I am a small business owner and love when I can find other small business owners with a similar philosophy around customer service. I found Ernest on Yelp and all that is said in the reviews is true and then some! He is a man who is an expert in his field of service, he is honest, timely, reasonably priced, provides an amazing quality of work, and has most importantly he's a man of integrity. I had something wrong with my pool vac, he came to look at it but immediately identified first that my filter system was the size of one for a spa, not a pool like mine! He explained everything to me, and was out the same week to install my new filter system! Now I don't have to clean the filter every other day because I've got what my pool needs thanks to Ernest. He also pointed out a couple other small things that will help maintenance be more efficient, which I totally appreciated and I can't wait to have him back in March to clean my tiles! When I mentioned I was probably going to have them bead blasted, he shared with me how it looks fine for awhile but that it takes off the glaze of the tile. We were abandoned by our pool builder and realized things had not been done right. We started to contact the vendors of our equipment and the aqua pure people recommended three local people to seek help from. Ernest came by right away and did a walk through of the issues...he could finish my sentences by observing what had been done and what should have been done. One of the other people just wanted to bypass our salt system and change it to chlorine and the other never even called back. We knew right away Ernest was who we wanted to deal with. He fixed several issues on our pool from cleaning & sealing our stone wall and tile to replacing a pump, salt cell and gauge on our system. He is a great communicator and honest businessman. We have a large pool and spa at a condo complex in Turlock. The tile had not been cleaned since the pool was built, (1982) so you can imagine the calcium build-up after 30 years on nelect. Ernest and his wife came to the resuce and did the most fantastic job in makeing the tile shine and glimmer like new. Ernest is very professional, first came out to review the job needed to be done, did the measuring and advised on exactly what needed to be done and covered all possibilities. We learned about Ernest through a neighber . We had previously had a pool service and all they did was come weekly and throw tablets into the pool. They never checked the water or our equipment. Ernest came out and installed our new salt cell and thouroughly explained how to use it. He even replaced the seal for us on our motor at no charge. He made 2 other trips to our home to check on the pool and make sure everything was running smoothly and our water balance was correct. He also recomended that we use Pool RX. Ernest is honest, reliable, and very knowledgeable. I have used another pool equipment repair service for the last decade and found them unreliable and problems sometimes took several tries over several visits to repair at a huge cost. The last time they were here, their recommended fix was to replace a $1K part. Ernest took a look at my equipment and fixed the problem at a fraction of the cost. I was a believer that you need to use a nationally recognized company to get a reliable and trustworthy service, but I took a chance with a local guy and he did a great job. After the big freeze, we had some pool issues like everyone else maybe not as bad but call after call to reputable pool services were met with how much they wanted to charge just to see what needed to be done! And then 4-6 weeks before we can get to you anyway!! The Dutch Guy, Ernest, was able to diagnose the pump seal issue right off and before you know it we were up and running! We contacted Dutch Pool services when we bought our house with a pool. Ernest was very helpful and honest. He went over and above with his service and advice. Because of this, when our pool had a pump issue a year later I called him again. He fixed it and also helped with free advice on how to get rid of a black algae spot. If you need any service to your pool or it's equipment this is the guy you want to call. First had him install a new booster pump. Great job! Then we needed to upgrade our 40 year old pool equipment, new pool light installed, repair to the pool drain, new electric panel, and install sand filter. Beautiful job all the way around. Our pool and spa are over 10 years old. The tile and grout were really caked with chlorine/calcium buildup. We called Dutch Guy, who came out and explained the procedure we needed and what to expect. Our pool looks amazing! Ernest did such a great job sodablasting 12 years of calcium buildup off our rocks, waterfall and tile. We tried removing it on our own with chemicals and power washing but with no results. I found Dutch Pools on yelp and so glad I did.
