people who spoke up. Then we found out this wasn't just some random patron. Apparently, this man was the newly hired manager. The bartender working that night was on only his THIRD DAY. When he attempted to address the situation and remove the manager, the manager threatened him by saying, "Remember who writes your schedule. Are you sure you want to do this?" Think about that for a second. A brand-new employee was being threatened with his job by the manager because he tried to stand up for a customer who was being sexually inappropriate and verbally harassed. The owner also threatened to ban us from the establishment for calling out HIS BARTENDER'S behavior. At that point, my friend contacted the owner because we have a longstanding relationship with the owners. Unfortunately, that conversation did not go well. The owner became angry and hung up on my friend. I then called myself because I wanted to speak with Rosie directly, hoping that another woman might better understand why I was upset and uncomfortable with what had happened. Instead, I was told that the manager had already been fired and that it was "not fair" that my friend had supposedly called to yell at his wife. For the record, my friend is one of the most genuinely kind and non-confrontational people I know. He was frustrated, yes, but he is not someone who goes around screaming at people. I repeatedly asked to speak with Rosie directly and was refused. Eventually, I ended the call with, "Thank you for firing the guy, but no thanks on this yelling," and hung up. I'm glad the manager was ultimately fired. However, the fact that it took customers standing up for me, a brand-new bartender putting his job on the line, and multiple phone calls before anything was done is extremely concerning. I've spent a lot of time at Dusty Rose Reserve and have supported this establishment as a regular. I genuinely hope the owners take this situation seriously... not just because of what happened to me, but because of how a newly hired employee was treated when he attempted to do the right thing. No woman should have to walk into a bar and be subjected to comments about her body or clothing, and no employee should be threatened with their schedule for trying to protect a customer. I appreciate the patrons who stood up for me, and I sincerely hope the bartender who was put in that position knows that he did the right thing. Good news ... HUGE wall of draft beers. The sandwiches and wraps come with a side even though not listed on their menu. . Bad news ... if you don't pick which side, they're going to choose for you! . Great news ... they were able to swap out the side quickly, and I got a beautiful side salad! Only one person working up front, but she was able to handle my situation with a smile and still stay on top of her game with all the other customers. . So-so news ... sodas are served in a can for take-out, no cups and lids. . Final news ... located on the end of a shopping plaza with plenty of close, free parking. I would return when I had more time to stay, and try more of the menu. read more

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience for lunch at the Dusty Rose Reserve. The service was great, exactly what you expect from a brewery. We decided to use some of their available card games while we were waiting for lunch and it helped add to our excellent afternoon. Started off our meal with the Keg Tots and they were cooked perfectly. I ordered the finger steaks which were plentiful and tasty, as were the fries. I really liked their choice of bbq sauce. My wife had the mac and cheese which was great (note: a big spicier than expected). The also have a large selection of drinks. We'll definitely be back and if you are in the area I would encourage others to check them out. read more

We came here for the first time today and were initially impressed. Alex greeted us right away and got our drinks quickly -- he was friendly, attentive, and made a great first impression. Unfortunately, we weren't able to order food because we had to catch a movie. However, during our visit, we overheard who we believe to be one of the owners (his photos were displayed on the wall) speaking poorly about employees and referring to them as "idiots." That alone was disappointing, but hearing it within earshot of customers felt extremely unprofessional. As a long-time business owner myself, I firmly believe you are only as strong as your team. Respecting employees -- especially publicly -- is critical to a healthy work environment and strong customer experience. It was uncomfortable to witness and ultimately the reason we won't be returning. I genuinely felt sorry for the staff working that shift. Additionally, it appeared that both owners may have been drinking while on shift, which also felt unprofessional. One of them did approach us and seemed very sweet, but after overhearing the earlier comments, it unfortunately changed the entire atmosphere for us. The overall ambiance was decent, and Alex did a great job. It's just disappointing when leadership undermines what could otherwise be a positive experience. read more

