Been going here for a year and my child loves it here. They are quick in and out within 30 minutes.

If your insurance plan has a limit for lifetime orthodontic care, it will be used up because of the free consultation. We got bit by this, and as a result, we have to pay $346 out of pocket for the "free" consultation. We went in for the free consultation, but chose to go with another orthodontist because this office was slow to return phone calls, not very helpful with questions, and not willing to submit to our insurance for a preauthorization, something other offices are typically happy to do. At no point did anyone at this office tell us that they would be billing insurance for a free consultation, but they did. A year later, my son is about to get his braces off, we get a call from our orthodontist (a different office in the area which I would unreservedly recommend). His lifetime limit for orthodontic care has been used up, and we owe $346 over what we thought we would owe. So, we wound up paying $346 for our "free" consultation with Dr. Lee. I called Dr. Lee's office to see if I could work this out. First I asked the receptionist if they billed insurance for the free consultation. I spoke with two different receptionists, and both said without hesitation that, no they did not bill insurance. When I pressed the matter, they had me speak with billing. Finally, billing said that they did charge insurance for "records." When I explained our situation, the billing rep told me that I should have had a better understanding of my benefits. When I mentioned that the receptionists had said that insurance was not charged for the consultation, she said that they didn't bill for the consultation, but for "records," and that I should have asked "the right questions." Really? I asked "Will you charge my insurance for the consultation?" and that wasn't the right question? She expects customers to know to ask, "Will you charge my insurance for records that you start during the free consultation?" Needless to say, this office is not interested in making this right. They have $346 from my insurance, which I wound up having to pay my current orthodontist. They have zero interest in helping us work this out with our insurance or our current orthodontist. Stay away! Like I said, not only did this office cheat us out of $346, but they are also slow to return phone calls and unhelpful with customers' questions. I can't recommend other orthodontists in the area by name, or I would, and don't fall into the trap we did: don't even go in for a "free" consultation. If you decide to go to a different orthodontist, you'll wind up paying $346 for that "free" consultation!

Proceeded to put me on hold to 3. Finish typing out her work on the computer. I know because she didn't actually put me on hold, just threw the phone down and I heard all the typing. Then after 6+ minutes, she picked up the phone and hung it up... So I call back and had to give her all the information I just told her minutes before. " I am calling to reschedule my appt" her: "What is your name?" I give her my name... and then she says " ok, you're all set." Ma'am. We didn't reschedule anything yet. Pay attention to the customer calling on the phone and put your work to the side for a second. This happened every time I called, so then they gave the option of texting the office. Great! But they don't answer the text for days. You have to send multiple texts. Their ortho work is good but that front office staff needs customer service training. It's really bad.

When I go to my regular dentist they run my insurance while I was there and had a price list of my services by the end of my appointment. It took over a month just to get the consultation.
