Wonderful food. Miso soup is fantastic, as is there plethora of food combos and sushi from simple to unique. I won't give 5 stars because the service is terrible. The wait staff looks like they're all out of middle school and non of them are polite or seem to have personalities. The sushi is OK, unfortunately it's too slow. I waited about 45 min to 1 hour for my lunch twice. My son did not want to be there anymore because he can't wait for that long. I also ordered the sushi to go twice and I found the fish was not fresh, if you eat-in, the sushi is better. I never tried the Korean food, my sister and my mom tried it, and they didn't like it. I was *shocked* to find sushi this good in NH. Ho is awesome, and I have nothing bad to say about him or the food. The volcano rolls? Unreal. LOVE it here. And the kids' meals are awesome--they come with little pinwheels and mushroom chocolate cookie things. The only con is the service--seems to be young females who simply don't know what they're doing. They're not mean; just a bit inept and apathetic. If this place had service that was as good as the food (and made their seating *slightly* more comfortable), I'd give it eight stars. read more

I love this place. Good thing I don't live near by or else I'd be eating here everyday. The Katsu Maki is yummy. All of their fish is very fresh. I never leave here disappointed. Chef Ho is a sushi master - I rarely get sushi anywhere else because no place can compare to Dynamite Sushi. read more

Dynamite Sushi is probably one of the best sushi places I've been to on the east coast. My boyfriend and I always end up spending about $100 there each time. It's not because the food is pricey, it's because we always order a lot to make sure we have leftovers. Dynamite is the only place that makes sushi that tastes fantastic the next day. Usually sushi tastes disgusting the next day. Nope. Not this sushi. Did I mention that it is super easy to order sushi here? You just mark what you want and give your list to the waitress. No misunderstandings. The rest of their menu is delicious as well. I have yet to have something bad here. (Try their hot stone bowls!) For dessert, always order the fish ice cream. Presentation is cute and it's delicious! My boyfriend has me drive to H Mart in Burlington just to buy more fish ice cream because he loves them so much. The owners are super nice too. Ho is always welcoming to us and loves to joke around. One day I came in to order sushi to go and Ho offered me a free cup of soup because it was so cold out. Very thoughtful :) The only complaint I have are the waitresses at times. Some are fantastic, but some are not so attentive. I had to go steal chopsticks and sauce dishes at another table because the waitress just ignored us and served the people that came in 10 minutes after us. BUT! Because Ho saw that we were waiting so long, he gave us his famous Katsu Roll on the house! We tipped Ho personally for noticing the problem and being fantastic to his customers. This place is a must go over and over again. I also lied. I have one more complaint. This place is not open on Sundays when I crave sushi :( read more

My wife and I absolutely love going to Dynamite for dinner. We typically go often enough that when it's not too busy, we'll end up chatting with the owner, Chef Ho, and casually joking around a bit. Fair warning though, it will get pretty busy around dinner time on Friday and Saturday nights. Those who love sushi know that this is definitely the place to go. Their Sushi is definitely some of the best I've ever had, and beats out everything else in the MA/NH area in my opinion, and at very affordable prices. We've eaten there probably close to a hundred times in the last half decade, and have never once had a bad meal, nor gotten sick afterwards. The closest thing we've had to a 'less than perfect' experience was a couple of times with a new waitress or two that was still learning the ropes, but I consider that sort of thing forgivable. If you like sushi, or are looking to try something new, definitely give this place a try. Don't be thrown off by the strip mall location, this place is a hole in the wall treasure, waiting to be discovered. read more

Disappointing lunch experience. It's now self service, Food is just ok. Atmosphere needs work. I know why we were the only ones around from 11:45-12:30. First time here, under new management for one month, per server. Fast service! Very pleasant, attentive waitstaff. Iwas in need of nothing! Fresh and hot food. I greatly enjoyed the Spicy Basil, with chicken, off the kitchen main dish menu. I had the white rice and hot and sour soup. I was pleasantly surprised how good the hot and sour soup was, as it's hard to find a good version of this soup. The spicy basil dish was an ample portion of rice, with a nice supply of very crunchy carrots, a beautiful array of colorful peppers, onions and mushrooms, and just enough perfectly cooked chicken. I took my family to Dynamite for dinner. We were sadly disappointed by the quality of the food served. The dish served didn't smell good and it tasted worse. We were all disappointed with the quality of each dish served. The service was very good. I would highly recommend Shanghai Osaka for dinner instead. read more

