After some recommendations from several work buddies, decided to check out Dynasty this weekend. It was everything they said, and more. First off, nothing fancy, just wide open space and good beer. Andy was our "tour guide" and a terrific one at that! Asked me the right questions to guide me to the perfect beer, in my case, the Sunrider Imperial. Price was right, friendly crew, and plenty of space. Did I mention they are dog friendly? Being a new dog owner, this was a huge plus for me. There were a few other dogs there, all got along well. Hope to come back soon!

Absolutely enjoyed this brewery. From the numerous IPA offerings to the personal attention we received, this place was great! Highly recommended if in Ashburn!

I'm not a beer person, but I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Customer service was great and they have complimentary snacks for patrons. The facility was really neat and not crowded at all. I got the sour of the week and was a fan of my drink! Would definitely recommend to people who are beer enthusiasts.

Dynasty Brewing Co. is the latest entrant into the Northern Virginia craft brewing scene! I visited last weekend for an ale tasting. At the time - they had 5 beers on hand: Dynasty American Lager (4.7% ABV) DynastyFest Lager (5.0% ABV) Dynasty Pale Ale (5.8% ABV) Radio Edit Pale Ale (5.7% ABV) IPA #1 DIPA (8.4% ABV) I'm not a Lager fan, but the Dynasty American Lager is a nice, drinkable beer. I was more of a fan of the Pale Ales and the DIPA. Everyone working here was happy and friendly. I met the owner Travis and chatted with him for a bit about his brewery. He offered to take me on a mini-tour of the facility. I did not have time to do so, but appreciated the offer - maybe next time! There is lots of seating. Dynasty uses the Untappd display system on the wall - so you can see everyone's beer checkins using the Untappd app. Will be interested to see what other beers they come up with! #DynastyBrewingCo

Some of the best beer from the Dulles Corridor section of the LoCO Craftbrew trail. This is also a SUPER dog friendly spot; they give a 10% discount if you want to bring your dog on Sunday. And dogs make excellent drinking buddies! The red IPA, "hands across the water" is outstanding! The staff are super friendly and they'll let you try before you buy. There's a bucket of games and you can play cornhole amongst the brew tanks! Excellent spot to check out! This place is a hidden gem!

Great little brewery! Friendly and informative staff, very welcoming place that feels like it has lots of regulars. Love that they allow dogs inside and outside - great for people like me who sometimes venture out solo with their dog (it can be hard if the dogs aren't allowed inside and you're by yourself- how do you go inside to get a beer)?. I didn't give five stars because the outdoor space could use some work - given the pandemic, they should have more seating and try to make it a little more cozy.

I see the brewery is dog friendly. Are dogs allowed inside? Or, only outside on a patio?

    They're welcome inside!

    Is there food?

Not in the brewery, but there is typically a food truck!

    Is this brewery family friendly?

I stopped by with my 7-year old. Nobody gave us side eye. They have games and sports on TV. Just supervise your children, and it shouldn't be an issue.

    Is the brewery dog-friendly?

Yes! We always welcome our furry friends!

Silent Wings is a Coffee Brown Ale from Honor Brewing out of Sterling, Virginia. As a veteran myself, I have a massive amount of respect for this veteran-owned local outfit. The brew is excellent--smooth and flavorful with a distinct coffee profile. While it was delicious in April, the flavor profile strikes me as a perfect fit for a fall or winter evening. I'll definitely be looking to stock up on this again once the weather cools down. I may never make it out to Sterling but will keep an eye out for the brew!

Our group hung out outside, where they have a large area with campfire pods, which was really nice since it was a little chilly that night. I'm not much of a beer drinker, so I appreciated that they had non-beer options on the menu along with non-alcoholic drinks as well. Emily did an awesome job taking care of our party, especially since we were a pretty large group celebrating a birthday. I'd definitely recommend getting the s'mores basket (it was a big hit with everyone). My mojito was pretty good too. One thing I'd mention is that it's probably better to order directly through your server or at the bar instead of using the QR code ordering system. We tried ordering drinks through the QR code and they never came out, even after waiting around 30 minutes. Thankfully, Emily saved the day and got everything sorted out for us.

Very family friendly, plenty of place to run around and the food comes out quick (no specific kids menu but the grilled cheese was a huge hit). The Director of Operations, Kat, was lovely, came by our table to chat and shared a little more about the makers market they were hosting and some of the special events (Monday bingo night!!) they have going on. The food was not only quick but also delicious -- I will be dreaming about the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls tonight. My uncle was in the mood for a burger which wasn't on the brewery menu but they did have at a food truck outside!! I've been going to breweries in Northern Virginia for over 14 years now and have seen a ton come and go. From Ocelot, to Old Ox, from Adroit Theory to Aslin, Solace, Honor, Route 7, Wheatland Springs, Dominion, Caboose, Crooked Run, Bluemont, Dirt Farm and probably some more. Bottom line - Lark is your average family get together venue, it rivals with Vanish, Dirt Farm and Bear Chase. Tons of room for the fam to run around and play, however - very limited parking space for the amount of seating areas. The service was okay, as someone who has served Beer and Wine for almost 3 years, I totally understand. However the staff was pretty hard to work with. They would stand behind the counter, they don't make eye contact and they don't ask who's next or really know how to engage the customer. They don't seem to be interested in their own beer. At one point there were 7 employees behind the counter while there were 3 -5 people in line. They should have teamed up and taken care of all 3 - 5 people at once. Pro tip: one person can serve multiple people, you don't need 7 people behind the bar. Get them working, you have waaaaay too many employees and barely any of them know what IBU means. For the beer, if you're a person who uses Untappd, I gave the brewery a 3/5. The beers were okay and probably need a lot more time for research. Why is a pilsner extra hoppy? But if you're really looking for a great venue with amazing service and amazing beer? Annnnnd family time? Hit up Wheatland Springs and you will not be disappointed Save yourself some time and money and just go to Ocelot for good beer and for beer and the family go to Wheatland Springs Lark is fairly new to the game but they're pulling the venue vibe card. Dark woods, colored lights stickers, TV playing, music going and the vats for brewing. Walked up and took a seat at the empty bar, arriving minutes after they opened on a Monday. Looked at the tap menu, as well as can for sale. My sister ordered a lemon lime cider and I decided on a Polvo Pils. After that trip to Prague, I will always search out a good pilsner. Ocelot had a wonderful pilsner, served properly. I followed this up with Little Black Book. Can you ever go wrong with a nitro tap beer? The answer is no. So, after two rounds, I was impressed with the beer, definitely better than what I had tasted the previous days. The beertender was attentive, the decor was somewhat eclectic, lots of colored lights strung from the ceiling. Barrels against the wall, as the main beer hall opened up to the production side of the establishment. The pinball room was awesome, wall to wall pinball machines, light flashing, looked like it would really be a happening place at quitting time. All in all it was the best beer experience I had while visiting. Would recommend a stop if you don't want to battle traffic out of IAD at the wrong time of day.
