Got Cheese?. Well kinda. I took their burger back to show them what half of a piece of cheese their double deluxe burger had. Really? The young guy 1:13pm insisted there was cheese. Um what lying arse. Let the pictures be the judge.

Came here for some pizza. The pizza was good. I ordered a cheese and bbq chicken pizza. The service is friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would return.

Fun family pizza place that has been around for a while. They have some old video games like Pac-Man and street fighter that remind me of the 80s and 90s. Good pizza with some local beer on tap. Great place for a pizza night and it's not expensive at all. Easy service you order and they call the number when it's ready.

This place has been here forever! Love this place! Service is always good! After eating your pizza, make sure to stroll around broadway avenue

10, I give it a 10! If you don't know, now ya know! Best pie hands down. No flop, crisp undercarriage carriage, HIGH quality cheese and ingredients.

I used to come here with my mom a lot growing up. I remember that the guys behind the bar were always friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My favorite part was the endless salad bar and the arcade in the back of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Given that Burlingame is a very family friendly community this place gets a ton of business.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When it's a super nice day out and your kid has just finished playing soccer, best believe the post game lunch was probably at Village Host. Covid changed so much about the restaurant industry and Village Host is no different. I was a little disappointed on my last visit post covid when I saw that they got rid of the salad bar option and you can only get a packaged house salad. I understand the reasoning behind it, given that the pandemic changed the way we engage with food but as I mentioned, my favorite part about coming here as a kid was that the salad bar was endless. If you prefer a crispy, crumbly crust then their pizza is just right for you. I prefer a more doughy crust and my thickness just depends on my mood. They don't skimp you on the toppings either which is nice. We got a medium half pepperoni and half pepperoni, black olives, and onions. And if you're not in the mood for a pizza they have other options like sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers.

Village Host is a local pizzeria and dive bar serving a simple menu of pizzas, sandwiches, and sides. The Combination pizza came with tomato sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and olives, all on a soft, doughy, crispy crust dusted with cornmeal. The Village Host Special sandwich came with salami, pastrami, and ham, along with melted Swiss and cheddar cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard on a soft, crusty French roll, served with a bag of Lay's chips on the side. While decent, both of the items we ordered were lacking in flavor and required quite a bit of dressing up with condiments. While the quality of ingredients and service could have been better, the food here made for a cheap (albeit flavorless) meal.

We've found ourselves a little hidden gem in Burlingame. Per Father's Day request we were given the task to find a pizza spot. I wanted to try somewhere new and came across this place. Right off of the freeway on Broadway Ave sits this hidden gem. It's right at the corner but it is a bit quiet that you could miss it. Their menu is pretty small and to the point. They offer sandwiches, pizzas and a few specials! They have a bar and from the looks of it, they used to offer a salad bar as well. I assume due to Covid they put a hold on that as it currently is a holding place for pizza boxes. We ordered a small ham & pineapple pizza for the kids and a small pesto chicken pizza for myself and the hubby. I'm a crust person and the crust was delicious. It has a good crunch when you take a bite into it but still just enough doughy-ness between the crust n toppings. Both pizzas were good but I'd have to say the pesto chicken was better of the 2. Small pizza came with 8 slices and was enough to feed the family and still has some for the girls to finish off for dinner. It's a large restaurant. You could definitely hold a party in there. Reminds me of the old round tables that had arcades in the back of the restaurant but those are currently unplugged. Definitely will be coming back!

We love coming here. We make the 30 minute drive when the cravings for good pizza crust kick in. Pizza is always well done & loaded with toppings. Sizes are perfect and so is the pricing. I really like the combo from here because they dice the bell peppers. It's a small thing but it's the thing that makes me come back. Staff is always so nice and attentive. Another visit and job well done!

This is my go to place for pizza and has been for over a decade. Their subs are also very tasty but I usually crave their pizza. I went there recently for a sandwich and used a gift card to pay for my order. Imagine my shock when I saw a charge labeled "convenience fee." Gift cards don't have a processing fee and are treated like cash in card form so they shouldn't charge a "convenience fee" aka credit card processing fee. But the reason I'm giving a three stars is I was not told there would be a surcharge. This was a sneak charge and that's very underhanded. They may have lost a long time customer as I'll think twice about coming here for a long while...

Pizza Sandwich had a moldy aftertaste and tasted just like a lunchable pizza. Ingredients taste cheap, not a fan!

So if you have a gluten and dairy allergy, this location does a great job preparing the dough separately. We haven't had an allergic reaction here yet and we're thankful for the staff and their attention to detail. Aside from allergies, their Bread Stix are so good. Made with Bread, parmesan, garlic, oil and herbs. They resemble garlic bread but better in my opinion. Dip that in their pesto ranch, and it's a combo that can compete with anybody. Not to mention their pizza and wings are good too. The dough is soft but still holds strong. Although the sliced pizza might be sitting out for a while they reheat it in the oven before serving. The whole pizzas are made fresh. The pesto ranch alone is enough for for me to keep coming back. But the service, quality and the fact that everyone in my family can enjoy something here make this place a winner in my book. 10/10 would recommend coming here.

We went on a slow night and still dealt with a total "slow turnaround" and some classic operational gaffes. They couldn't find the bottle of wine we actually wanted and then spent way too much time trying to sell us on a different bottle we had zero interest in. It was a bit of a circus just to get the basics situated. But then the food arrived, and that's where the magic happened. I've seen reviews complaining about a "lack of flavor," but that was not our experience at all. We started with the beet salad--the honey-lemon notes were nice, though nothing to write home about. But once the mains hit, everything changed. The Carpaccio was spot on, the Ribeye (prepared perfectly to medium) was delicious, and the Branzino special was fantastic. And the Rigatoni Rustica? Believe the hype. It's a classic for a reason. Bottom line: The service is definitely sloppy, but I wouldn't dismiss this place because of it. The food is genuinely good Italian and the prices are reasonable for Burlingame. My advice? Skip the salads, ignore the service "monkey dance," and go straight for the classics. I'd definitely go back just for the steak and the Rigatoni alone. Highly recommended if you actually care about what's on your plate. An A++ local find.

What we ordered: Prosciutto Di Parma Arugula Pizza (+ burrata) = 100000/10 FOOD: 9/10 Served hot, fresh, and made to order, this pizza truly hit the spot. The crust had those delicious wood-fired charred bits and was the perfect thickness, not too thin, not too thick. The burrata (worth the extra charge!) was rich and creamy, while the arugula added the perfect fresh, crunchy bite. Every ingredient worked so well together. I'm literally salivating as I type this! Paired with some good wine? Chef's kiss! SERVICE: 9/10 Every staff member we interacted with struck the perfect balance of being friendly and laid-back. We also shared the Double Pepperoni and Carne pizzas, which were a great size for the table and perfect for sharing. The food hit the spot, and all of my lunch cravings were definitely satisfied. The only downside was the seating and service. We were placed in a corner at an oddly shaped table that made it a little uncomfortable for everyone to sit. Our waitress was friendly, but the service felt a bit over-attentive. I appreciate staff checking in, but I would have preferred a more relaxed approach...five check-ins would have been plenty instead of ten. Giving guests a little more space to enjoy their meal would make the experience feel even more comfortable. This was my first visit, and despite that minor issue, I really enjoyed the food and had a good experience overall. I'll definitely be back.
