The front office staff needs training. No other way to put it. I called to reschedule an appointment and the person who answered the phone 1. MUMBLED the name of the office and then 2. Proceeded to put me on hold to 3. Finish typing out her work on the computer. I know because she didn't actually put me on hold, just threw the phone down and I heard all the typing. Then after 6+ minutes, she picked up the phone and hung it up... So I call back and had to give her all the information I just told her minutes before. " I am calling to reschedule my appt" her: "What is your name?" I give her my name... and then she says " ok, you're all set." Ma'am. We didn't reschedule anything yet. Pay attention to the customer calling on the phone and put your work to the side for a second. This happened every time I called, so then they gave the option of texting the office. Great! But they don't answer the text for days. You have to send multiple texts. Their ortho work is good but that front office staff needs customer service training. It's really bad. read more

I went for a consultation and still have of yet to receive a price list for treatment. Seems as if the front office works on their own time, not to mention one could be seen strolling on IG. It was my first time there and mored than likely I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Dr. Harmon was amazing but should seek staff that actually wants to work. When I go to my regular dentist they run my insurance while I was there and had a price list of my services by the end of my appointment. It took over a month just to get the consultation. read more

Dr. Harmon and his staff are nothing short of amazing! I am currently a little over 2 years in my treatment and I should be getting my braces removed and gum trimming very soon. Dr. Harmon and his staff are always friendly, efficient, personable, and professional. I never have to wait longer than 20 minutes even when the office is jam packed. Dr. Harmon's office also sends me reminders of my appointments and without them, I'd be lost! When I started treatment I suffered from a deep overbite and crowding on both my top and bottom rows. I went for my consultation yesterday after I was referred by one of my girlfriends who just recently received dental service from Dr. Harmon. First, my appointment was scheduled on a third party site. I scheduled my appointment at 5:30, however the office closes at 6 and does not take those type of appointments so close to closing time. The site sent me a $5 Amazon gift card just because my appointment was canceled! I thought it was a scam but they actually sent it in the mail within 3-5 days (pretty cool!). A representative from Dr.Harmon's office then called to reschedule my appointment, same day just thirty minutes earlier. I was delighted that I could still be seen. On my way to my appointment I was running about 10 minutes late. When I called to let them know, they were still very welcoming and once I arrived the ladies at the front desk were extremely warming! You could immediately tell that this office is a popular place because there were a few people (old, middle aged, and young), seated in the waiting area. I was seen right away. Once I fill out my forms I was placed in a room to watch some introductory videos. After that, Dr. Harmon personally inspected my teeth, and even shared some of his background with me. He was such a nice man and his staff were just as kind! He quickly wrote up the services I would be receiving, and "hooked me up"! Mina broke down my payment plan and the different ways I could make my payments. She was a great help! I am totally looking forward to getting my braces and going back to Dr. Harmon's office!! This review is just an echo of many others. I love Dr. Harmon!! He is so friendly, personable, and genuine. When I first went in for my consultation I knew from the moment I walked in the door that this would be the orthodontist for me. I had consultations with 3 other orthodontics, one noted as one of the best in DC, but none of them seemed like a good fit for me. Fancy technology, and modern art aren't deciding factors for me. At Dr. Harmon's office the staff we so friendly it felt like family, they were kind and explained things to me without rushing, and they took the time to learn and address me by name. Those are the things that's most important. Dr. Harmon listened to my concerns and we decided on a treatment plan that was best for me. No one was too pushy or tried to convince me to choose them. They accepted my insurance and gave me different payment options and explained the treatment plan to me. I choose to go with the Invisalign treatment and gum cutting. I have every faith and confidence that my smile will look better than expected by the end of my treatment. I can't say enough about Dr. Harmon and the practice. Now as a patient my feelings about Dr. Harmon and the office has not changed. I still feel very at home and welcomed when going there and everyone is so kind and willing to work with you and your needs. The one small downside is that they can be very busy, but I see that as a plus; if he had no patients it would make me question his abilities. I went to Dr. Harmon as a referral from a long list of doctors I've seen over the last 2 months for TMJ issues. Office staff very nice. He's very kind and listened and offered his best appoach to alleviate the pain I've been suffering from. Dr. Harmon is awesome! He is very knowledgeable, a perfectionist in nature, and won't stop until your teeth are perfect, which I greatly appreciate. It helps also that he and his staff are very friendly and professional! I am very particular about things, so I ask questions a lot - and he answers them with no problem at all! I feel that I am appreciated, and that is very important to me. My only concern is the attitude of the receptionists. Though they are very nice and professional over the phone, in-person encounters can be uncomfortable, as they are at times unapproachable. I've been a patient of Dr.Harmon for about 2 years and each of my visits are always rushed through. I had Invisalign for about 10 months and my smile looks perfect but I still have retainer checks. I have been taking my son to Dr Harmon for braces for about a year now. Not only does Dr Harmon take time to address my sons interest but he also takes the time to encourage him or redirect his behavior when I let him know what's happening in school. I read a review below, which says his office is very busy with teens; this is true. however I think the reviewer forgot to note, the efficiency of his office. I have never waited more than 15 minutes even when I brought my son in for broken wires or during an emergency visit.
