We stopped by for a quick purchase to replace a belt my husband had left behind and received excellent service from a sales associate with blonde hair. She was attentive, welcoming, and provided a great overall experience. While continuing to browse for a jacket, my husband became very interested in one displayed on a mannequin. Unfortunately, our interaction with another sales associate (with black hair) was disappointing. A sarcastic remark of "yeah, just order it" came across as dismissive and made us feel that our interest in the item was not taken seriously. Because of this, we chose not to continue engaging. We believe retail is about engaging customers and building genuine connections, and it was unfortunate that this interaction did not reflect that standard. Went in today to size some polo shirts to purchase later online. I tried a couple on to get a good fit and then ended up finding a couple of polos in my size with colors that I liked, so I decided to purchase them. As I was at the counter, I noticed all the employees wearing tshirts saying to ask them about FitMap, so of course, I had to ask. That's when Reyna, who was ringing up my shirts, told me all about their FitMap program where you stand in the fitting room with a pair of boxers that they give you for free and through thermal imaging, a computer will measure you out and give you the proper sizes for clothing and brands within the store (oh, also it's a free service). So of course I said why would I NOT try it out. I've never been good with sizing pants as it is, so I was given my free boxers to wear while I was measured by the scanner and the process was super easy. After that, I asked Reyna if we might find some chinos in my size and the computer ended up suggesting the perfect size. I'm so glad I asked about this service and Reyna made every step of my shopping experience top notch. read more

The big and tall store had one thing in common back in days, drab clothing. Welcome DXL, were you can get everything from an custom suit, office outfit, workout, or chill wear. All in your size brothers ! Yup they got you. No more looking to the back of the rack, or asking if there are bigger sizes in the "back", nope. You are greeted when you come into the store, and customers service is great. I even take out of town family to this store since they are not the most common in other states. If your big or tall, old or young, they got you, and that is a good feeling. Note: It is not the cheapest place to get clothes, but is your like me and hate looking around a store for hours. Time is money, and being able to walk in and out in a few minutes is worth it for me. ( If your still worried about the price. I wanted to drop 2 stars because I continue to be disappointed year after year when I come to Vegas and visit this store. I always walk around for more than 20 minutes before anyone even speaks to me and while that doesn't really bother me it is a bit unprofessional. Also for this to be the FLAGSHIP Store, it continues to disappoint with its lack of selection and just general overall feel. Now before anyone thinks I am just being mean consider this I have shopped at DXL since all the Casual Male stores were taken over by DXL I have been extremely loyal despite them taking away the store charge card, reducing the reward program to a shell of its previous self and offering maybe 2 decent coupon deals a year. I have had the same issues in stores from California to Oregon, Detroit to Chicago, Arizona to Texas, it is happening everywhere. The only reason I retained a 4-star rating for this locale is that they have a decent and unique however overpriced articles of clothing for my beloved Las Vegas Golden Knights!!!! Had to get a suit, or more less a coat n vest for a party I was going to in less than 4 hours. when I first walked in I was shocked and Amazed by all the different varieties of clothing available for big and tall guys personally me being a big guy. It was personally like a Shopper's Paradise for clothing being the size that I am. My friend and I were looking to get some suits and browsing around for some off the rack coats. Not knowing what really fits or what really worked, an older gentleman with a swagger like none other approached us. This man was smooth and talk the talk, he could got me fitted in a perfect setup without even touching the measuring tape. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by multiple employees. Jefferey was the main person who had helped us throughout the store. Location: only 1 entrance to the parking lot which is shared with a restaurant. This is our 2nd time here and the parking lot always seems to be half full or empty. The first time we went was in the after noon around 1 ish and the second time we went was around 7 and the parking lot was empty. The store was very clean and organized which is always a plus in my book. When Jefferey first walked up to us he asked if we were looking for anything in particular or just browsing. We told him just browsing and he was okay with that not pushy and offered us water before letting us look. We looked through the entire store and their clearance section ( again still organized!) we spent more time in the pants and jacket area and Jefferey joined us again. He assisted my husband in finding the perfect fit for pants, which can be difficult and overwhelming at times. Although it is a bit pricy we still left with 2 pants and it didn't hurt to bad since the experience was fantastic! read more

I have a hard time finding snap button flannel shirts, especially 100% cotton, but I was able to find one here that I somewhat liked. Online ordering went well, delivery was on-time. Overall, good. I would have liked more than only one choice in one combination of plaid colors. I just tried it on. It feels good. I got the XL Tall size, based on their size estimation process. The length of the shirt and the sleeves are perfect, longer than the size chart indicates, which is what I needed. However, the XL is baggier than the usual XLs I buy, so it is very roomy. Since it is 100% cotton, I am counting on it to shrink. Also, I sometimes wear an undershirt and a long sleeve T shirt or turtleneck underneath, so there's room for that. I think a Large Tall would have been better, but I'll stick with the XLT rather than go through the return process. If you are undecided between the LT and the XLT, go with the LT. The product is generously cut. Also, the product description is a bit off. It does not have a button down collar, there are two chest pockets, not one, and the buttons are like gunmetal, not horn, which I like. read more

