Update: gave this location another try after several months, and while the service was faster- it was still horrible. We ordered 5 drinks, and the baristas messed up 4 of them, one of them twice. 3 drinks had to be completely remade. Plus, we were charged for a drink we didn't order and had to get a refund. 3 tries at this location, 3 horrible experiences. We'll go somewhere else from now on- either out of our way for a different Dutch Bros, or a competitor. read more

I've been going to Dutch Bros. since they opened their first AZ location years ago and I used to be a big fan! I was really into sweet drinks back then with a lot of cream and that's exactly what Dutch Bros is. All of their drinks look like a pale off white color from all of the heavy cream they put in it, unless you ask for half the amount or a substitute. They are also overly sweet for my liking and will give me a stomach ache if I don't have them do it half sweet. I've tried just black coffee, iced coffee, cold brew and an americano there and they're all good, but not great. I think the coffee is lacking in flavor and tastes a little dull. The one drink I like to get is the ER911 (I believe there is 6 shots of espresso) so we get it for road trips and stuff. We do it half sweet with whole milk! The employees are very nice but very chatty which can sometimes be a pain if you're in a hurry or there is a long line. read more

Finally a Dutch Bros Coffee in Ahwatukee! This location opened a few weeks ago. From what I experienced, the drive through line was really long so I just went inside and ordered a infused tea size large for $3.75 I believe it's called The Rainbow. It has peach, strawberry and coconut flavoring. Very bright pink drink. They have a small menu displayed. Their menu online is their full menu. I'm more of a visual person so I'm not a big fan of having to look online when ordering something. read more

You have to know what you're getting into here.... Dutch Bros does not have amazing coffee...they have ridiculously sweet drinks that may have coffee in them.... Now, that's not a problem, just don't expect to get the same experience as at most coffee shops. The people who work here are usually friendly and helpful. The line is fairly efficient. I love Dutch bros and don't go too often mainly because I am never in the areas typically where most of them are. So for me, it's a special treat. I'm so glad I found this location close to work. I visited today and told them what kind of flavors I usually like. They suggested the iced mocha w/snickers. OHHH YEAHHH!!! I'm in. They got a nice tip. Love their suggestions. I got a L which was a great idea. It was delicious. Definitely going back soon. Also, this location has a nice spacious inside area w/bathrooms and stuff too. Not all locations have a place to sit as large as this one. I went through the drive thru only but saw it's a nice space. The staff at all their locations are always so awesome. Used to come to this Dutch everyday during highschool and back then would've gave it a 5 star review. I come back for the first time in years and it was terrible. Waited an hour and only a couple cars were in front of me. I told him my order and he read it back to me three times wrong so I just left it because I didn't wanna repeat myself. Then I finally get my hot drink handed to me and it was barely hot. All I have to say is the Dutch on University is 10 times better. read more

It's Dutch Bros, not much else I can say. Great coffee for a decent price. Living in SoCal, I don't get to go much, but I always bring my stamp card whenever I know I'll be passing through Arizona. This is a newer location and they were still figuring out their drive lane. They have two separate lanes, but no speaker to take orders. We went later in the night where they didn't have the handheld out and it took a little while to wait for our order and drinks to get started, but it was completely worth it. The associate helping us noticed we were from out of town and recommended some drinks for the next time we come through. Always a great visit, how do they consistently have such amazing customer service??? It warms my heart to be going to a place with such nice workers who seem to genuinely care. read more

Love DB coffee, staff, locations, etc. Just can't get OK being served by unmasked staff. Vaxed & masked but still at risk to not survive even a breakthrough case. Sbucks remains fully masked which puts me at ease, so unless policy changes, will have to get my caffeine elsewhere. Miss U! read more

