Duval Ford has horrible customer service. Since having an F-150, which I love, it has been a nightmare getting it serviced. It has been one blundering callous mistake after the other. 1/25/20 I had an appointment for an oil change and repair my front left tire. I made an appointment, told the Young lady I needed a ride back to work. The service guy questioned rather I had an appointment then went on to tell me no one could take me to work for almost an hour. What's so bad is this happens all the time. They just don't care!! Update on this lemon of a "car" I purchased from this dealership. Not only did I have transmission malfunction and powertrain fault issues before I even reached 40,000 miles. I'm having issues with electronic steering column motor now and had to get it replaced for almost $1000 hopefully not more. I'm not even at 60,000 miles and this part should last the life of the vehicle. My car still shakes even though this was "supposedly" from pressure washing they did. The charging port stopped working months after I purchased the car. I'm NEVER EVER PURCHASING ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM FORD. They were dishonest about issues with the car to make the sale, it has issues with things that should last life of the vehicle or well before it should be replaced, and they even damaged my vehicle which I paid to replace elsewhere because their mechanics don't know about tlheir own products lol. Who knows what will happen next with the hunk of junk clunker vehicle called "Ford" that constantly has recalls... Negative 5 star rating each on service, quality of work, and quality of vehicle. By far the worst over any other dealership I've purchased a vehicle from. I'm getting another vehicle elsewhere and donating this money pit to a demolition derby or junkyard where it belongs. Buying a car here was a pleasant enough experience. My salesperson was willing to work with me via email, which surprisingly a lot of Ford dealers gave me the runaround and refused to talk numbers without me walking in the door. EXTREME hard sell on warranties/packages to tack on after the sale. I *hate* being stuck in that office with presentation after presentation on interior/leather warranties, tire warranties, exterior paint warranties, oil change packages. You name it they have a package and they want to sell it to you. I *stupidly* gave in and bought the oil change package just to get outta there. So I finally went in to get my oil changed under the package I bought. You get a little booklet reminding you of your mileage when you go in .. which is every 7500 miles. Ya know.. the new standard for oil changes with synthetic oil. Ford agrees. They even have this handy new technology that indicates oil life. 7500 is probably overkill. The manual says to wait until your car tells you to go in, or every year. Since I already paid for it though, in at 7500 I go. I pull up and it's chaos. Cars driving down the wrong lanes to get out because the exit is blocked. Random people wearing Ford shirts waving frantically at me trying to get me to back out (instead of walking up to me and explaining they need me to move, he gives me random angry gestures). I figure that part and pull up. .that guy walks away without a hello. Then I stand there awkwardly not sure if I'm in the right place or if I should go inside one of the unmarked doors. And wait. And wait. All while being passed by Ford employees who don't acknowledge my presence. C'mon guys. I know it's Florida, I know it's hot out but can you at least look me in the eye and tell me someone will be out in a minute? The guy finally shows up, takes my key and starts writing down info.. and then immediately starts lecturing me on how I should really come in every 5,000 miles. I just laughed. Dude, welcome to 2016. Does Ford know you are contradicting their recommendations and trying to charge people for unnecessary services? After all that, no open wifi in the waiting area and no indication of a password to use the secured network. Sigh. They finished fairly quickly and annoyingly enough left me a sticker on the window reminding me to come back in 5,000 miles. Yeah, right. read more

ZERO stars if I could!!! I came in for a noise under the driver side tire area. After inspecting the car, their mechanic determined it was a feathering issue in all of the tires. (The tires aren't even a year old.) I told him the noise is ONLY heard under the driver side. I asked him to check the wheel bearings (as advised by my tire guy). He said they put the car on a rack and all the bearings were fine and he kept insisting it was a tire issue. I had already brought it to my tire shop and they said it was not a tire issue. I explained to everyone that the noise just started one day (I know the exact date!). It was not a noise that built up over time. As a matter of fact, I thought I had a flat tire so I pulled over around the corner from my house to check it out. My service advisor Steve Delusa asked me to take his mechanic for a ride so he can hear the noise. Really? Didn't he take the car for a ride?? So I took their mechanic for a ride so he could hear the noise. When I pointed out the noise, he just kept saying it was a tire issue over & over again. So I called my my tire guy Tony while we were in the car and had him speak to the mechanic at Duval. Tony suggested that it might be a wheel bearing & the mechanic told him they put it on a rack & already checked that. Then Tony suggested to him that they cross rotate the tires & see if the noise moves with the tire. Now why couldn't the mechanic think of that on his own? He was so quick to keep telling me that he has been doing this for over 25 years! Tony suggested that if the noise moves then it is probably a tire issue. If not, then it is another issue. The mechanic started arguing with Tony said he wasn't going to argue with him, that it was a simple solution to rule out a tire issue or not. I then disconnected the call because the mechanic was getting rude with Tony and I was getting uncomfortable while I was driving this guy around. We went back to the dealership and I then relayed what transpired to my service advisor Steve Delusa. The mechanic then chimed in that my tire guy Tony was wrong and it was a tire issue and then they were both arguing with me in front of everyone. They both ganged up on me & humiliated me right there in the showroom! I asked Steve if he was willing to let me leave there that day in an unsafe vehicle & he said "the car is NOT unsafe". I asked him if they would cross rotate the tires as Tony suggested so we could rule out whether the issue was tire related or not and he REFUSED! They said they wouldn't do anything further and they sent me on my way. They weren't even willing to do the most minimal of service to satisfy this customer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't trust that mechanic with my life! I will never bring my car to this shop again! Now today I am left to find someone else to help me figure out what's wrong with my car. read more

