DWS mounted an RMR and milled my Springer TRP slide about a year ago. I noticed a tiny wiggle and realized the plate had loosened. I took it in and on the spot they fixed it and even gave me a few extra screws to use when I eventually replace the battery. They were kind and realized I needed my gun back to teach a class with and fixed it on the spot, despite being so busy. They are my go to for any slide work. read more

Came here again cuz I was trying to install a holosun 509t with a baseplate on a DWS slide. Stripped the screws so badly I couldn't get them out even with extractor. Drive down this afternoon. Pedro took care of me and even shaved the base plate. I needed it for the weekend snd DWS came through. I've also had them mill my HK P2000 for optic. I've looked and searched around prior to diving into the Gucci Glock scene and DWS caught my attention with the slide designs they offer. I went with the MRK reaper III, RMR cut and a top window cut, along with a bronze DWS barrel. The slide was finished off a with beautiful and seductive midnight camouflage cerakote. This past weekend was my first time visiting this store and all I can say is wow super impressed!!! They had a special on slide work for Father's Day I dropped off my slide at noon and by 4pm they did an optic cut. Added front serrations and cerakoted my slide. They also installed my new optic and suppressor sights all within that time frame. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I needed to make the best decision for my goals. Everyone should stay as far away from this company as possible. I have had multiple negative experiences with them, but I will stick to my latest nightmare. Read all the reviews and replies on their yelp carefully. As you can see Pedro is full of excuses and it is never his fault. Long story short, I ended up with a staccato that had an optics cut by DWS. I wanted to switch to an RMR but needed a new plate. Since DWS cut the optic, I had to use their plate. On 12/30 I called and asked if they had any in stock. Pedro said they had the plates in stock. Full disclosure, I did not ask if they had the Optic in stock, however on their website it looks as if they stock them. I ended up buying the plate and optic at the same time and put the order in for will call. I was about to leave town and wanted to take my staccato with me to go shooting. I sent my wife to the store for a pickup. She met Pedro and gave him the order number. He comes back and states that he has the plate, but the optics are drop shipped from another location. My wife texted me and I told her to just have them refund the optic. Pedro didn't like that and points to a sign on the wall "No refunds or exchanges". He stated the dropship order had already been submitted and couldn't be canceled. She told Pedro great we will dispute the charge. I received a phone call 5 minutes later from Pedro telling me how my wife stormed out of the store. He said he didn't want to lose my business and was willing to work with me. He said he had other optics that he would be willing to sell me, but surprise they were $250 more. So, if I bought the one in stock for $250 more, he would be willing to cancel the dropship order. He explained the dropship process and it would only take about 3 days to get. I told him that was fine, and I would not dispute the charge. A week went by and on 1/7 I sent an email asking for an update. I got no response. I ended up calling and talking to Pedro on 1/8 and he put me on hold to go tell someone in the back to ship the optic out. I was left confused because I thought it was drop shipped directly to me but whatever. At the end of the call, he told me he would be sending tracking in 20 minutes. A week later, no optic and no tracking. I called back on 1/17 and once again Pedro answered the phone. He tells me oh yeah, it's been sitting here, we haven't been able to make it to the post office because we have been leaving here to drop supplies off for the fires. Pedro tells me he would personally take it to the post office that day. He does email me tracking. I track it a day later and of course there is no movement. I emailed Pedro again and he told me that it went out right after we spoke. Another week goes by with no movement on tracking and no sign of any optic. I sent another email on 1/22 asking what the new excuse of the day is. Within 15 minutes I got a response from him saying he will file a claim with the post office. He also states that he ordered an optic on Amazon for the next day delivery. There is a screenshot saying that the optic will be delivered on 1/23 (the next day). Of course, I wait around for this optic and to my surprise, nothing shows up. In the end, I am 4 weeks in and still no signs of an optic. I went through my bank and filed a claim. Pedro is an excuse generator and when you talk to him, he will guilt trip you every step of the way. Nothing is ever his fault. I knew, however, that they were running at max capacity, so I didn't take the delay personally. I ended up going by the store in HB to pickup one of my slides (see picture). I never leave reviews but had to for this business. I like to support small businesses and local businesses so I figured I'd give them a try. I should have read the