I explained my situation and he said he could take a quick look at it since it was on his way to his call. He came to my place a half-hour later and saw the problem. Wow! I am so happy we called DVS plumbing. My mother-in-law lives in Sun City Shadow Hills and had a leaky toilet. She called another local plumber who came out and gave a $800 estimate to replace the toilet. Once she told us that we thought the price was on the high Side, especially if the toilet could be repaired and not replaced. After doing a Yelp search I discovered DVS plumbing and called and spoke to Daniel. I was impressed immediately because he answered the phone and I didn't have to leave a message. I told him the situation and he said he'd be more than happy to take a look. However he was booked out for about two weeks. Then he called me back and said he'd be more than happy to come out on Saturday which was just three days from when I called him. Daniel was in constant communication with us about when he would arrive at my mother-in-law's knowing that we lived in Los Angeles. Once he got there, he took one look at the toilet and realized that it was sitting askew and needed Some bolts tighten down in several places. Once he straightened everything up and tightened the bolts it appears the leak has stopped. Then he called us and explained everything over the phone about what he did. At this point, we're going to watch the toilet over the next week and see if the leak is gone and if not he will come back and do a repair kit which is a fraction of the cost of a new toilet. We were extremely impressed with his workmanship, honesty, and constant communication. It's really nice that we have a reliable plumber we can call when needed. I chose DVS purely based on the Yelp reviews. I called, left a message. Daniel returned my call a bit later in the day. I told him what I needed (bathroom faucet swap and new angle stops) and he quoted me a price. We set a date/time, and he gave me a 2 hour window for the appointment. On the day of the appointment, 1 hour and 15 minutes had passed into the time frame and he called to let me know his ETA...very impressive. He arrived on time, jumped right in, and completed the job in about an hour and a half (as he had estimated). No surprises in the charge, it was exactly as he had quoted. For years I have been a loyal customer to another local plumbing/HVAC company, but based on this experience, I may just switch to DVS for all my needs. DVS was the 3rd plumber we called to fix a bathtub drain issue. Plumber 1 was a one man outfit, and couldn't move the stand alone bathtub. Plumber 2 was sent to us by the home warranty company and spent 5 minutes looking down the drain with a flashlight and told us the tub had to be replaced (never lifted the tub to look at the drain, even though he told us they could). Enter Jason and Jamie from DVS. Professional, friendly, and explained to us every step of what they were doing and why. Showed us the bad drain pipe, explained why it happened and showed us the replacement part. The cost was far less then buying a new bathtub. I had to wait to get an appointment with DVS (the are understandably busy) but it was totally worth the wait. Great company! read more

We've lived here about a year and if there has been a theme to our new Palm Springs home it's been plumbing. Thankfully, we found DVS through our home inspector. This review is long overdue. At the risk of repeating from the other positive reviews, I will say that, in addition to being reliable and very knowledgeable, Daniel is a down-to-earth guy who is responsive and easy to work with. We could not have made it through the first year in our home without Daniel and his crew. They have done major jobs on the water and sewer lines, both inside and outside the house (including drilling through our slate floor to get to a casita plumbing issue), as well as minor jobs on short notice like unclogging drains and repairing/replacing faucets. They never just do just an easy band-aid fix. They won't stop until they've figured out why things aren't working and fix it permanently. We have also come to trust Daniel's entire team from Big Ryan, Baby Ryan, Vic, Jamie, Chris and Jason. I am writing this review after the biggest job yet. Daniel and crew cut a trench through our concrete driveway and replaced the entire water main line from the street to our house after the very old galvanized pipe burst. We needed new ball valves and they just did everything they knew they needed to do. They did it right and installed some conduit pipes for us for future lighting/irrigation and also put in new outdoor faucets where they were useful. They are always careful of plants and their cleanup is perfect. Daniel has gotten us through many unwelcome surprises with both professionalism and a great sense of humor and we aren't done yet with a couple more planned jobs to update our mid-century into this century. read more

First he put in a new gas line for our pool heater. He did a steller job. Super professional and a pleasure to work with... I live out of the area and had two plumbing issues arise.