The food is good but not vegetarian friendly at all. I am not complaining about the number of vegetarian entrees, I expect only a few. But this is the problem I had. I ordered one of their box meals but the choice of soup didn't include anything veggie. And they had no alternative to offer. So I ordered a salad instead but they could only give me a regular full salad and charged me extra for it too. If I choose not to have the soup because it's not vegetarian I still get charged for the whole box. I would be satisfied with a small salad or vegetable roll to substitute for the soup. I have given them feedback about this but never received any response. I give it three stars because the few dishes I could eat tasted decent and the service generally has been pleasant. read more

I go to Dynamite at the very least twice a month. I go with my friends, and no matter if its just two of us or our normal 6, Chef Ho and the rest of the people that work there are always amazing and good humored with us. The food is beyond amazing, I even like the spicy things, though I'm a wimp when it comes to them. The sushi and Maki... I go out of my way for it, it's the best I've ever had, same with the gyoza and the crab rangoons. When you're pulling chunks of crab meat out of them, you know their good. I was also mailed two $5 off coupons for my birthday because I go in there so much, what other place does that? I love Dynamite Sushi, and if you go, I'm sure you will too! read more

They have great soup, and their Bento Boxs are fantastic. Its a very quiet atmostphere, so please don't bring kids! We like it quiet there! I work at a restaurant where the outer appearance is deceiving, so I can truly appreciate all the effort that's been put into making the interior an atmosphere that is as comfortable and tasteful as it is. My boyfriend and I went here on our first date, and, being the lovers of sushi that we are, we decided to take a lot of risks in trying new things as we got to know each other. It was a really good environment and everything was very fresh. Both the Miso and Hot and Sour soups were fantastic, and my mind was blown when I realized how well crab, pineapple and coconut can go together. The take out service was horrendous!! I will never attempt to order food from there again. When calling in for the order, I was very unsure if my order was going to be accurate due to the women rushing on the phone. I was told 30mins. I arrived in about 30mins and then waited another 30mins. IN TOTAL one hour for a take out order. While waiting for my food, I acknowledged the lady was frantic. I over heard one of the girls saying our order was messed up. So naturally I wanted to make sure I was receiving what I paid for. Which was NOT the case. When I tried to explain to the lady, this is not what I ordered, I received an attitude. At this point I really just wanted to get out of there. Needless to say I spent $60 on food I didn't order. I was miserable with the wait and the way I was treated. I will not be ordering food from there ever again. read more

VERY helpful when you tell them you have a food allergy! Made sure I only used GF Tamari soy on my table... and the head sushi chef prepped and made all of my sushi in an attempt to ensure no cross contamination. He also took the time to ensure I knew what I could, and could not have from the menu. The sushi was amazingly flavored- expertly prepared and quite frankly the best I've had in a long time. And I had NO reaction to what I ate- which was a huge plus ! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the waitstaff - our waitress seemed like she was without a clue as to how to provide good service. She was spacey, didn't really check in on us very often (which is odd given the small size of this place) and when I requested a wine list she stated they didn't have one and asked if I wanted red or white, but didn't know the brands they had and had to check. She did not return to our table for over ten minutes to advise me what the brands they had were- nor ask which selection I would like. I had to flag another waitress down and ask her instead. read more