reviews prior to doing business with them. I got a slide and optic cut done. Dropped it off after Thanksgiving and got it back April 11. That's 19 WEEKS and 3 DAYS. There is nothing they can say or do to make me repeat business. Nothing but excuses week after week after week. 19 damn weeks. HORRIBLE. Save your time and go elsewhere. Never again. EDIT: since Pedro wants to get technical. Yes, I got 3 slides done. Dropped off all 3 on 11/27. Was quoted 4wks for the XD slide and G22 for optic cuts. XD was done by 12/26. G22 wash done by 01/02. Shield was quoted 6-8wks in person. Not 10-12. No, I was never updated by text or email. I called every single week for an update. Every week was a different lie. "Oh our system went down. Oh, we all got sick. Oh, we are using a new system and lost all information. Oh, it's in cerakote, oh it's in final inspection. Oh something happened." GTFOH. You never ever updated me once like a business should have. You should pay more attention to your business rather than responding so quickly to negative reviews on Yelp. I knew you'd reply to me here faster than a response to the status of my slide. 19 weeks to do a slide, not the 6-8wks or the alleged 10-12 you claim that you have records of. I have my proof too. This year I decided to do a project gun build on a Glock 19. I thought about Salient Arms, Agency Arms, ZEV and Taran Tactical Innovations but decided to go another route trying to avoid all that marketing and branding influence and just focus on functionality, engineering and a design that appeals to me. Part of my build was looking for a slide that had great form and function. I attend SHOT show every year for work and I've seen so many aftermarket builds. It's dizzying. Initially DWS' Instagram site grabbed my attention. I am a big fan of chevron cuts and that muzzle chamfer cut with the side and top window cuts and chevron front serrations has an epic look on the DWS Reaper MRK III slide. I had to get one and decided on a precut slide to have the matching rear chevron serrations. The Glock Gen 3 OEM slide already has rear vertical serrations and I need to keep my OEM slide in stock form. When I found out they were located a few blocks from work in Huntington Beach, that sealed the deal. Ordering was easy. I decide to go in and order a Reaper MRK III precut slide with a urban ballistic camo (all greys and black), suppressor sights, full internals with 13lbs guide-rod spring and an optic cut for my Holosun H508T. I also placed an order for their rose gold barrel. What I like most about it is that it's more bronze than rose gold. Lead time was quoted 6-8 weeks. I followed up a few times and Sonia was great with customer service providing me updates. They will even call your back if your call goes unanswered even if you don't leave a message. Got everything today except the optic cut plate cover and rose gold barrel. I think it looks insane. Chase did a great job on the Cerakote and I'm pretty sure they will entertain Cerakote requests not shown own their website and IG. I'm glad I went through the endless IG posts, comments and reviews with this build. The owner, Pedro, puts considerable time into DWS' Instagram site answering questions for new and seasoned firearm followers. They also hold sales a few times a month too. Managing proper social media presence is a full time job. I think they do a pretty good job. I did have to go through special channels to get G19 slide internals from Glock as you can't find them anywhere and no one can provide concise lead times if they offer pre-orders. If you are ordering a fully assembled slide, get ready to wait or you can always pull your internals from your OEM slide but will need to get a slide channel for your firing pin assembly. Expect lead times to be towards the longer end of the estimate. DWS is gaining popularity and they've just added a new CNC (HAAS - good choice!) and moving to a larger location to meet demand but COVID-19 is still causing havoc on supply chain, so be patient. Now just waiting on that rose gold barrel and then maybe some stippling work! read more

It's unfortunate that I can't give this company a - 5 star rating. It really sucks to write this because I generally don't like writing reviews.. Please read the not recommended reviews before ordering from this trash company. It's been a year and I haven't received my slide. I've tried getting a refund and they continuously blow me off. Apparently this company doesn't provide refunds. They gave me a 6-8 week wait time and clearly they haven't met that time frame. I constantly call and email and I never get any responses. I've talked to the owner Pedro a couple times and he always apologizes and promises he'll get it done in 2 weeks which never happens. He's told me that atleast 6 times. They're customer service is horrible. They never respond to emails or phone calls. I even got an email asking me how I liked my slide! I am beyond furious and I regret ever using this company. I'm not going to waste my time and write down every time I called or emailed them. It's been atleast 20 different times. It's always the same Info, their machine is broke, the operator is sick or quit, or it's finally ready to be worked on. It's annoying. I just want my