I love Dutch, I have zero complaints about the coffee. So far every morning that I have come before work I show up 45 minutes before my shift and I'm late to work... every time. They must be short staffed because no one is taking orders outside and the lines are barely moving. I've been here for 30 minutes this morning and stuff haven't spoken to anyone or ordered. Best service hands down! I feel like their servoce is geared for customers and only their customers! My daughter got a bday cake frost and there were further questions asked and they found out it was her sixth birthday and right away offered their celebratory special! Excitement acknowledgment and of course her gratis! It was amazing and every time I go to any location whether it be Tucson Mesa or casa grande the experience is always exceptional. There are not many businesses that can pull that off. Oh the coffee drinks, right. The menu is overwhelming without a doubt. I suggest asking around to see what they recommend. Know your tastebuds and ur likes. Reason being is when u ask the employees what to order and their suggestions they wanna know ur likes and recommend that way. What an absolute amazing experience at this location today... first, greeted by Sarah and her personal & bubbly customer service. As a first timer at Dutch Bros I was uncertain of what to select, Sarah was awesome! Then, when I pulled up to complement Sarah and to receive my complimentary first order... to my surprise, the manager, Rob was fantastic as well! What a refreshing way to start my day. Probably would have NEVER gone into this store, but it was my bosses birthday. He is a Dutch Bro fan, so of course I had to get a gift card. There is so much going on here. Music, cars, orders, dogs, patio, inside, outside... A lot going on. The one thing that stands out in my brain is the way the place made me feel. I felt like I was important as a customer. I went in a Starbucks fan, I left feeling like I could be both and Dutch Bros would be happy for me. This is a great company. It makes people feel good. I have to go back and research the drinks more. I ordered a sugar free hot cocoa, I know it was hot, but that is always easy to order. I forget what Brad ordered, sugar and more sugar, with coffee in there too. Anyway he liked it. I read thru the drinks. One caught my eye. The Tuxedo. Basically a dark chocolate and white chocolate drink. I have had this under a different name in Taos, Starbucks served it one new year, but no I can no longer order this drink. When I ordered in Taos it was not sugar free so it was a rare treat. Now I have hope I can order it sugar free whenever I want it. We shall see. Great atmosphere and employees. Like all the other Dutch Bros. locations I've been to in Scottsdale, Tempe, Goodyear, etc., this one has super friendly employees, even when it's so hot out and they're working outside. It's often busy, but the line moves along about as quickly as it does at all locations. They've never gotten my order wrong, either! If you're not sure what to order, they can recommend something or make something special for you, too. read more

Stopped by there for a refreshment on our way from Ikea Tempe to Tucson. I've been seeing everyone's drinks on insta and had to try it out. We got there and their posted menu is small but there is more on their website!! They have every flavor you can imagine. I was unsure of trying Dutch for awhile because of other local coffee joints that aren't a chain. Yet, this location came down to convenience when I travel to work in the morning. Their double lane drive-thru is staffed with employees armed with iPads to take and pay for your order. This definitely speeds up the line when you're in a morning rush, but need your morning coffee/drink. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. I wish their nitro coffee didn't come in a can and that they offered more protein-focused breakfast options like outside of baked goods; thus, the four star rating. While I prefer a more boutique coffee spot, I will resort to Dutch over other coffee chain rivals. read more

Again went back today 09/22/2020 at approximately 8:10 pm. I sat behind a car for 10 min and watched the girl at the window talk to one of her friends. I was on my way to work and the line started to build up, which she didn't care or pay any attention. She was a skinny blonde girl wearing a light blue shirt. You guys need to spend less time talking to friends about whatever it is you are talking about and spend more time working. So there's a new Dutch Bros in Ahwatukee and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I'm usually a Starbucks customer just because it's close to home and work but here's what I think. When I compared both iced whites chocolate mocha (almond milk) I must say Dutch Bros has a better brew and surprisingly cheaper. Although there is a bit of a wait for Starbucks at times it was absolutely ridiculous I had to wait 30 minutes for my order. I would have left but the way they designed the drive thru lanes made it impossible to leave. I do want to try the other flavors but not for such long wait times. read more

Everyone that works here is really nice and they really hustle. There are 1-2 people with iPads taking orders at the drive through, but the wait is still 20 mins at normal times. I like the cold brew, almost no calories and not bitter so you can drink it without adding sugar. The lines shouldn't be held against them, and they really are like a bee hive when it's a busy time. read more

We come all the way from Chandler area since this location has the bigger drive thru lanes, and is a better layout! We are exited for the new one coming closer to us... but since this is by DV, I'm sure my teen will still have me comin this way! BTW, We were 2nd in line on opening day! I have been coming to Dutch Bros since it opened up in AZ and this location has got to be the slowest!!!! I can go to the one on Scottsdale Road before Thomas and be in and out. You would think since the line is wrapped out the parking lot the workers would move a lot faster. Taking my business elsewhere. Great coffee but something needs to be done when one cars order takes more than 15 minutes. They should have that car pull into another spot and complete everyone else's order especially when the baristas bring the others to their cars. Only 5 cars including myself and it took 35 minutes. Love this place great fresh coffee and awesome customer service. Everytime we come in they treat us like family and they always remember our order. They always make sure you have a great experience and if u don't and let them know they will always make it right. If you are on a special diet, suck as Keto, I recommend a keto cold brew with 2-3 ounces of heavy whipping cream and you can even add a sugar free sweetener as well. Since I have discovered Dutch Bros I have not been back to Starbucks and probably never will. read more