The food is good- Really good But everything else is not. The staff here leave a lot to be desired... You get a poor girl serving you while the whole time the owner's wife is berating and belittling her- So not cool. Over the years I've gone in several times- never the same wait staff. It is not relaxed- it is not family oriented- not with the undercurrent of animosity that runs through this place- In fact I would say in my life I never had a worse vibe coming from a place or seen wait staff treated so poorly. Delicious, fresh, wonderful sushi! After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to stop by Dynamite Sushi for lunch while I was in town at a business event. I am so glad I did! I just had the freshest and most amazing sushi of my life (and the miso soup and fried banana I had were wonderful as well!). If you are nearby and like sushi, go to Dynamite Sushi. I have had take out sushi here before and found it to be the best sushi I've had in the Southern NH area. Finding ourselves in the area again last night, my husband and I decided to stop in for a real, dine-in dinner at Dynamite. I will never be back. I have never been so humiliated and treated so poorly at a restaurant in my life. The service here is godawful and the food isn't good enough to make up for it. First, when we arrived, we were hurriedly seated and I had to get up and get my own menu. It took a while to place our order: miso soups, shrimp shumai, a stone bowl and two sushi rolls. Pretty simple stuff. The miso was lukewarm, standard, run of the mill miso that would not have been noteworthy in either direction if it had just been hot. The shumai arrived deep fried and just tossed unceremoniously in a bowl with some deep fried sweet potato. My husband's stone bowl dinner arrived a short time later, he scooped it into his bowl, and he waited....and waited....and waited until I finally told him to eat because it would get cold. It had clearly been sitting for some time because the rice at the bottom was burned and hard. He was 2/3 through his dinner before we saw the waitress again. I asked her where my meal was and she looked at me blankly -- she hadn't put in my sushi order. I told her to forget it, I didn't want to sit and eat alone but she had brought the order to the sushi chef to ask if he had made it. The restaurant is very small and wide open so I heard the conversation, in which he said he would just make it. I went to the sushi counter where they were all conferring and asked them to just forget the order as I did not want to sit and eat alone. He got annoyed and told me he was the owner and he was making it. He was adamant and wouldn't look at me so I asked him to please just pack it up then, so I could eat it at home. He got very mad at me, speaking loudly enough for the whole restaurant to hear him scold me: "You should understand" he kept telling me. They had new waitresses, and two had called in sick, and it wasn't his fault. He NEVER APOLOGIZED to me for our ruined dinner and in fact treated me as though it was my own fault. I sat down, very red in the face, and figured that was it but, a moment later, he reiterated his scolding, louder this time since I was at my table now, and adding "when you're back, if this happens again, I'm the owner, you come find me". So no apology and not even a guarantee that his quality control is high enough that it won't happen again. So I get my doggy bagged dinner and the check. They didn't comp a thing! No apology, no acknowledgement of poor service or any wrongdoing, no comp, and I spent twenty minutes embarrassed and red faced because the OWNER was scolding me, a dissatisfied customer, in front of the other patrons. I took small solace in the fact that it wasn't just us -- the family next to us received awful service as well. But at least they didn't get yelled at. I felt awful for the waitress who was on her fourth day and clearly did not have a supportive boss in the restaurant owner -- she got her 20% tip because I didn't want to punish her for the owner's poor behavior. I can't believe a place like this is able to stay in business -- this guy doesn't deserve to have patrons at his restaurant if he can't treat and respect them like the paying customers they are. So, while it may be the best sushi I've found in NH, I'll take mediocre food any day over being treated like this. read more

They are under new management and have made additions to their menu, such as a full bar and a variety of hot dishes. The spicy basil for example is excellent and bursting with flavor. I was there this past Friday evening, and the place was not busy whatsoever. After being seated, we decided what we were ordering, and waited. And waited. After about 10 minutes, I tried to flag down a waitress and noticed that the wait staff were standing around conversing with each other while tables remained dirty, and customers not served. While two other parties-larger than the one I was in-had been served drinks. This upset me beyond all belief and then proceeded to leave. A waitress came over with no order sheet, stating "oh i was just about to get your order." I am disappointed at the fact that I've heard nothing but great things about this place, but because of the poor service of wait staff i will never be back. read more