unfinished slide and money back. This company is all hype. It's funny how they can drive their trucks and go to all these shows but can't work on customers slides. I will never ever use this company again and I don't recommend this company to absolutely anybody. Specially all my brothers and sisters in law enforcement. I sent my factory G43 slide to DWS for a Holosun slide cut and their "free" Cerakote. I was told that disassembling my slide would expedite getting the service done and returned to me. I was quoted 1-4 weeks, and it took 6 weeks to get my slide back from the time they received it. The slide came back with a burr inside the plunger hole. I couldn't get the plunger into the hole. I sent email with no response... Fortunately there's a machine shop next door, and he had the correct size ream for the plunger hole. I did not want to wait another extended period just to get this fixed and sent back to me. I put a cotton swab in the firing pin hole, as well as the plunger hole and there was a lot of grit and black substance. This shows me that they didn't do any real cleaning prior to applying Cerakote the slide. Also shows that they didn't do any Quality Inspection to insure that there no burrs where they punched thru into the plunger hole, when drilling for the optic threaded holes. Now to the "free" Cerakote, I guess ya get what you pay for. The coating is already rubbing off only after five holstering and un-holstering. Only time will tell how well the coating holds up. Their video on their website states that one would get status emails during each process. I only got status when they got my slide, and when I emailed requesting for status. Does the optic fit tight and securely on the slide, yes. I am happy with that. What I'm unhappy about is the fact that there was no communication after receipt of my slide, unless I requested status. I'm also unhappy that they didn't do a quality control inspection as stated on their process, otherwise they would have known that there was a burr impeding the installation of the plunger. I'm just glad that I have a machine shop that was able to resolve the issue without me having to send the slide back. I gave a 2 star rating based on the Cerakote, the burr inside the plunger hole due to machining process, and also not having the communication that they portray that they would provide. Especially not returning a response to the email I sent asking why there was a burr that prevented me from assembling my slide, and what could we do to resolve it. I usually read negative/low rating prior to committing to something. I thought, meh... they have many great ratings, what are the chances that I would not be happy with their work. Was referred by someone and it turned into a horrible experience. We initially were told 6-8 weeks for slide, sites and barrel. After 14 weeks we contacted shop only to be told it would be done next week, (to which they looks surprised by how old the order number was) which turned into 5/6 weeks. Throughout the process we were told we hadn't paid(we paid in full), were told next it would be completed next week and then no communication until we reached out. We're even told item had been shipped when in fact it had not been shipped. Even at approximately 16 weeks from purchase date no actual product could be provided on any item purchased. No communication unless we initiated. Finally received the last of the items. Overall the product was not worth the experience. The real sad thing is you make excuses, I did mention all our communication it was all initiated by us. We didn't install the sights you only provided the rear sight originally, we never attempted to install it, if it's broken you provided a bad part. It literally stayed in the bag you gave it to us in. The barrel was part of the original purchase it's not a favor that you provided it. And as for the change order it was because I was told by your staff you could not fill the order and I was given two other options. But my guess is you will have some kind of excuse to make you feel better about the lack of service. And I was polite, did you forget that you kept calling yourself a pos, not sure why you feel the need to name call yourself. I hope you find peace as well. As for him not looking at you well we were both so disgusted from excuses he could even look at you, as for the kiss? I didn't see it and can't comment on something I know nothing about. They are far more representative of DWS * I ordered from their 'precut' selection and was repeatedly lied to and strung along by every DWS employee I had the displeasure of dealing with. They care solely about social media and, once they have your money, they couldn't care less about you or providing the product or service. Do not give them a dime. The slide eventually arrived and is quality. The workmanship is great, the cerakote is perfect, and it feels great to manipulate. Credit where credit is due, DWS made an exceptional slide. The experience with DWS has, on the other hand, been pretty abysmal. The short version is that it took almost 5 months to receive my slide and in those 5 months, DWS held my $$, refused to refund, and generally gave me the run around. September 15, 2021 - Called DWS to place an order, inquired about lead time, was told they had Gen5 blank slides in inventory so the 6-8 week lead time should be about what I'm looking at. $668 of mine to DWS at the time. Let ~6 weeks pass to accommodate the quoted lead time. Not receiving a single update the entire time.   