I really do not want to give Duval Ford Service one star. This review concerns the Service Department. I took my 2000 F 150 for service to Duval Ford on July 6, 2016. I asked to have three issues looked at: 1. Needed Air Conditioning system to be checked. 2. Needed all four disc brake serviced. 3. Needed my turns signals fixed. Service Rep calls me and says my battery probably needs to be replaced, took the bait and had that done also. Brought my truck in for service early AM on Thursday, July 6, 2016. Got an update that my truck would be ready by morning of Friday, July 7.2016. I said that would be fine and I would pick it up in the afternoon. The Bad I pick up my truck Friday afternoon and this is where my fun meter gets pegged to a 150%. 1st Issue- Air Conditioning My A/C was working fine when I brought it in. The air was cool but not cold. The compressor was working fine but I knew there was a leak. After picking my truck up and driving for about five minutes and nothing but hot air blows out and I could not hear the compressor running. Okay now I have to bring it back to Service Department to fix the A/C that was not broken to begin with. 2nd Issue- Brakes I have a coupon to get new brakes and rotors refinished for $179.98 per axle. So $359.96 for all four brakes to be fixed. As I am driving my truck in the same time as 1st Issue I step on the brakes for a stoplight and the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor and my truck is not stopping! My truck finally stopped when I got pretty close to the light. 3rd Issue - Battery As I am turning into Duval Ford My truck dies right on Cassat Avenue. Good thing the traffic was not bad. I was able to put my truck in Park and re-start the engine. The Ugly After getting the truck back to the Service Department, I pulled into the Service Bay and demanded to speak to the Service Manager. I just spent over $700.00 to get my truck fixed and have one issue fixed which was my turn signals. A/C Repair: I spent $170.00 for an A/C check that that actually broke my A/C when it was working at the time I brought my truck in for service. Brakes Repair: I could have gotten seriously hurt or killed because my brakes where not fixed correctly. It was apparent the mechanic that worked on my brakes did not properly test them after completing the task. I drove the truck the following week and my brakes were shuddering when stopping. I had to ask the Service Rep to get a mechanic to drive my truck and experience what was happening with the brakes. Now I have to bring my truck in for a third time to get my brakes fixed. I bring my truck in on Friday, July 22, 2016 to get my brakes fixed for good. Battery Replacement: When my truck dies in the middle of the intersection the first thing I think of is my battery died. Why because my old battery was working fine and the new one is not. This also happened within my five minute drive from above. I call the Service Rep on Saturday morning and tell him that I want my old battery back because I think there might be something wrong with this new battery. The Service Rep tells me they have already disposed of the battery and I cannot get it back. In Conclusion IF I was I treated this way at the Service Department would you want to ever buy a vehicle from Duval Ford. read more

Admittedly, I did not have an appointment, and would not have minded waiting, yet my car was still ready quite quicky. Everything was going great, until they had money. Found the right truck for the right price. One feature I was looking for was a trailer brake controller for when I had to pull my trailer which can weigh 3.5 tons when fully loaded. Was told the trailer brake controller would be included with the purchase of the truck. Service scheduled an appointment to put the part in. Went to appointment just to find out that they did not have the part. They quoted me the price which I thought was odd. I got a call the next week the part was in. Went for my second appointment. They had the trailer brake controller in about an hour and a half which was pleasantly surprising. (usually about a 4 hour wait for an oil change). Then it went downhill pretty quickly. They wanted me to pay for the part and labor when it was supposed to be included with the purchase of the truck. Somehow the paper showing they would include the part never made it into my envelope with the rest of the papers. Of course they don't have it in their records. I was less then happy with the bait and switch. read more

I worked a deal on line to secure a car and drove 40 miles from Kingsland, GA to purchase the car and when I got there, they were trying to sell me the wrong car! As if I wouldn't notice that there was not a sunroof, spoiler or that there was 7k less miles! They knew the day before because I got an automatic email saying the car had been sold. I thought that it was weird I would get a notice if the car was sold to me. The salesman texted me to make sure I was still coming and that the car was ready for me to drive. I was furious when I realized that it was not the same car, but they had sold my car to someone else! Don't ever trust a used car salesman! read more

September (2nd) I purchased a vehicle from this store. It was a few minor issue that I was promised to be taken care of after I have purchased the vehicle. I made an appointment with my salesman and dropped the vehicle off on September 29th, 2017. Still to this day (10/12/2017) not only do I not have my car USAA has notified me that they have not received any paperwork on the vehicle that I bought only for the trade-in. Since my vehicle has been in the care of your store, I have had to reach out and ask for the status of the vehicle because on multiple occasion I have been left in the dark. Although i 'am thankful for the loaner vehicle, i received the vehicle dirty, since I've had it the tire pressure light has came on three and the touchscreen has gone completely black and the navigation has stopped working twice. My experience started off great and now has turned into a car buying nightmare. I have never experience this type of service and I don't wish it on anyone. read more

