The pizzas were delicious. We ordered 2 large and 1 dessert pizza. Everything was great and the owner was super friendly.

My sister and brother in law trick me to treat them out there because they were driving me to the airport. Anyway food is great here so I understand the pricing. Very tender meat. The salad is good too. Service is superb. It's a nice place!

Unfortunately, I found most of the meats to be quite bland and lacking flavor. The beef ribs, on the other hand, were the complete opposite--they were way too salty. It felt like there wasn't much middle ground. I even tried adding hot sauce, hoping it would give the meat the kick I was looking for, but it still didn't do much for me. The surprise highlight of the meal was the chicken wings. They were incredibly tender and flavorful inside and out. I also really enjoyed the grilled pineapple--it was perfectly sweet and delicious. The salad bar was decent with a good selection, but nothing particularly memorable. One thing that really stood out, though, was the staff. They were amazing--friendly, attentive, and constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Their excellent service definitely made the experience more enjoyable. Overall, the experience didn't quite live up to my expectations, especially considering all the praise the restaurant gets. While I loved the chicken wings, grilled pineapple, and outstanding service, I wish the signature meats had more balanced seasoning and flavor. Given the price, I expected the quality and taste of the food to match the cost. For a premium dining experience, the food should leave you feeling completely satisfied, and unfortunately, it fell short of that for me.

There are some Brazilian snacks sold here but the real gem is the fresh savory pastries they sell in the back. These are made daily and brought over from Cafe de Casa! I placed a special order and the price per item broke down to $1.10 per piece. I had to pay through Zelle 2 days ahead of time for the preorder and the results were phenomenal at pick up. This was meant for an office party I was organizing and everyone, including my Brazilian boss, was super impressed! I have been to Cafe de Casa in SSF many, many years ago so if you like Brazilian food, do go check it out. I have tried: Kibe, Coxinha, Enroladinho de Queijo, Disco, Rissole de Presunto & Queijo and Rissole de Carne e Milho -- these are all very similar to a croquet: meat stuffed with vegetable and fried or baked.

The salad and side bar had a lot of good options and was way better than expected. But the real star was the endless selection of meats. So many different cuts coming around and every one we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked well. One of my unexpected favorites though... the grilled Brazilian cheese with honey. OMG. That alone is worth coming back for -- sweet, salty, warm, and ridiculously good. Drinks were solid too -- had both the sangria and margaritas and enjoyed both. Finished everything off with dessert and it was the perfect ending. Great food, great service, and a fun experience overall. Definitely coming back.

Since they opened a location closer to us in Palo Alto, we finally made a reservation for dinner. Overall, it was a good experience! The salad bar was decent and even included sushi. If you're a fan of salmon sashimi, just ask your server, they'll happily bring it to your table. The meat selection was good, although I felt it wasn't as extensive as some other Brazilian steakhouses. My favorites were the Spicy Top Sirloin, Picanha, and Beef Ribs, all were incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. While we enjoyed our meal, Espetus is still my favorite among all the Brazilian steakhouses I've tried. From the variety of meats to the quality of the salad bar, it continues to be my top choice. That said, Show de Carnes is still worth a visit, especially if you're in the Palo Alto area and craving a Brazilian steakhouse experience.

It's such a great spot to enjoy good food, great vibes, and even conversations with the staff. We ordered the Avenue Cut and the San Mateo Prime Rib Cut, both with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach on the side. SO good and super filling. The last time we came, we were with a big party, but this visit was just the two of us and it was still amazing. The owner, Shaw, and his staff are always so kind, welcoming, and friendly. When we walked in, the restaurant was pretty busy with large parties, but Shaw kept reassuring us that our food was coming and continued checking in to make sure we were doing okay. That level of hospitality really stands out. I also ordered the margarita and let me tell you... the bartender does not play around with the pours. Definitely not complaining because it was delicious. I also love the horseradish sauce they serve on the side. It's the perfect complement to the prime rib and helps cut through the richness so the meal doesn't feel too heavy. This has honestly become one of our go-to spots for prime rib. It's hard for us to try other places because we love the food and atmosphere here so much.

I would say 3.5 but I'm very generously rounding up. We made a Friday night reservation a week out but honestly I'd say you can very easily walk in. There were only maybe about 6 or 7 tables seated. Service is very attentive and very friendly, no points deducted. Their bar island drinks aren't the best so minus points. They can't make an espresso martini and my friends old fashioned seemed like it was more of a mixed drink made with seltzer? It was good but def not an old fashioned. There wasn't a dedicated bartender, the host made the drinks. To be clear, the prime rib was very good. I think it was really tasty and really tender. I finished my 16oz! The sides are where they are lacking. The salad tasted a little too sweet, the popover was a little too eggy, the creamed corn wasn't creamy enough. The free bread in the beginning was very good tho lol and they kept it coming! If you're craving prime rib last minute I'd say San Mateo prime will die just to scratch the itch.

We had great service and we were able to rent out a part of the restaurant that was shaded, and had some airflow since we had so many people. Our party ordered some appetizers, we had mimosas, and then we had our brunch. I'm thinking about the bruschetta, the guava juice with a mimosas, and the salmon with the corn side! We arrived at about 1:00-1:30 and the inside main dining area was already closed to patrons as staff prepared for the evening service. The host's tone did not encourage potential customers to dine there during the transition to dinner prep. Not a great first impression that gave off a late arrival so you'll get what's leftover vibe which was exacerbated by being forgotten for what seemed to be a half hour before our waitperson came to take our order. We chose to sit in the front sidewalk patio which was cold and windy not an alternate choice we will need to make again. We ended up sitting across from two loud, self-centered, immature, foul-mouthed college grad girls bragging about studying for their masters attempting to appear cultured were distracting everyone on that patio. After we placed our order, we finished up the app and hubbs was furious they forgot about his glass of pinot which arrived without an apology for the delay preceding our plate arrivals. I had the ny strip steak on the breakfast menu which came out perfectly med-well & added cilantro rice which was good although a little sticky not fluffy. Hubbs had the salmon which looked amazing and he enjoyed the mango sauce--the dish just didn't fill him up. Good thing we ordered fresh chips, salsa& guac.--which was very well prepared; the freshest guac I've ever had. It had fresh chopped tomatoes & green chiles all perfectly combined. Our wait person/food server made up for the less than stellar first impression of the host. And the food was flavorful. The ambiance was ruined by the diners across from us and the forgetfulness of taking our orders timely and serving the wine after the appetizer couldn't bring us back from what started out as negative experience. There are many restaurants up & down the bay that we aren't bothered. This wasn't the best reception nor dining experience and we are moving on. We hope it's a lesson and possibly could've just been a bad day for the crew, and unfortunately there is so much competition out there. We highly recommend the food for its freshness and flavor; recommend the salmon dish for its flavor and balance but not for its portion size. And wish this place nothing but the best and to improve where they dropped the ball.