The service manager told me it would be ok as it would only freeze the cables during winter and as I live in Florida not to worry it wound be ok. Probably helped that I knew exactly what I was there to test drive and had all my ducks in a row but amazingly there was none of that "let me check with my manager" and the 50 trips back and forth. I was traveling alone with my 2 kids in the Florida area and on a cruise for about 3 weeks. After being sick for the entire cruise and being let down at the resort we were at prior, we were finally on our way home when our 2015 Expedition broke down. We contacted Duval and spoke to Logan. Explained the situation and from the start he was sympathetic and understanding. Said to have the car towed in by roadside assistance and they would look at it right away. Well by the time roadside got to us and got the car there, it was around 5:00. Being that the techs didn't have much time, our service advisor, Sean, arranged for a rental and told us where a good hotel would be. The next day, Sean contacted us and had our car ready by lunch time. He worked it all out with the warranty company (which can be a headache). He and the tech also did some other maintenance to the computer system in the car free of charge because they knew we were driving to PA and wanted to make sure we were ok. From covering and making all the arrangements for a rental car and having us on the road again so quickly, this organization definitely displayed "Best in the industry" service and should be a bench mark for other dealers to learn from. I really can't express the appreciation and gratitude I have for this organization and Sean. They saw us at our absolute worst and really did their best to have us on the road again. As a former sales manager in multiple dealerships, I can say with zero reservation, this was the absolute best experience I've ever had dealing with auto repairs! Made an appointment for my first oil change. Nearly 1.5 hours later my vehicle had not been taken back yet. Went back to the service dept and spoke with my representative and he was able to get someone to start the oil change. I am still sitting here and we are going on 2.5 hours for a simply oil change. Also I was just told that they ran out of time to give me the free car wash I was promised. I see several salesmen standing around up front but was told only 2 service men are working. This demonstrates the priorities here. Get the sale...thats all that matters. And while I am at it the purchase of the vehicle wasn't exactly pleasant either. After making the deal, we were going out to grab lunch while they got the paperwork ready. After taking our time at lunch we still had to wait well over an hour after we returned before anyone was ready to help us. Do not recommend this dealership for sales or service. ***Update: Was contacted by the Service Manager about my experience. Service manager offered me his sincerest apologies for the service I received and promised to make it right. This is very admirable and I respect this approach by any business. I will further update this post after my next visit. ***Update: Duval Ford has gone out of there way to make my experience great the last two times I have been here. The Service manager followed through with his promise to make things right. I have received excellent service and really enjoy the new facility. The new facility is top notch and makes things much easier for the service team to handle service needs in a timely manner. I will definitely continue to make the drive down to Jacksonville to do business with Duval. Thanks for your outstanding service. I know my first experience must have been a fluke. ***Update: I have been here multiple times since my first review and have been extremely satisfied with the service I have received. My Husband and I have been looking for the right car for our family, been to several different car lots without any success, we didn't find anything we liked or we would feel like we was being pushed into something. Jay was awesome in helping me in having my car looked at. The mechanic that rode with me was very polite and I felt very comfortable talking with him. Unfortunately, I do not remember the mechanics name. The only thing I was some what disappointed in was when I parked my car I was standing there waiting and people were just looking at me. I had no idea where to go this was my first time. there is no signs that say park here, go see so so in this office. I was very lost and uncomfortable. Is there a negative star review? By far the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I purchased a brand new truck from this dealership In 2018. The entire process went pretty good. Now fast forward a year and I am finally wanting to do some add ons to my vehicle. I contact the accessory department at the dealership. They tell me what they can do for me and we agree on a price. I bring the vehicle in and leave it there the for 1.5 days. The supervisor of accessories tells me it will be done between 10-11am. I show up about 10:50 to get my vehicle. Guess what? The vehicle is not done and no one bothered to call me and let me know. So here I am for over three hours taking off work and driving an hour up to the dealership for no reason. The supervisor tells me they cannot get the accessories to fully work on my vehicle. He goes back and forth out to the vehicle a couple of times. I tell him that I am not paying full price for something that does not work. We are talking 2500.00 of extras put on this vehicle. He said the best he could do was 10% if that. I went and talked to his boss. His boss agree that I should not have to pay for the entire thing, so he had him cut the price by 400.00. Well when I brought my truck in, I also told them I had a recall and my horn was not working. They said they would fix it while I had it in. After the fiasco with the accessories, I was assured by the supervisor that they had fixed the recall and had my horn on order. That since I had an extended warranty that everything would be taken care of. Well he said, they did not have a horn in stock and they would call me once my horn came in. I tried calling him numerous times and got no response. I tried calling his supervisor and no answer. The receptionist said she would email his boss and have her call me about my issues. Still have not heard back from her. I took my truck into Bozard Ford and they fixed the recall and the horn. Duval Ford and their accessories manager are the absolute worst. I spent a lot of money at this place 50k and an addition 2100.00 for them to treat a customer like this. I will never go back to this place. Their customer service is beyond pathetic. They lied to me about fixing a recall, ordering a new horn for my 2018 truck, and trying to sell me something that does not work at full price. The supervisors above him are even worse as I cannot reach anyone or ever get a call back. Worst customer service ever. read more

