The person was cheerful when she took our order. I ordered a salted caramel hot cocoa and my shopping partner for the day got the sugar free Red Bull mixed drink. We enjoyed them. I've been seeing these everywhere so finally thought I'd give it a try. Honestly, I don't get why they're being shoved down our throats. First, this whole drive through set up was whack. The weird parking lot next to the ordering area was weird. Second, I was really disappointed to see them have their staff standing outside. Look, I get customer service & personalize experience is all the rage, but this is a bit extreme, especially without warning/cooling station. Finally, on to the coffee. Weird they don't have drip available, only americanos. Even the best small biz coffee shops have a drip option. The latte I ordered was...okay. Very milky, not strong espresso. A Western States Drive-Up Only Version of Starbucks. Lots and lots of non-caffeinated drinks if it is too late in the day for coffee. Their own soda, their own milkshakes, their own cocoa ... and their own energy drinks, coffee, chai and tea if you want the jolt anyway. * * * The drinks are fantastic. Of especial note is a cold brew with milk and a thick crema on top. I would order that one over and over again happily. They have other coffee drinks which are good as well. Italian syrups rule at Dutch Brothers. They have a million different flavors and they are capable of doing elaborate combos. Study their list of elaborate combos. Management has entertaining and wacky ideas. * * * * Two pains in the b*** Both of which you can work around. There is no menu. Starbucks has moved in that direction too - and this drives me nuts at Starbucks as well. They kind of sorta tell you what category of drinks they have and you imagine what you want. In some cases, you can consult with the barista like a sommelier. And with planning you can find a drink. This contributes to the long long lines waiting to get your coffee. If you don't want a technical consulting session with your barista, You can go online and find a menu. That menu requires interrogation to 'get it to talk'. There are lots of panels that have to be clicked on. You have to hit "more" multiple times to get the information you need. But if you work, you can figure out what drinks they have and figure out what you want to order. Pretend you are a professional handicapper at the horse track working up the racing form before the first race. If I am feeling lazy, I just go and order the cold brew with crema. But usually a trip to Dutch Bros means homework first. * * * The second pain is that the lines are super-long at the drive through window. Sneaky Trick #4762 Go to the walk-up window. There is usually a dedicated barista there, and she can get you taken care of. The walk from the parking lot to the window is good for your health. Sitting in the car waiting is only good if you want to hear the latest double album from your favorite band. * * * Obviously Dutch Brothers is not a good call if you want to work in a coffee house all day. There is no sitting and mooching off their free internet. But if life is all about the coffee, or about hot cocoa or about homemade soda ... I've been to some good and bad Dutch Bros but I can say that this one is fantastic. The people are super nice and extremely quick. Even when the line is all the way back, it only takes a few minutes to get my drink despite how many I order. I recommend this location to anyone who loves coffee! read more

Dutch Bros -------------- Starbucks I wish I would've caught the name of our "broista" this morning because she deserves all the praise! She was genuine and peppy (but not overly) and engaged in real conversation with us while she made our coffees. She was polite and professional all while keeping our experience exciting. I asked for a regular cup of coffee. Didn't think it was too much to ask since it's a coffee shop. Once I got to the window, the lady gave me an americano. I asked her if she could just do a regular coffee and she said they don't make those. Looked on the app, no regular coffee. How do you call yourself a coffee shop if you can't produce a regular cup of coffee? Waste of time and money going here. read more
