I've been to their other (newer) location on Division, but they don't do pedicures there so when I wanted a mani pedi before an upcoming work trip to California I figured I'd try this location. I was not disappointed! Ana did a fantastic job on my toes (I did a spa pedicure) and my nails (no-chip manicure). I was greeted the moment I walked in the door and offered coffee, which I gladly took them up on. It was quiet when I got there (10:30 on a Saturday), but about an hour into my services it started to pick up, it was a pretty hoppin' place! Ana was very meticulous and payed attention to detail (she made sure to polish the ends of my nails, which I'm a big fan of. She was friendly but not overly chatty (I needed some time for my coffee to sink in) and got me out on the promised timeframe. I was also charged less than what was quoted online, I'm not sure why but that was a nice surprise. I came here when I purchased a groupon. I came twice since they offered the special by going the ought the salon instead of a third party. Some thing to help you determine if this is for you: They use OPI and Essie however when they do the base coat and top coat they use another band unless you do the no chip. My toe nail chipped within a week the first time so I had to request two too cost layers the second time. I think they should be consistent in products they use. The staff seem friendly. The 2nd time was very different the person opening was late! So we ( myself and nail tech) waited outside for 20 minutes :-( read more

Do NOT let some of the other reviews detour you from this place. I was in a bit of a rush to get a No Chip Mani and regular pedi; I was able to call in and set up a same day appointment with ease. I under estimated traffic and was about 10 minutes late for my appointment and was worried I'd get the "stink eye" upon my arrival... I didn't! :) After apologizing the lovely woman at the front desk pointed out the nail colors (which are already paired up no chip/reg. polish for you!!!). I was pampered by DEJA, which is ABSOLUTELY phenomenal and just fell in love! I work with my hands so I'm always weary about paying so much for a No Chip because it NEVER seems to last... Let me tell you.. Today is day 7 and if it wasn't for the out growth it would look like I had got the work done yesterday!! Bought the Groupon for two no chip manicures. My first experience was okay, nothing spectacular and my manicure chipped within the week. The person who did my nails was not into it and acted like she didn't want to be there. The second time I went was not any better. The receptionist who greeted me seemed annoyed. The person who did my nails kept looking around and not seeming to want to work. Worst part is one of my nails completely peeled off today And I got my manicure two days ago. If you care about good, long lasting results, avoid Dynamic Salon. I typically go to Revive on Milwaukee (love!) but a friend gave me a voucher from one of the deal sites for a no chip so I gave it a shot. The setup of the salon is odd, it's more of a hair salon with a few nail stations thrown in. I wasn't greeted, not even by the stylists, for quite some time after walking in the door. I knew within minutes I'd be regretting my decision. The salon didn't feel very clean and the girl that did my mani was not your typical salon employee, not nice at all. Long story short, I couldn't get out of there fast enough and I had 5 chipped nails within the first 3 days. (See photo of one hand, the other looks the same!) I'm typically good for 2-3 weeks with my Revive no chip before I have them remove it on my next appt. Had a groupon for two no chip manicures. No where on the groupon did I see it stated that only one person could use this and assumed when I brought a girlfriend with so we could both get no chip manicures on her birthday would this be an issue. But it was... So instead of having our manicures covered, I got to shell out an extra $30 for my friends no-chip and now have a single no chip manicure left over. Oh, and I really don't want to use it since my no chip started chipping on day 4. On day 8 of no chip my entire thumb has peeled off and half of another finger. That's the first time ever that I've had a no chip anywhere not still look decent at the 10 day mark. No idea what is wrong with this product to not have it last at least 10 full days. On the upside though, the ladies who did our manicures were super nice and we had a great time while we were there. Nice to be offered coffee, tea, water or wine while we waited for our manicures. (not like other salons that make you wait) I was then Greeted by Joanne, who did my first blow out in years, I normally get curls or go straight, but I was amazed at how beautiful and voluminous She left my hair. She asked how what I was looking for and made it happen. Nobody was pushy in selling me anything or ripping me off. Prices were reasonable, environment was clean, and oh! Did I mention I always get a complimentary glass of wine when I go. I've been there twice so far and every time the service has been good, consistent, inviting, and most importantly trust worthy. Went here for the first time today and had the best manicure/pedicure I've ever received. I worked with Hilary, and she did a great job. I am always wary of getting my nails done at a salon because the service you get can be all over the board. Some are sloppy, some rush through it. I used an extremely reasonable Groupon ($35 for a no-chip manicure and regular pedicure). I requested that Hilary spend extra time on my feet, and she absolutely did. I have been struggling with severe acne & scarring for about 5 years & eventually just gave up on everything. I been going to several different dermatologists, been put on different medications, been using different