The service department is a joke. As is Ford Motor Company. 2012 Focus Titanium. 10,000 mile service...Master cylinder need replaced. 20,000 mile service....main seals are leaking. Ok it's under warranty, give me a rental and repair the car. Nope, can't give you a rental...it's not a safety issue. You're are going to keep the car for 1 1/2 days to make the repairs, and we don't get a rental.....hmmmmmm!!! I asked to speak to the service manager. I was told he was out and would call me back. Later the service department called back, and I was told they would supply a rental. I purchase a new F 150 FX4 from them back in 2009. Between the radio and the cheap tires, I spent alot of time in the service department. At 50,000 miles, a bulkhead connector in the transmission broke...fluid all over my driveway. Then the straw that broke the camels back.....60,000 mile service....I'm told I should purchase an extended warranty, because my AC compressor is leaking. I'm a certified AC tech....the compressor wasn't leaking. They were trying to scare me into purchasing an extended warranty. I drove down the road to a Toyota dealer and traded it in on a new truck. Now service just called to say, they have to order parts for a leaking transmission on the 2012 Focus. I never had these problems with all the chevys I've owned over the years. But Chevy is now owned by "goverment motors corporation" (GMC). I guess my wifes new car, we will be buying next week, won't be American made....Dam Shame. read more

My experience at Duval Ford was the best ever at a dearlership of any kind. My transmission acted up while out of town. The technician took me for a 20 minute ride to try to duplicate the problem, discuss the issue and options. I was expecting a charge of $1,000 or more given it was the transmission, but he fixed the problem with reprogramming for around $100. He also caught another subtle problem that cost me noting because it was under warranty, but would have cost me a lot when my warrenty runs out next month. Everyone I dealt with was super friendly and responsive. The free car wash and shuttle ride completed a great experience I would highly recommend. read more

Price not promised, work not accomplished: I've bought a number of cars from Duval Ford and I'll purchase cars here in the future but DO NOT GO TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HERE!!! My roommate just took his 2016 Fusion into them for the $29 "The Works" oil change that actually cost $47. He was never informed that his car would need an extra quart or that they tacked on over $10 in fees and taxes. My car had also gone in for the full synthetic oil change as I've always gotten. In the past 18 months, the price has increased (end price) from $76 to today's $83. Not too bad but I can do it at home much cheaper. I was only going there due to subdivision rules but not anymore, I'll use the inside of my garage. I was told I needed a new air filter $29 and cabin air filter $19 as well as a throttle body cleaning and fuel injector cleaning $199. I picked up a new air filter for both on the way home ($18 total for both) and did it myself. What made me angry was opening the hood and seeing the consistent coat of dust/dirt on the entire engine compartment to include my air filter box!! They had never checked it and it was obvious the box had never been opened. I checked my cabin filter (it's nice to be a mechanic) and found the same thing. I pulled off my air filter tubes and looked at the throttle body which needed normal cleaning but nothing that would cost a lot. I can't help but wonder what else they skipped when checking my car for issues. I saved $250 by refusing their service. I'm guessing that Duval needs the money to pay for the nice new building but they won't be getting our business at their repair shop anymore. read more

Great Customer Service, this time. Last couple of times I was seen by Natalie and she was horrible. She didn't take care of anything I asked for except for the oil change. It took me three months to get the other items taken care of or even followed up on and it wasn't by her. Didn't have to work with her this time so I was a Lil skeptical that things would go the same way "continued bad service" but I was taken care of great. At approximately 1:30 pm Thursday I rolled up on the service department, not seeing any other cars in the service receipt area I felt I should be able to get an oil change within a reasonable amount of time with not much of a waiting time. They quickly took me in, first oil change free and it was recommended that I obtain a tire rotation at (4200) miles. I felt it was a bit early but wanted to see what kind of service Duval would deliver. After 2 hours my truck was ready and washed. Wait did you catch the 2 hour wait for an oil change/tire rotation? Not sure if that is the norm since it was my first visit to Duval for service. Friendly staff, courteous, and professional to say the least. Upon returning home I noticed that my radio antenna had been removed from the truck. I quickly called the service department to ask as to why the antenna was removed and where it was now? After searching in my front seat passenger area I found the antenna between the console and front seat. I informed Duval that I found it and reinstalled it myself asking if I needed to tighten it down to any specific torque, I was told to ensure it was snug. My mind then wondered, "I wonder should I take my truck back and make sure the lug nuts and oil plug are also tightened?" Lesson learned: Customers should always double check what is done to your vehicle. Have a great day and enjoy your Ford! read more