I start calling their Updates line in late October asking about status. DWS told that me slide isn't started and they don't even have Gen5 slide blanks. I immediately ask to cancel my order and for a refund. I am told that: The lead time I was quoted (6-8 weeks) was a minimum timeline (which was most definitely not the case when I placed the order and I would not have placed the order if I had been told that or that no Gen5 slide blanks were in stock)); and DWS doesn't allow for refunds for returns but can provide store credit. This makes absolutely no sense as I had not received anything from DWS - they had taken my money and not given me a thing for it Dozens of calls and emails followed where I was promised follow up phone calls from their "VP" on several occasions, who, I was told, is authorized to approve refunds. Despite several promises of return calls from this alleged VP, I never received one. When discussing with Pedro (see below) later, it was claimed that I had received these follow up calls so it appears that someone was not being entirely factual within DWS. November 16, 2021 - I got so fed up from a month+ of runaround from DWS that I messaged them on Yelp to try to get a different person to respond. I did mention that I wanted to handle this properly but felt compelled to leave a negative review unless this was handled appropriately. I received a message and call from Pedro, the CEO of DWS, within minutes. He flat out refused to cancel my order and provide a refund despite zero work being done on a slide for me and, apparently, them still not having slide blanks. Frankly, really poor handling of the situation. He offered to 'expedite' and see what else he could do for me (like add in a RMR cut plate) - none of that ever came to fruition. Another month of sending emails and making calls. Still nothing from DWS. December 22, 2021 - Informed that slide blanks had arrived. February 2, 2022 - Machining was finally done, slide was shipped ~Feb 10th. That is 149 days / 4 months 27 days when I was told 6-8 weeks. So over double the time quoted. No channel liner was included or installed but this was expected. The slide itself is pretty fantastic but the experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I certainly will never do business with DWS ever again and don't look forward to explaining why I have an awesome slide but would never recommend DWS to anyone. I almost wasn't going to share this story and just shut up and be happy with an excellent slide but I just can't stand this kind of business practice, especially businesses caring more about their social media presence than what they are paid to do. The 16 week wait time was not worth it. The optic cut is it self not bad, but the cerakote could be improved. I can't in good conscience recommend DWS considering my experience. Honest review time. I've been a fan of DWS work for a little over a year now. Been following them on Facebook, and they're work always looked beautiful. They had a great sale during this whole COVID thing so I decided to pull the trigger and get it done. I got the MKIII Reaper cut, with RMR optic cut, and they cerakoted it, Multicam Black, as well included in the price, which was awesome!!! So I sent them my slide and got confirmation of them receiving it immediately. They were quoting 4-6 weeks on turnaround which is long, but I was fine with it especially since I have backup pistols. The actual wait was more like 7-8 weeks, but I changed the order and had them do some custom engraving on it for me. Sonya was great to deal with. I know shes fairly new there, and even with that she always found my order info and was able to give me rough updates throughout the process. The customer service was awesome in my opinion despite the longer than average wait times. They're a small business so I totally understand! Only bummer for me was that on the form they stated that they'd send the slide back with the sights re-installed and it came back without them on the gun, also they are out of the optic cover plates so I didn't receive that, and the channel liners were out. All inconveniences yes, but pretty minor considering the volume they are likely doing right now. I'm fairly savvy so I looked up a youtube video and doing a sight install is not very complicated so it's fine. I had to order the channel liner and a tool to install it, so that is a bummer cuz it's costing me like $30, silver lining being that now I'll have that tool in the future. The bottom line, they're a small business so you have to be patient with them. However, I'd definitely recommend their services, and I'm absolutely pumped on the final product! If you need slide work. DWS is a great place to come, especially if you catch one of their sales! read more

Just Visited the shop today!!! Placed a order in September Of 2023 and Waited 4 Months for my slide to be completed. It was worth that wait and the whole team did a outstanding job and they hold great quality and value to their products.
