I had a fantastic purchasing experience with Dye Auto Sales. I live in Southern Colorado and found a low mileage Duramax, 4WD truck that Dye Auto had advertised on craigslist. I made the trip to Wheat Ridge, Co. and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I didn't know a thing about diesels so I was very impressed with my salesman Matt and Dave the owner. They provided me with very useful information regarding diesel vehicles. I felt very comfortable purchasing the truck after they addressed my questions and concerns. I don't particularly enjoy buying vehicles so it was uplifting not to be pressured into making a purchase. In fact my experience was very positive and I was able to purchase the truck at a much cheaper price than what any of the larger dealerships wanted for a comparable vehicle with low miles. I continue to get compliments on my truck everywhere I go. Unfortunately, many days after my purchase I did experience a mechanical problem with the truck. I immediately contacted Matt my salesman who referred my call to their sales manager Rob Silva. Rob was very helpful and attentive to my needs. He began our conversation with "Don't worry we're going to take care of you"; and he did. My problem was immediately resolved. They truly have some of the best diesel mechanics on their team. They will take your 600.00 upfront fee for them to sell your vehicle, and tell you they will list it on all the car websites and it will have no problem selling quickly. I even gave full disclosure that my truck had a battery issue, and wouldn't start time to time, but if the battery was fully charged, it was fine. They said shouldn't be a problem. 3 weeks later, truck was only listed on Craigslist 6 times. On no other website. I called and asked why, and they apologized for not getting it listed on any other ones, not even their own website. I assume they wanted to save some money. 4 days later it was on a few other sites. Then they won't tell you what they will list it for. You tell them what you want to get out of the vehicle, and they say no problem. For instance I wanted 6500.00 for my truck, then they list it for 9000.00, and whatever money above 6500.00, plus the 600.00, they keep. I get the whole negotiating thing people do, but 9000.00 for what I have is way too much to start at. They will turn down offers just above your price so they can make more money for themselves. They don't care, its not costing them money to have your truck sit on their lot. So be aware they are looking out for themselves, and not the seller. If you're fine with all of this, this is a great company to go with. read more

Do not buy a car from Dye!!! I purchased a truck 2 months ago from them and they talked me into the extended warranty since I was buying a truck with turbos and this would cover the turbos. THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT THE TRUCK THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. I of course called and they said to bring it in. Well the light turned off the next day and they told me not to worry about it that it was probably nothing and they could not diagnose the issue unless the light was on. Well the light turned on and off a few times over the next month but went off before I could take it in. Finally I took my truck in with the light on to a different dealership and both of my turbos are bad. I have $3k worth of work and the "turbo warranty" they sold me is only covering 1/3. Dye auto sold me a truck that had an issue when I drove it off of the lot and I find it hard to believe they did not know the issue existed. Not only will they not stand behind the product but wont stand behind the warranty they sold me as well. This is one of those dealerships that you have nightmares about where they are scum that are selling a defective product and not willing to stand behind it. I recently went to Dye Enterprises and when I got there, I was promptly welcomed by their salesman Richard. I asked about their inventory of trucks because I was looking to buy one for my girlfriend as a gift. He told me that he had many great trucks in stock to choose from and asked exactly what I was looking for. I responded diesel trucks with 4X4 and he immediately pointed out a couple of trucks fitting my girlfriend's needs. After checking them out, I picked out the 2008 Ford F250 that would be a perfect match for my girl. Financing came through with a great rate and payment plan. The service and professional atmosphere was unparalleled by other dealers I have been to, thanks a lot for the great truck and confidence in buying from a small dealership. They will take your 600.00 upfront fee, and tell you they will price it aggressively to sell it quick, then ask an astronomical price for it, because you already paid them, and they don't care how long it sits on their lot. They make anything above what you agree to be paid for the vehicle. They say they will list it on all the car selling websites, but don't do that for at least three weeks after you ask them why it's not on any of them, except two ad's a week on Craigslist. I put a review on here a couple months ago, but it mysteriously disappeared, so I thought I would write another one. o yourself a favor, and just sell your vehicle yourself. read more
