I brought my Dad's truck in to have diagnosed for a recurring " check engine light" warning. It had to do with emissions and my Dad has spent over a thousand dollars at various shops getting it fixed, but it just kept occurring. Mike initially changed out some evap sensors, that cured the problem for just a few days before coming back on. He always replaced them at no charge when i brought it back. Finally, he ended up pulling off the bed of the truck and traced down a 3 way evap hose that could only be seen with the bed off. It was broken off at junction. He ended up only charging for the new part, no labor! Mike is the most honest and reputable mechanic i have ever dealt with. I highly recommend him ! read more

I took my Ford Explorer here because my water pump leaking. After explaining the importance of not over looking what was going on with my vehicle. I decided to have them repair my vehicle which requires tearing down half of the engine because the timing chain also needed to be replace and while in the process they notice that my spark plugs needed to be replaces as well. They told me it would take 2 to 3 days and they delivered as promised. And now my vehicle runs great. What I like, is that they were far and honest. Dynamic Automotive was recommended to me and I was not disappointed, I was blown-away. My sick father lives 4 hours away from me and I frequently drive my 2007 Honda to see him. I was concerned about some of the sounds I was hearing and brought my car into Dynamic Automotive. I talked to the owner, Pete, about my concerns and explained why I needed my car to be reliable. Pete drove my car to hear the sounds, identified the issue and educated me on what needed to be corrected. He popped the hood to show me the damaged parts in my car and looked up the same healthy parts on Google to show me what it should look like. Because of the miles I drive, he also examined other essential mechanics and organized a list of suggestive improvements. He did his best to make it affordable for me by explaining which improvements were more critical than others. Again, he explained why each improvement was imperative and gave me a few days to consider the costs and make an educated choice as to what I'd like to fix and what improvements I'd like more time to save for. I don't write many reviews but Pete, and his team at Dynamic Automotive, were so honest and genuine and did such amazing work that I felt inclined to share. I wish it was possible to give Pete and the team at Dynamic more than five stars. I would give them ten if I could. My car failed a smog test at a different garage in Upland. They said my engine compression was low and wanted to charge me $1800 to fix it (that's AFTER they charged me $180 just for the diagnosis -- never again). I went to Dynamic for a second opinion and they told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my compression at all. They replaced my old spark plugs and wires AND got the car to pass smog all for a fraction of the price the other place wanted to charge me. My car is old and my budget is limited so I was feeling ready to give up on the whole thing, but Dynamic saved the day. I will never take my car anywhere else ever again. I went to this shop on recommendation from my father, who swears by their services. My father has taken his cars for repair and maintenance work to this place for as long as I can remember. I thought why not, it can't hurt to go check it out. Now I see why he comes so highly recommended by my father. Long story short, my car was not starting right. According to google, the problem was with my battery, alternator, or starting motor. Upon arrival, I informed the mechanic about the problem, and he hooked my car up for free to check what the issue was (which the dealer would have charged me to do). The battery was bad, so they replaced it on the spot with a top of the line interstate battery for (about) manufacturer direct pricing. 5 Stars for honesty and integrity, as well as professionalism. I can think of multiple ways that, had they chosen to, they could have scammed me (I know next to nothing about cars) out of a whole lot more money than I paid. I had originally went to Dynamic because of the great rating on Yelp, boy, was I surprised, rude & disrespectful employees. $200 just to disconnect my radio (not remove it just disconnect it). 3 days to do a tuneup, still wasn't done; Quotes me $250, charges $300 "Guaranteed, like new", breaks down in 2 days. & still insists you pay on work that was guaranteed. Ask'd if it was common for people to keep d bringing their guaranteed work back, was told "stuff happens" & "well let you know WHEN we get to it". Apparently I'm neither white enough, nor my money green enough to get proper customer service or general respect! Very good ol' boy type of mechanics. To top it off, the owner kept using very HOMOPHOBIC statements towards me! Warning!! Do not trust this shop. I brought in my car last week because it had the engine light on. The old guy put the test on and it supposedly read it needed a repair camshaft and a lube change. I agreed to get it done because my car is my only way of transportation. The total cost was $200. A week later the engine light came back on. I took it to a different shop near work and the guy told me the problem was the gas cap that only costed me $15.. This shop in la verne is not honest and they will take your money!!!