Bought a truck from Duval 2 years ago. Amazing sales experience. Customer service ended when I walked out the door. The day I bought the truck, there was a cut on the back seat. The salesman told me to bring it back the following week and they would replace. When I returned, I spent 2 hours being tossed from manager to manager until someone finally got the salesman on the phone to verify. They promised they would order. Fast forward 2 months. Never received a call so I went in. Went through another 2 hours of being passed around because there was no record of anything. Fast forward 3 months. Wasted another hour attempting to get Duval to fulfill their promise from 5 months prior. Finally dawned on me that their culture at Duval is to make it so incredibly painful for the consumer that they finally give up... And they were ultimately successful. I will never return and my career as Navy Chief in the local community has allowed me to pass my opinion of Duval Ford to thousands of potential customers. read more

i found a car online that i liked,,i requested someone call me. later that day i had a salesmen call. i sent him some pictures of my trade,,he said he would get his sales manager to look them over and get back with me the next day. well 1030am the next day i called him because i hadn't heard anything,salesman told me he gets to work at 1130am and would have me some info in an hr or around 1230pm....well by about 4pm i texted him because he hadn't gotten back to me,,he told me what they said they'd put in my trade,,low ball. so i made an offer,,,after a few hrs i finely heard back,,,still no go..but no counter offer,,so i make one more offer, nope...so for five hundred dollars the deal didn't get done,,,so if this is how i'm treated before i purchase a car,,,how in the world would they treat me after they have my money....sales manager wont work with you,,heck i couldn't even get a counter offer... read more

I bought a 2016 ford fusion here 2 years ago.... the car has been decent to me, but the service at ford is horrible!!! First off they told me when I got the car that I could only get a black fusion that had 240 miles on it (brand new) from prolly a sales person driving it home. that was the only car and color I could get... pretty ridiculous, but it was my first new car so I was happy... had tire issues the first week and winded up bringing my car back everyday for 2 weeks until they gave me a new tire.... I bought the extended warranty and everything for the car, but all that covers is oil changes till 60k miles.... 2500$ for oil changes... ripoff!!! not even 2 years later and my battery is completely dead and cant be jumped or charged.... the cell in the battery was shot.... so I take it up there.... no help..... the warranty I paid 2500 for doesnt help at all.... I pleaded with everyone in there and they actually got an attitude!! I was being nice, its just I have 2 jobs... and have no time to be late, or have my car die at work.... ( the whole time my car was running in the parking lot) then the service manager kept having different people come in and they were all looking at me when they came in her office like she was in there talking crap about me... like, sorry I was trying to fix my car ( thats what yall do) ... an hour later I talked to a nicer girl that told me about ford credit.... I didnt want to do it, but I had no choice as no one would help me at all! I got approved for 1k... on a ford credit card at a 30% interest rate... again , horrible..... but I had not choice, so I did it and bought a battery that winded up being over 200$ with fees!!!!!!!!! so now Ill owe 30% on top of that to fix my battery!! Next time Ill get a Chevy or something...... something I can actually choose and have decent service with... they push everything on you to buy it.... then find reasons why you cant use your warranty for that issue! read more

Can only speak to their used car sales. I live in Atlanta area and found a 1997 Mark VIII at this dealership. They were very helpful in getting pictures so that I could check out the car long distance. I also asked if the car had gone thru and inspection that verified everything was in working order and was told yes this car was owned by service manager's father so everything was good. Flew down to pickup the car and it looked very nice (and still does). Drove it around for a mile or so and didn't notice anything bad other than electric tilt on steering wheel did not work and later found out the cd changer also doesn't work. So we finished the deal and I proceeded on my drive home. All was fine until I ran into heavy rain. When I would apply the brakes with any force at high speeds the car pulled violently to the left and then on release overcompensated coming back right. This was 200+ miles into my trip home so I continued driving super careful. I immediately took the car to a local ford dealer the next morning and they said the car need front brakes due to a caliper locking up and also needed basically a new front suspension. SO BUYER BEWARE OF DUVAL FORD ESPECIALLY IF THEY TELL YOU THE CAR WAS INSPECTED!! I sent an email that day to both the salesman and the GM and never heard a word. read more