My husband - who is both big and tall - isn't a clotheshorse by any stretch. A clean polo of a not-sucky color is usually all he wants. Still, at his size, it can be hard to buy anything at a reasonable cost without getting into bad stitching, too-short shirts that provide a gut-peep with every inhale, or the not-too-subtle, quick-fading shades that come from cheaper dyes. Casual Male had been making both of us happy since we first rushed in three years ago, looking for something suitable for elegant night on a cruise. Alas, our CM store closed, and the CM store at Decatur/Oakey was small with little that fit my husband's taste. (Is plaid the new hotness again or something?) Before we hit the remaining CM in Henderson or, sigh, the catalogs, we decided to try Destination XL. And now we have a new favourite! The staff was excellent, right at the high level we'd come to expect from our old Casual Male. Knowledgeable, quick with suggestions, just as quick with a coupon (we were unable to print the one on the website), and with that fantastic ability of showing up when needed while being discreetly busy elsewhere and definitely non-hovering when we wanted to just browse. Our worries that it would be all three-digit prices were unfounded. Yes, the store does have lovely options in this price range, and more than once my husband said, "I like this," and I had to laugh and tell him, no, he didn't, as I showed him the price tag. (Country mice didn't even know that some city mice pay $375 for shirts!) But many shirts were available at the $50-$60 prices common to Casual Male, and just before the clearance alcove we found even less expensive shirts - $25-$35. The clearance section was excellent - ample, and organized by size. Of course, only at a store like this could we bemoan not being able to get a half-priced Tommy Bahama because it was one size too big. Wah! All clearance item tags have a red, green, or blue dot, meaning 25-, 50-, or 75%-off the tag price. If you're not familiar with how sizing here works, pants are traditionally sized (number combinations), as are the dress shirts. Otherwise, you're looking at numbers like 3XL or 3XLT, the "T" standing for "tall" and applying to shirts as well as pants. (The largest size I saw was a 7XL.) It's great to shop somewhere that understands that big and tall are not always the same thing. (If only this empire would expand into stores for the ladies! I'd love to be able to buy clothes for my fluffy self that weren't skewing to younger/trendier - as with Lane Bryant and Avenue - or matronly/depressing. I just want pants that don't think I play basketball or assume I'm too cool to need a pocket for my keys. You guys don't know how lucky you are to have places like this.) The offerings on hand can set you up with a complete wardrobe: t-shirts, athletic wear, shorts, casual, business casual, resort casual, hipster, conservative, outerwear, underwear, ties, socks, watches, and shoes. And if you can't find it, you can always thumb through a catalog or look online. (I highly recommend signing up for offers. We went to our old store more than once just because the coupon mailer was too good to not see what was in stock. On this trip, we got 25% off *everything*, including the clearance items that were already running around $20 after markdown.) Dressing rooms are spacious, with a comfortable bench at one end and a bit of a runway up to the full-length mirror. Two hooks only - I'd like to see a few more. The salespeople make you feel welcome to try on as much as you'd like. (I know that seems logical, but we all know those places where taking in items as well as dealing with discards is a chore passed on the customer.) I was happy that I could sit in the room with my husband and give my opinions (by invitation, I swear!) as he tried things on, instead of having to wait outside where he'd have space to walk around. If you're a big guy (whichever way you measure, or both), don't settle for cheaper fabrics of uninspired design where everything is cut to the same shapelessness. Even if you don't find what you want here, you're guaranteed a stress-free, attractive shopping environment with plenty to consider. read more