Dynamite is.....well......dynamite! The owner "Ho" is always very nice to my family when we visit. We've been going there for years. The service was horrible in the beginning, but Ho's Maki #1 kept me going back. Thankfully the service is much better now. I agree that the hot and sour soup is amazing. Box dinners give you a good variety at a great price too. Those who freak out when they see sushi should try Dynamite too. At least half of the menu offers "cooked" items and not all raw fish. I never hesitate to take relatives or clients. read more

Size to price ratio is mediocre across the board, but the food itself is good if you're okay with the prices. Servers have always been friendly any time I've been there, but service has on several occasions been on the slow side, even when it's not overly busy. The drinks are LOADED with alcohol and will quickly put you on your butt even if you're someone who generally handles their liquor well, so definitely limit yourself to one or two or make sure someone else is driving. Before moving away from the area i use to go here on a weekly basis. I still make trips about once a month north to eat here. The sushi is always fresh and made well. The Dynamite maki is an exceptional roll. They make the BEST host and sour soup i have ever had. Their Korean okdolbibimbab is wonderful when combined with their own red spice sauce. I also recommend their Korean spicy meat (pork, chicken, beef, or bulgoki). The atmosphere of the place has been slowly improved over the years to its current level and always gets touch ups. They display a revolving selection of art on the walls from local artists. The service is always well done and the owner Ho is always found behind the sushi bar. They greet everyone warmly when you enter. I highly recommend trying this place out. read more

This place has gone WAAAY downhill! Tonight's experience was atrocious and we will not be coming back. We arrived when they were slow and asked if they could seat five which they easily could, the hostess/waitress sighed and looked around like it was a big to-do and finally pushed two small tables together for us. It took them over 20 minutes just to bring our drinks which they got wrong the first time and the one alcoholic drink I ordered was straight up water ( martinis don't have water). We asked if our kids could have chopsticks since they only gave the adults chopsticks and they CHARGED US for them!! They never said there was a charge for chopsticks but they stuck it on the bill! This is a Japanese sushi restaurant and they charged us for chopsticks!! The food was subpar, the bulgogi was overly sweet and mushy and the waitress got upset when I asked for siracha sauce and then never came back with it. My fiancé went up to another person to ask for some and she told him to go sit down! We almost walked out a few times with how we were treated and how long everything took. We ended up getting up to ask for our check and didn't even ask aid our leftovers because it wasn't worth it. Horrible service, food sucked, rude staff, extra frivolous charges.. it's safe to say we will never be back. read more

I had gotten takeout a few times and it was pretty good, but when I finally went to eat there it was decent at best. The pieces itself were unevenly-cut and fell apart (not sure if they weren't rolled tightly enough or if it was because of a different reason) and the taste wasn't bad but not great compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. The simple rolls that mainly consisted of fish (as opposed the "special maki rolls" that have sauces and extras on it) tasted very fishy. A couple times when I got takeout I couldn't finish the yellowtail/ tuna rolls because the "fishy" taste was so overwhelming that I thought it had gone bad. Sad to say that my impression and rating of Dynamite went down after dining in and experiencing more of a variety of their rolls. read more

I love this place! The food and service are excellent. It's a bit pricey so I don't go as often as I'd like to but worth it. I've tried many of the items on the menu from the maki to the bowls and it's all fresh and very tasty. You have to try Ho's Renee roll!! I was brought there by a colleague - thanks Harin - and now bring family, friends and colleagues. Everyone loves it! Decor is simple and very clean. It gets busy - even for take out which can be up to 35 minutes. Not horrible once you know to plan for it. read more

Ho and Miya bent over backwards to make me an outstanding custom party platter for my wine group's sake and soy sauce tasting. Crowd-pleaser! Yes, the place is small, yes the service from some of the "youngsters" can be hit or miss, and yes their hot and sour is one of the worst things on the menu, but the rest of the food and the customer appreciation from the owners is a shining example to what all small businesses should strive for. Get to know the owners and staff by being friendly and showing some patience and mutual respect - believe me, they will welcome you like family. read more