This place is unbelievable. I've worked with Sherrod Anderson for several months to find the right truck. We finally found the one that was perfect and worked throughout the day to make the deal fit for both of us. Sherrod's manager, Matt Tudor became involved in negotiations and after a little give on both sides, we agreed to the deal! I was very excited to pick up my new truck. I had several business appointments and told him I would stop by between them, which I did, and be there after my last one to sign the paperwork. So then I get a text message while in my last appointment telling me that they sold the truck!! They gave me a story saying that the owners trumped them and sold it out from under me-my response was that makes it worse that the owners would do that to a customer! The last I heard from Matt was, "Don't worry, we're going to make this right." That was over a month ago and I haven't heard a peep. -Jim read more

I took my car in for the Works service. They did nothing extraordinary and the customer service was no frills. The experience was okay. I'd go there again only because the shuttle service is convenient but wouldn't call myself a new loyal customer. They tried getting me to get a lot more service done to my car and the quotes were high. They offered to beat the price if i could bring in a written estimate from other shops. Honestly, if they are going to waste my time and not offer me the best deal, I'm not interested. Overall not bad but definitely not five star. read more

I purchased a 2009 Mustang in Tallahassee but have had it serviced once at 5,000 miles at Duval Ford on Cassat Ave.for $39 and then again at 10,000 miles at the same dealership this time for $179 for the exact same service. I then received a notice in the mail from All American Ford in Tallahassee notifying me that my 10,000 mile check up was due and this service would cost $39. Turns out, there were two nails in the same tire. They also sent me home on an empty tank. And, my husband and I had to go back twice for paperwork errors. All that aside, we like the vehicle. I needed an oil change and I was reminded that my first oil change on my new car at Duval Ford was free so I made an appointment and I was amazed at he customer service. I arrived for my appointment early and my car was taken back for the oil change immediately. From start to finish my oil including tire rotation and tire pressure check took about 35 minutes. I was very satisfied with the customer service and the experience. I love my 2014 Ford Fiesta and I plan to utilize the men and women at Duval Ford to keep her purring like a kitten. Only point of criticism: they didn't reply to an online inquiry of mine which I sent through their website. I had to call to get an answer. Today I took my '06 Mountaineer in for diagnostics, 60 minutes later John in the service department lade out the plan of attack (after a complete inspection) but a machine needed to service my truck wasn't working so I chose to leave without any work done. Total time there came close to two hours. Not ideal but John made all the difference. You can't train someone to have his level of customer service. Duval Ford, you have an asset in that employee. FYI to myself and future customers, it's worth the effort to make arrangements to drop your car off and come back. read more

After waiting over a hour and a half they tell me I have a bad tire and need to buy a tire. This would have been nice to know in advance. This is the kind of place where you will call to make an appt for service verify everything you need done is still covered by your warranty they assure you that you need when you buy the car. You get your car in the 3 years you've had this brand new car the tires wear out at 20k miles even though you rotate them. They say the treadwear warranty doesn't cover it. You have a factory defect in your transmission which they have a recall on they still try to charge you for it. Your 3 year old car with 40k miles on it dies because of a bad battery and alternator. You call and and make an appt and they tell you all you have to do is drop it off. You get there and the d bag who is assigned as your service rep tells you before they can see if it's covered by warranty you have to pay 90$ then if it's not your stuck paying another 150$ for the same pos battery that crapped out then you can go until it dies because it's the alternator that you've already had tested and has been proven to not be working right. So you're going to have to come back in pay another 90$ plus the new alternator which also isn't covered under that warranty they insisted covered everything when they sold you the car plus service and you just have to hope that's all that's wrong with it. read more
