Our first stop in Idaho and it was this bar. We were going to make a pit stop at Fred Meyers before heading camping at Macks Creek and needed fuel for our bodies. The place is a typical dive bar with regulars. Not the worst I've seen and not the best. The server was busy with many customers which made her attention to some guests take longer than if she had help. I was curious about the Idaho Nachos so ordered them. What were they? potatoes with cheese, sour cream, and bacon bits. I should have known they would be potatoes. They were okay. They had a tangerine wheat beer that was delicious. Pretty interesting little place. Came here for lunch and left with a full belly. I ordered the ruben sandwich and I was pretty satisfied. The bread was wonderful and the horseradish sauce that was hiding with the meat was a wonderful surprise. The meat however was very chewy and difficult eat. I ordered a side of tots and I am convinced you can never go wrong with those little bites of goodness! The people I went here with had a burger and a black bean burger. They both said they were delicious sandwiches! They didn't offer me a delectable little bite, what horrible friends! ;) The reason I give this place a 3 is because it took 45 minutes to get our food. Our lunch break, like most humans in earth, was an hour. Paint your own picture as to how long our lunch break ended up being. Service was great and people were friendly. The menu is mostly sandwiches. Great sandwiches but don't expect to leave feeling full. They put hardly any meat on the sandwich. I have been twice and both times I was genuinely disappointed at the amount of meat on my sandwich. I got a Philly and it had exactly two very thin slices of roast beef. If you get a sandwich get extra meat forsure because it is a very small amount. Other than that the service was great and the food tastes good. For me I don't like leaving a restaurant after eating an entree and still being really hungry. read more

Shogun Sushi was closed and I was in much need of some lunch. Never been here before and it'll be my last visit. Small place with your typical local loud, aging dbags who have no volume control nor filter. Sat at the bar. Ordered the Spicy Stubb Club. Slivers of ham, roast and turkey just didn't cut it. Made sure to get the spicy dressing on the side and am very glad about that. Could not imagine trying to choke a sandwich down coated with this homemade concoction that's your typical over-spiced, zero flavor goo. A friend recommended this place and it was good. It's a nice neighborhood bar in a strip mall. Parking may be better behind the bar as some complained about it on here. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the happy hour menu had a good selection. Be wary the happy hour menu had some items priced a little higher than the regular menu. We had the naked wings which were excellent and a large pizza. The pizza was good and better than expected from a bar. It looks like a great place to watch a game. read more

Came through here on random chance to watch BSU play in a bowl game. Decent service; decent local beers like Pray for Snow. Wasn't anything special that stood out. It's in good location for those by the airport and gets the job done as a bar. We ordered loaded macho nachos, but nothing different than anywhere else you could get loaded stadium nachos. This is a tiny, dinky little place set in a strip mall with some rather unfortunate parking spaces. Might be an ok place to have a beer. Lunch was on the ok side. I was on a finger steak kick at the time and their rendition, while not the best I had on the trip or ever, was not the worst, either, so solidly in the middle. I can't imagine every coming here for a sporting event, though. Way too close quarters, unless you could rent the whole place for you and your buds. Maybe then, though the food is clearly not their focus. Definitely a bit of an anomaly, kind of an odd place, but all in all, a pretty ok change of pace. read more

Do not order the chicken here. And if you do and send it back be prepared to be treated poorly. My girlfriend and I both ordered the Cobb salad and after her first bite she asked me to try it and tell her what I thought. My first thought was it wasn't cooked enough. The chicken was spongy and didn't taste like chicken. Upon examination it looked more like tofu. It actually had air pockets! Our server was pleasant enough and offered to make something else. We both went with burgers. Then the cook/manager came out and it was clear he wanted to argue. I guess they call it their fajita chicken and he claimed they have never had a complaint. The food here is really great and reasonable priced as well. However, I have been here about 5 times and every time now it has taken almost an hour to get our food. Went here on a Tuesday once for cheap tacos with about 4 other friends and it took forever to get our food and then they would bring out one plate at a time while we had to wait almost 10 minutes to get the next one. Great local Sport's Pub. Servers are all super friendly (5 stars for service) and the food is very consistent. Sandwiches are really good. I would also give sandwiches 5 stars. Idaho Nachos are a fun Ap to try. I like it without chili, most people get it with chili. great Happy Hour and Daily specials. I would give everything else on the menu 3 to 4 stars. Ordered a French Dip here today and on the last bite of the first half of the sandwich, I found a HAIR. I showed the server, sent back the other half of the sandwich and about 3/4 of my fries that were left. I get the bill and they charge me for HALF of the sandwich! What business owner does that?? Goodness! What can I honestly say? There is only one or two great servers who are friendly and attentive. We have been locked out front on the patio! We have been told last call was at 9:45 when the place closes at 11! It is always the same server that does these things. We have found hair in our cups that is definitely not the color of our hair nor as long as any of our hair! Not only in our drink cups but in our food and our dressings! Doesn't anyone know of a hair tie there? Sheesh! What happened to the amazing servers they used to have there? Definitely will not be going back there or if I see certain servers working I will leave! Sad to see a great little neighborhood bar go down. Maybe the owners would like to see this place go down?