Lots of options but HELLA expensive I wanted a shirt and jeans for a trip to the club. The shirts were 200+ dollars. The jeans were the same. The lady asked if I had heard of the designer and when I said no she decided that I was not really worth the time. The shirt was $350. Fuck that. We bought a shirt that was crappy for $70 and the lady would not even ring us up. You want attitude and have money to burn go to DXL. Coming from Hawaii this was one of the first things we wanted to do, we don't have clothes that cater to bigger men so this was exciting for us. As soon as my boyfriend and I walked in, his face lit up in joy. Every time we walk into a normal store my boyfriend gets so discouraged and my heart breaks for him. This was an amazing experience for us and it wasn't just a "normal" shopping. It was the first time my boyfriend didn't feel uncomfortable shopping for clothes. He was like a kid in a candy store. We spent so much time in here and was not afraid to spend money. Not only was this store so clean and presentable but the employee that was helping us is what made this trip 100x better. I hope I remember his name right but I believe he said his name was Ren. He was AWESOME and had so much aloha! I hope one day in the future Hawaii can open a store like this. This place is not a place where you just go to a rack, grab an article of clothing, and walk to the counter. This place is an experience. The guys that work there aren't there to hassle you, they're their to genuinely help you. Let them grab the reigns, tell them what you need, and they'll work their magic. Jeffrey is that dude. The patience he has, and the love he has for what he does, makes it a pleasure to interact with him. He once showed me a way to save on suits for work. Instead of buying complete suits, he showed me some blazers that could pair with different pants, and in turn, save money. To some reading this, that may be some 101 stuff, but to someone like me, he put me on game. When I come here, I imagine that this is what it must be like when you walk into some clothing store in Rodeo Dr. The attention you get is as if you're there spending thousands, when in fact, you're buying just a few things. It's bittersweet because I happen to be losing weight, and there may be a time I may no longer need to shop here, but I'll still go there for accessories such as their shoes/sneakers. Destination XL has a great variety of apparel for folks who are underserved by traditional department stores. This was my first trip to a big and tall store. The department stores just don't have enough of a selection in my size. I was the smallest patron in the store that day, which was nice. *smiley face* But it turns out that I'm a tweener - too big for the traditional clothing store and not quite big enough for the big and tall store. *sad face* My new job requires business casual wear; I have plenty of suits and jeans, but no business casual pants. I was impressed by the selection here. The nice sales lady just turned me loose...I must have tried on 15 pairs of pants before finding the ones that fit well. The clothing was high quality and the pricing was fair. I was impressed! Some general observations about big and tall stores: --- All of the employees were skinny. Can't you find a fat guy to be a salesman? I'm telling you, they would rake! --- Sizing means nothing here, even less than it does at a normal department store. I could hike some of the pants up to my chest. Elastic waistbands are fairly awesome. Take your time and find what works for you - it's probably here. In a word? RUDE. The short hispanic male Jorge (George?) there is exactly that. The ladies are quite nice but Jorge, who clearly fancies himself a manager of sorts, is incredibly rude. We just left there 5 minutes ago and we were in and out in 2 minutes. We walked in, happy and looking to price out a formal-ish outfit for my hubby for my office Christmas party in Dec. I told Jorge this. The SECOND I said what we needed, and the date, and that we needed him measured (but that we weren't ready to buy tonight) Jorge looked at me, without us looking at a single item and declared, "$500 bucks!" I said, "you're joking right? For pants, shirt, tie, vest and shoes? $500?!" Jorge, feeling every ounce of "You aren't spending $ tonight so Im not about to help you!" he could muster, looked at me and smugly said, "Yep!" Not one word about "let me help you find just the right pieces to meet your needs" or anything even close to that. It was totally the Big and Tall male version of the Rodeo Drive Dress Shop scene in Pretty Woman. Guess what Jorge. I have an amazing job with an amazing company, and I make more than enough to buy your $500 worth of indonesian fake fashion, but you'll never see us again. Like most of their clientele, I'm a big guy who hates shopping. I've been needing to step up my wardrobe for work and this place has been really helpful. The sales staff, particularly Michelle, have all been welcoming, helpful, without being pushy. They really have spent time helping me pick out things that fit and suit me. I have rather severe scoliosis and their tailoring has made it the first time I've been able to get a blazer that fits me properly. Their clothes are a really high quality and I think the prices are fair given the speciality and quality. You can also usually get coupons & use their point system to save money. Wow! They gave us the star treatment. My fiancé and I came here to look for a suit for our wedding. Usually we go into traditional stores and can't find anything that is long enough for his arm and not a tent through his chest. We stopped here yesterday on the way back to our hotel after our flight was delayed and we are now here for two more days. My boyfriend was buying some clothes and the hospitality of the staff was amazing. First, they offered to store our luggage. We were offered cold water and they called a cab for us when we were done shopping. Oh, and my phone was dying so I was given an outlet to charge my phone while we were there. When I told the guy that I need to get dressed for under 200 he told me to go to Burlington. I saw multiple suits for under that price on their website. Assistant Manager Reyna is awesome! I ordered a suit from their online catalog while I was in store one day and when it came in I went in to have it measured for alterations. The problem was the warehouse sent the wrong jacket but it was so close in color but with a different pattern that neither of us noticed until I came in to pick it up after the alterations. She more than made it right getting the correct jacket sent out and putting a rush on the alterations and then even let me keep the wrong jacket to use as a sports coat since it had already been altered. read more

I was attending a local sporting event the 2nd week of October and had been looking all over LV for a particular team shirt. Almost every store I called either didn't have what I was looking for or didn't have my size. I called DXL and they hooked me up. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone (I wish I could remember his name) had the shirts waiting for me in a fitting room when I arrived. I find it tough to find nice clothes that fit well and, in my experience, DXL generally doesn't disappoint. This particular store has an impressive selection of clothing for big men. Disappointed. The store actually has the words "Big & Tall" in their name. But when visiting multiple stores, we were told they only carry up to 34" inseam in store. My sons wear a 38" inseam and thought that for once they could actually see a style of pants/jeans in store before purchasing (unlike online). If you only carry for "Big" and not "Tall," perhaps convey that in your advertising. read more
