I really love Dutch Bros, but this location is really dropping the ball!!! granted there are a few good employees that make my drink good I would say maybe 2/10 times I always order a golden eagle and they put so much caramel in it or none at all. I just don't get why they can't make the drinks the same every time it's either an inch and a half of caramel in the bottom or none at all. Staff is always friendly and the menu has options for just about everyone. Hot, iced, blended, cold brew. It's a coffee drink with Oreo crumbles, and it was definitely delicious. It was a great choice for a refreshing drink in the midst of summer. My friends generally love their coffee, both for the taste and the caffeine, which is why we always make a stop here. The cafe is only a drive-thru. Yay. The Dutch Bros , in Placerville, finally is open. It's located on a Missouri Flat Road. north of Highway 50. It's super close off the highway. The gal taking orders, in the drive thru, had a bright smile and awesome attitude. I ordered an oat milk mocha freeze with chocolate drizzle including on the inside of the cup. wall. As I rolled up to the window, I could hear the staff mention that the first blender batch was over blended, runny. Others provided the drink maker suggestions, I luv the team work and assist. As my drink was being reworked, the staff ran the drinks out to the cars behind me. So they didn't have to wait. Those cars were able to drive around my car due to the design of the drive thru. Pretty smart drive thru design concept. Most older DBs don't have this design. Even with the drink being remade, it came out pretty quick. But they forgot the chocolate drizzle. Aw shucks. I just took the drink and didn't request a remake . It was delicious with a perfect consistency. But ... yes, another but. But it was the wrong flavor. It wasn't a mocha freeze. The Dutch in Placerville is really good, I've been here maybe 10 times, the drinks always come out fast and the workers are always nice. I only have one complaint. The drive thru. There has not been one time where I haven't hit the curb or watched someone else do it. The location it's in and difficult angle makes it IMPOSSIBLE to drive safely into. There is no space to back up to straighten out and my car physically cannot do a u turn as sharp and the drive thru is. At least add more space. Before going to Dutch bros I had never hit one curb. It pains me to write an unfavorable review since I love Dutch bros and seeing as the closest Dutch bros is Folsom I was so excited to have our own in Placerville!! The three times I've come through however since opening I've assumed they are working out kinks as they are newish but waiting for coffee on average 20-30 minutes is not a recipe for success.