products & NOTHING was working. Both Michelle & Melissa have been working closely with me for about a year now. They helped me find an acne treatment product that literally stopped all my acne & now I been coming in on the weekly basis to get Microdermabrasion done to reduce my acne scars, which is working!!! I really like Dynamic. I went there the first time because of Groupon...such a fantastic deal. And its so convenient for me since I work across the street and they have no problem squeezing me in on my lunch break. There is a good selection of no chip colors, added bonus they set it up so you can find the matching color for a pedi right next to the no chip colors. The chairs are great for a nice massage while getting a pedi. I've got terrible toes and they manage to get them decent for me lol. My no chip tends to last at least 2 weeks. I did have a bad chip the next day when I got to Mexico, and when I got back 4 days later she gladly fixed it and touched up my nails free! I only had one issue there and that was when they switched my mani & pedi to a new day, and when I got there I was only down for a mani and the nail tech there was pretty rude and told me there was nothing she could do. I got a Groupon for 2 body wraps and a facial. I thought it was perfect since I was getting married in a few weeks. It said that the facial should be scheduled during one of the body wraps--no problem. I scheduled it with my first one since the second one was the day before my wedding. I thought it was great that I received a confirmation text for my appointment. However, when I got there, I was told that I cannot get my facial the same day. I explained to her why I didn't want it scheduled with my second body wrap. Her reply: "It's not gonna happen." I understand things happen, but phone call would have been nice so that I could've rescheduled the entire thing. We settled on scheduling the facial on a completely different day so I just had a body wrap on the first day. Now this was my first body wrap so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but I have heard about them from friends, and it was nothing like I expected. I thought it would involve putting some kind of vitamin enriched lotion/cream/oil on my body then wrapping me up. The body wrap here was the complete opposite of feeling pampered. I received no service. I stripped down, got into this body sized plastic covering, then laid in a sleeping bag sized heating pad... For an hour. All I did was lay there in my sweat. After the hour, I got out, dried myself off, then left. Someone came to check on me a few times, but that was pretty much it. When I came in the second time for my facial, I guess it was ok, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1, but I thought I was going to get a full facial. She only worked on me for about 30 minutes and didn't include any neck and shoulder treatments. It seemed like more of an express facial, but the Groupon didn't say anything about that. She didn't ask my about what products I used on my face, nor did she recommend anything. I dreaded my second body wrap, but I had the Groupon so I went. Same thing, but no one even checked up on my. I at least knew to bring a bottle of water with me and keep it near the bed this time. No one even saw me out. It sucked. I'm not going back, at least not for these services. She listened to my wants for the cut and let me guide her through the entire cut, even when I made her trim up each side a few times. Another groupon disappointment, but I guess you get what you pay for. I booked an appointment for a no chip mani and regular pedi. I told the girl over the phone I was interested in a French no chip, which had an up charge of $7. That's fine with me, as long as the work is quality. The girl who did my pedicure was brand new, fresh out of school. I'm all for training and letting people learn, but when you go to a high end salon, you expect high end results. The pedicure chairs are lined against a wall with zero lighting, so as she was doing my toenails, her hair kept dipping into the polish on the other side (gross!). She first buffed my nails, then cut them, then filed them (not the right order but I didn't say anything). Then she started applying the base coat, and proceeded to start cutting my cuticles. WHAT? I asked her and she just shrugged. After they dried-- I noticed that the top coat covers literally HALF of each toenail. It's especially noticeable on the big toes...come on. They're completely uneven. I could have done a better job on my own toenails, I'm sorry.... If that wasn't bad enough, we went to start my no chip French. She admitted she's only done this twice, but feels confident. She used a base coat that was clearly old, lumpy and sticky. It wouldn't dry, bubbled over instantly, and then her French line was way too thick. At this point, I got pretty upset. She got up, interrupted another manicurist mid-manicure for another client, and asked her to switch. This manicurist looked at my nails in disgust, and completely restarted from scratch. My nails are way too short now, but this had to be done because even she said it was done totally improperly. I had to go pay the meter again since I was there for an extra 40 minutes beyond what I expected (annoying). Thankfully I only paid $35 (plus 7 for the French) for this mess..I can't imagine being a new customer and paying the regular pricing for these services. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new salon to go to instead of having to drive back to the suburbs to get my nails done, but I've learned my lesson. There's something about this place that I just can't figure out. I bought the Groupon and decided to get two no-chip manicures. My first one lasted a full 3 weeks (except for my nails growing out, it seriously looked stunning on week 3 the same way it did day 1). The reason for 2 stars is because the service just isn't there. You don't feel pampered at all; more like an in-and-out sort of ordeal which is fine but just not what I expected. During my first no-chip the manicurist actually stopped my manicure to answer her phone - it was just really, really weird. I really didn't want to go back but I already bought the Groupon. My second no-chip was alright, but you could tell the polish color I'd chosen was old - the manicurist kept tipping it upside-down to get the polish on the brush. The weirdest part about this one is that she took off my original no-chip, clipped and filed my nails - but didn't buff them. So they were still rough when she started painting them. I've had my fair share of no-chips and that's never been the way I've seen it done. Then, instead of using lotion on my hands, she used oil - the hand massage was 10 stars for sure - but driving home I had to wipe off my steering wheel because it was all oiled up. Again - what? Just so weird. Maybe my experience was different because they knew I was a Groupon customer - which really isn't the point of going somewhere new with a Groupon. I bought a Groupon for a no chip mani and pedicure. I tried calling starting on Jan 8th for two days trying to make an appointment for my birthday on Jan. 15th. There was no answer or answering machine stating they would be closed for a few days. I assumed they had closed down, but I drove past and appeared open, but closed. I understand it was after the holiday's and business is slower, but this was a weekend. You should at least have an outgoing message when customer's are calling. When I finally got through to someone I mentioned that I had been calling-she said they had been closed. No problem, moving on....the girl who did my nails and toes was not rude, but she didn't say one word either really. I went in on Jan. 15th, today is the 20th and my thumb nail (that she had to re do once while I was there because it had a bubble) still had a bubble and chipped/peeled off last night. Now my middle finger and well as pointer finger are starting to get that peel that no chips start to get. I understand no chip's don't always last the full two weeks, but I've never had one last under 10 days let alone 5 days. Just paid $65 for a haircut from Miguel where he cut off 6 inches more than be was supposed to. He probably wouldn't have if he hadn't been watching TV when I told him I wanted my hair cut to my collar bone...not to the NAPE of my neck. Then he barely shampooed my head and it took him 16 minutes to shampoo cut and blow dry my hair. My appointment was at one and I was out at 1:20. I left yesterday thinking it wasn't that bad but I woke up this morning in tears and hating that I just got ripped off. I've never had this happen before. It will never happen again cause I'll never be back. Now I'll wait two years for my hair to get back to where I wanted to it be....not at the NAPE OF MY NECK. DONT GO HERE!!!! so I go in because, I heard they were good. I wanted to go blonde and so they said they'll try. And after 4 hours I leave, with damaged, FALLING OUT, over processed hair. I tried running my fingers through it and The stylist says "Don't do that your hair will fall off" like seriously. Then.... I leave with 200$ messed up hair. Softball size balls came out my hair. It's kind of rubber bandy strands. I call to get a refund and the assistant girl says " that's kinda what happens when you bleach your hair" and offers me a complementary treatment but I just wanted my money back. I came here because I purchased a Groupon for the $35 no chip mani and pedicure. They didn't have that many color options compared to other nail salons that I typically go to. The nail technician did not cut my cuticles and did not my paint my nails all the way in, making it look like they've been grown out for a week. This is the same with my pedicure. She also did not paint enough layers on my nails making it look like an ombré effect and not opaque. I felt like everything was half-hearted. Yes my nails have grown a bit but I tend to be a little rough with my hands and no chips or breaks! The toes looked great for a week but then I went on vacation and hiking and snorkeling so two toenails are chipped but in my book that's great for a non-nochip pedicure!! When I have my nails done, I expect my nails to be filed down and smoothed to a uniform length, cuticles to be pushed back, and a general overall relaxing experience. I can't speak for all of the manicurist here, but I felt like I consistently needed to tell my manicurist what to do. It was by no means a relaxing experience, and I left completely frustrated. On top of that, the gel mani did not evenly cover my entire nail and was an overall bad job. I went home and removed it myself the same day. Again, I can't speak for all the manicurists. Then when I come in, everybody treats me as though they've never seen me before, including the stylist whom I have gone to every single time. Not a very personal experience. After meeting Sarah on her husbands boat she suggested I come in to have my hair done. I thought her hair looks great so I am sure she would do a great job on mine. What a disappointment. The entire she talked about the boat parties/swingers parties she has. I felt like I was being recruited. It took forever for her to find the right color because she kept talking on her cell. My color was off originally so she recommended trying a glaze to bring it out. I agreed. The end result of the glaze was good but my color was still not what she promised. She told me to let is wait a week and check back. I waited 8 days and it just got worse. I called her back and she recommended a full NEW treatment that I would have to pay double for.
