Was visiting the area for work and there weren't many mom and pop coffee shops, but there was a Dutch Bros!! I ordered using the app. Either the people of Santa Maria don't get it or they're not a to-go coffee kind of crowd, because there was little to no line at 7:50 a.m. which was great for me. Never heard of this place so I had to Yelp it to find out why the drive thru line was like 20 deep on a daily. I discovered deliciously looking and creative drinks so since those two things are up my alley I had to try. Also anytime something g seems limited or not available in my area- it's a def must try for me. The customer service is great and the employees look like they're really enjoying their jobs. Music was blasting from inside so it was like they were having a party (or over caffeinated). I really wanted to fall in love with Dutch Bros but the coffee flavors we selected (both hot and iced) were meekly impressive. I had the iced German chocolate cake which lacked the coconut flavor and tasted more like a basic iced mocha. However, the frozen blended drink my daughter got was tasty (can't remember the name of it). Next time I go I'll skip the coffees and try the teas and other smoothie type drinks. read more

What can I say?! I've been a fan of Dutch Bros. since they have made their presence known in NorCal, and in Northern Nevada. I always make sure to get my caffeine cravings whenever I'm on a road trip to the above mentioned regions - and it never fails to keep my eyes on the road - energized, and not distracted! Being in the immediate area for a few days, and having heard that Dutch Bros. has finally created a niche in the Central Coast, I wanted to make time to trek over to Santa Maria, and check this new coffee establishment. It brings me joy that a well-loved coffee chain has made its way to this part of the Golden State! Ya'll don't know what ya'll missin' out, Central Coast! In addition to a proprietary brand of handcrafted hot coffee drinks, they also serve nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee, smoothies, frosts, freezes, teas and a private-label Blue Rebel energy drink - and assortment of well-loved pastries! Don't forget to add a Muffin Top on your order! Being a newly-established business in Santa Maria, I assume that long lines make it a hassle for most, in addition to having skimmed some of the low-rated reviews; don't let those negative comments deter you from getting your Dutch Bros. fix if you happen to be in the area. Just do it! As a follow-up, I was told by one of their baristas that they are opening one up in Arroyo Grande! How cool is that - closer to Pismo & SLO! (and it rhymes, haha). So excited that Dutch Brothers has come to Santa Maria. I grew up going there as a little girl when I lived in Fresno California. It's brand new so of course the lines are long but they run smoothly and the employees coming to your car to take your order are super fun, friendly and amazing. They can answer any of the questions you have about the drinks and things they offer. I got the Cocomo Freeze and it taste just how I remember it. It is phenomenal smooth creamy and amazing. This establishment is taking all of the Covid safety precautions and they are doing it in style. The only thing I wish could've happened to improve is to have a better location. I would have loved to have this more on the south side of town. This location is a bit out of my way so it will be difficult for me to come back as often as I would like. read more

Was out here Saturday morning, got in line about 10:30am and got the product at 11:10am. Customer service was great, they used an IPad but the card reader didn't work. My initial plan was just to get a cup of coffee but I saw the line and decided to see what the hoopla was all about, while waiting in line I was going through their website and yelp. I was hoping to see what was popular but I guess not enough comments on what was good so I decided to get the annihilator and cocomo and a orange cranberry muffin top. I can tell you the annihilator taste like a Starbucks Vanilla Latte, and cocomo had a slight taste of coconut, both pretty good. The muffin came out of the refrigerator and it was so-so. The drinks I ordered were hot, but too me they were just warm, had to go home and microwave them, also heated the muffin, it was better. I was floored (with excitement!) when I learned that Dutch Bros Coffee was making their way further south. As a previous resident of Seattle, I would often hit up Dutch Bros for a caffeine fix while exploring the Pacific Northwest by car. When I pulled up to both parking lot entrances of Dutch Bros Coffee being closed with cones, I realized that due to the demand they extended the drive-thru line to the alley off of E. Grant Street behind the 7-Eleven and La Mia Mercado. Nonetheless, the Dutch Bros staff is extremely efficient (particularly at this newly opened location) with lines of about 15 cars long. I loved the employees shirts too to help them stand out while they went car window to car window. Keep in mind that they are accepting ONLY CREDIT CARDS for payment due to their tablet devices. Dutch Bros menu is daunting with tons of options. I always recommend choosing from the Dutch Classics--which can be hot or cold. My personal favorite is the Golden Eagle with oat milk (espresso with vanilla and caramel syrups with caramel drizzle on top of whipped cream). They'll definitely give Starbucks a run for their money! Quick Shout-Out: *Fingers crossed they open a location in Goleta or Santa Barbara next after this Santa Maria and the Arroyo Grande drive-thrus.* Sidenote: I am sad to learn that their Regulars Stamp Cards will no longer be accepted after March 31st, 2021. I am guessing this is due to the spread of Covid, like most other changes elsewhere. However, if you have one with partial stamps (1-5) you receive 50% off your drink, while an almost full (6-10) stamps is valid for a FREE drink. SCORE! read more

Me and my 3 friends waited at the location in Santa Maria on 1760 N Broadway for 30 minutes. We arrived at 9:27pm (plenty of time before closing) and there was a line of cars. We decided to wait in line and by the time we got to the window it was 10:00pm the barista informed us they were closed and no longer serving customers. I usually don't complain but we waited 30 minutes if they knew they weren't gonna get to everyone they should have just informed us and we would have left, but nothing was said until we got to the window. I ordered an americano and not only was it very good, Eli gave it to me for free because it was my first time! I love that! I grew up in Santa Maria and moved away a few years ago. Santa Maria has really grown since I left, which is very exciting for the town. I have never tried Dutch brothers and was so excited to try it when I visited my family this weekend. I heard the wait would be long, but it went by fairly quick. Pretty rare to find a bad Dutch bros but this is one. Line of 6 cars and no one outside taking orders, asked for a large nitro with no ice. She explained it would not be full and showed us her fingers with about an inch gap. Every other Dutch oven ever been to asking for this it comes a bout 3/4 full, maybe a tiny more. This cup wasn't even half way full. She said that no matter the size you only get one can worth and they just changed the ice amount. So that means that bc I ordered a large and not a small I just paid extra for the cup? That's crazy. They also made my mocha wrong.