If you have not been here in a while, you need to come back and visit. The owners have transformed it into a welcoming place where you can meet friends for dinner or just relax with drinks. They have 52 beers on tap and a full bar. Service was excellent and the owners and staff make you feel welcome and appreciated. I had a Tri Tip wrap that was tender and flavorful. I am NEVER one to leave a bad review, as I know that every place has an off day...buuut...this one can't be avoided. From start to finish, it was just BAD. My boyfriend and I decided to try a new place we've never been and found Dusty Rose reserve on a Google search. It looked good so decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, it was busy and most of the tables were taken so figured that was a good sign that people liked the place. They told us to sit wherever we wanted and someone would be with us. The first thing we noticed is the ambience is just not warm and inviting. There are bright troff lights that make it feel like a cafeteria or something. We sat at one table and it was so wobbly that we decided to move to another. That table was OK, but the chairs were practically falling apart and we were afraid to wiggle too much that they might just completely break. Lol. We looked around for other chairs to swap them for, but they were all in the same condition. We sat for about 15 minutes before we had to go to the bar to ask for service. Long story, short, the margaritas were not great and came out without salt, which we had requested and we got someone else's food order. Turned out to be the table of about eight or so women sitting next to us who, upon talking to, were having the same first (and would be last) bad experience there. I got the Baja fish tacos and my boyfriend got the tri-tip tacos, both with fries, but they came out with chips and salsa. Mine was actually chicken tacos (because it actually belonged to the gal at the table next to us), and they were cold. The tri-tip tacos just really lacked any flavor at all and were very bland. The server said he was going to bring us a big basket of fries since that's what we ordered, but those never came. We just wanted out of there at that point lol. I will say our server was very nice, just wasn't doing very well in a busy environment and that was obvious. To their credit, he did comp our food and just charged us for our drinks, so that felt fair. But needless to say, we will never be returning, and I would never recommend the place to anyone which is unfortunate but you don't know until you try! Lol. read more

This place is such a mess, unfortunately. The additional space when you walk in to the right is literally an empty room with a couple awkward pictures on the wall, couple of tvs and chairs. Seems odd and doesn't fit the rest of the building. Drinks were alright and the food was an absolute joke for the price. Unless you want to pay upwards of $15 or more for frozen chicken strips and appetizers. Could've purchased our own bags of frozen stuff from Winco and popped it into the air frier for cheaper. Service was alright; weren't many people (I think 1 other group of 4 people who clearly knew the owners) in the place when we were. So not much to take care of in the service department when you have no one to attend to. We love to support local small places but this one was a bust unfortunately. read more

Met up here with a small group. We wanted to support local business, and this is surely that. The owners are working it every day, and have poured everything they have into it. They expanded the space from the previous tenants, but the new additional space lacks any ambiance. White walls, no theme to the space. It looks clean though. The friends I was with stated, "well, this isn't what I was expecting." Not so much in a negative sense, but just being honest about the ambiance, as there is so much competition in the area. The original tenant space looks cool, a craft brew, growler type bar. They have signage saying Order Here, at the bar, but if there is enough staff, which I suspect isn't often, they will come to your table. Service for me was friendly, but sub bar. Instead of offering things like water, utensils, menus, condiments, you had to ask for them. Each and every time. There were no recommendations or specials or favorites offered up. The food was good! Flatbreads, fish, salads! Oh my! Once served, there was no hurry to clear the table, so if you still want to stay and drink, maybe have dessert, all of the dirty dishes were still in front of you. I'm sure because of staffing. This is a great space, only a year old, and definitely has potential, but they need to draw people in and have a bigger identity than "we fell in love, bought this place, and here we are." I'd love to see a wall of chalkboard art, or a mural, or a grouping of sentimental photos, rather than spaced out to fill the wall...I hope they succeed, but for right now, I'm just crossing my fingers. read more

The employees and owner are welcoming and friendly! There is a large selection of beer and cider on tap plus cocktails, and wine! Currently just a couple snacks available but the kitchen is opening soon and will have a variety of apps and entrees! Disappointed. We went for dinner, but food seems to be an afterthought here. This is clearly a bar that happens to serve food. And the food wasn't spectacular, especially the salsa. The chips were broken and small. The food was not worth the price. The atmosphere is lackluster and service was subpar. I came across this place the other day and let me tell you - it is a hidden gem. After a day out shopping with my daughter, we were both hungry and looking for a place we could grab a quick bite and a drink. Upon entering, the owner welcomed us and explained the menu to us. She was so kind and suggested some really yummy appetizers as well as the beer menu. They have over 52 beers on tap so my eyes were a little crossed but I tried the apple beer that she recommended. It was out of this world! We also enjoyed the nachos and the presentation of the food. The atmosphere was friendly and lively and we immediately felt like part of the family. Was denied service because I have the new Idaho ID. The beertender, Cody, claimed my form of identification was not valid because it is not a star card. Be aware, if you have the new ID and do not have the star card he thinks you are not able to use it for alcohol purchases. Management should educate their staff on how to read IDs. Since it's not a star card AKA idahos version of the 'Real ID' it reads "not acceptable for Real ID official purposes".
