I have tried Mountain Mike's in the past but it had been a while since I tried it. I was personally disappointed by the flavor of the pizza, including the crust and the toppings. I didn't find it had much flavor although there were a lot of toppings. The bread didn't have much flavor and it's usually one of my favorite parts to enjoy! This was done by great staff members but yah, I wish there was a bit more flavor in the sauce and the toppings, because it didn't seem to pop or seem exciting. read more

The food was really good! You can never go wrong with Mountain Mike's. I especially love their honey garlic wings, and the pineapple pizza. Our server Deep, was very sweet and checked in on us and offered us drinks. Mountain Mike's really needs more hype, it's definitely one of the lost underrated pizza place, and I hope in the future more people get to try their good food. This is the first time I've ordered from Mountain Mike's in San Mateo. The order taker Sandeep (owner?) was extremely courteous and professional. He suggested the order would be delivered within 45 minutes to an hour, and I said nope I need less than an hour. My order came 35-40 minutes. Sausage mushroom and artichoke hearts (special order) Perfect. Not sure if they use containers that keep the Pizza hot because it was kind of lukewarm, but the taste was very good. And on point regardingprice. My delivery person was friendly and also professional. Try mountain Mike's in San Mateo. I don't think they'll disappoint. read more

worst experience. the manager was rude and had me sitting in the front staring for more then 10 minutes! I ordered on the phone prior and she said she didn't have my order and walked away. nobody was in the front helping the customers. she doesn't speak English either so it wasn't very helpful. I generally like their pepperoni pizza even though the pepperoni is very salty. The wings are inconsistent. The first time I got them they were small but decently juicy. The second time they were small and very dry. I'd get my wings from Fire Wings instead. Every time I come in to pick up my order there are flies hovering near the front entrance. Mountain Mikes is definitely one of my favorite chain pizzas in the Bay Area. I mean affordable lunch buffet, football pizzas, what's more could I ask for. Whenever I come here, it's for one thing and one thing only. The chicken bacon ranch pizza! A white sauce pizza with chicken and bacon, tomatoes, and onions. It's just a well put together pizza with a great taste profile. The cheese and pepperoni pizzas are just alright. The Mount Everest is their most popular pizza but if it's got olives on it, there's no way I can enjoy it. What keeps me coming back is the CBR pizza. If you are looking for a great deal on pizza on a Tuesday, they've got 40% off all large and specialty pizzas, which is a crazy good deal. I got 4 large pizzas to serve a big group, and it came out to under $75. Parking on this stretch of b street is closed but you can find spots on the side streets and a parking garage which is just short 3 minute walk away. read more

Mountain Mike's is pushing customers toward their app, but it's a scam. DO NOT ORDER ON THE APP. Their in store offers are far better (for example, today was 40% off a large pizza, and they are sending mail coupons for 50% off M-Th). I placed an order in their app and realized on pickup that I had vastly overpaid. In store they refused to honor their own deals because I had already checked out in the app. And the food wasn't even right - we ordered a side salad with dressing, because that's what the app had, but in store it didn't come with dressing, and was tasteless. We threw it out. This franchise is just fundamentally dishonest - I didn't order via a third party platform, but used their own app. Won't be returning. Plenty of pizza places and the food is pretty average. The whole experience left a bad taste (pun intended). Tiny portions too. read more

What a good hot day to crave for delicious pizza! We decided to drive over here from San Francisco to Mountain Mike's in San Mateo! :) We love their pizza! We were lucky to get parking around the corner and when we got there..there's this guy cleaning the windows! The other guy which later found out his name was Garden..took our order and was very generous to give us our first time coming @ 20% off our bill! :)) As I look around..the place is very clean wasn't yet busy coz we were the only customers there! We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 salad bars! One pizza was a medium pepperoni pizza and one Snowy Alps which was an everything pizza with white sauce instead of red! Our soda was on the house! The salad bar was very inviting and it was pretty good! Everything in the salad bar was fresh and the lettuce was crispy! Love that they had potatoe salad..macaroni salad and jello! I appreciate that there were packets of different dressings and it wasn't open in a container! I chose the Caesar dressing for my salad and my hubby chose the thousand island dressing! It didn't take too long when our hot delicious pizzas arrived who by the way Sunny brought over to our table! He was very kind to ask us if we needed anything else like ranch dressing for our pizza! Of course.. We would love that! He gave us 2 packets! Garden cane over to chat with us a bit and he was nice and letting us know that they're planning to open a Mountain Mike's in the Daly City area! We are excited to hear of the news!! :)) Overall...the pizzas and the salads we ate today were amazing! The staff and whoever cooked the pizza is perfection! Needed a late night large party order and we called 30mins before closing, Deepak was extremely helpful in recommending the size of pizzas to order for our party and he was very patient with our questions and indecisiveness although again they were getting ready to close. I've been a big fan of The Butcher's Son food for a while, and I love their mozzarella sticks, even though I usually don't like vegan cheese. I went with a medium 1/2 and 1/2 pizza: Vegan Meatzza and Vegan Buffalo Chicken. I also tried the Vegan Cannoli. The pizza was hot and ready when I arrived, and they sealed it with a 100% vegan sticker, which I thought was a nice touch. I really enjoyed both flavors! It's tough to pick a favorite between the two, but the pepperoni on the meatzza was delicious, and the buffalo and ranch combo on the buffalo chicken was tasty. Surprisingly, my favorite was the cannoli. Even though I usually prefer savory over sweet, the cannoli was amazing. I loved every bite, though I think adding chocolate chips to the filling would have made it even better. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience! I can't wait to try other vegan pizza combos.

The Tiramisu and Panna Cotta came in at the 5/10 and neither lived up to their name and would be better enjoyed if you were not predisposed to expecting a specific dessert. The Chocolate Trifle was a complete miss. I can see what the aim was but the foam did not work. With that all being said, the seating was aesthetic and the cocktails and wine that were offered were quite good- kudos to the bartender

The booths look dated but they are still comfy! I feel like this location has been an anchor/icon in the San Mateo 3rd Ave commercial corridor and I would hate to see this place go.
