Spectacular venue; landscape is beautiful and ambience is fantastic! Beer is great and food is excellent! Highly recommended!

This was both my first experience at this brewery and, unfortunately, my last. The view was beautiful, and the wait staff seemed friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn when I ordered a pretzel and began eating it. My friend noticed something on the pretzel and pointed out that there was mold on it. I stopped eating immediately and brought it to the waiter's attention. He was understanding, removed the pretzel from my bill, and asked if I would like something else. At that point, however, my confidence in the food had been shaken. After finding mold on something I had already started eating, I no longer felt comfortable ordering anything else because I was concerned about what other issues might be overlooked. I politely declined. The final surprise came when I received the bill. I had added a tip when paying, not realizing that an 18% service charge had already been included. As a result, my $11 drink ended up costing me approximately $18. While I understand that service charges may be part of a brewery's pricing structure, I would have appreciated clearer communication about the charge before adding an additional tip. Overall, while the atmosphere, view, and staff were pleasant, finding mold on my food and then unexpectedly paying significantly more for a single drink left a very disappointing impression. read more

We were very interested in trying this brewery. White's Ferry has been on Facebook and TikTok so we thought why not....well the only good thing about the brewery was the view. When we arrived there as a sign that read "all day happy hour M-F, 50% off all pints." When asked the guy at the bar said it was only for weekdays not weekends. Mind you we came on a Friday. The beers were sub par, nothing really tasted good. Honestly it all tasted the same. We also ordered food which I think was overpriced. $60 for three burgers and jalapeño poppers. I was also told that the flight, which was $20 for 6 5oz pours was $20.50 would be discounted by 1/2; however the bill did not reflect this. I was informed that it would come off the food but when we got the total there was not itemized list, probably because to hide how much tip was already included. When I went to pay the tab, I was informed that gratuity was already included! I'm not a fan of that at all. I should be able to decide how much to tip. Will not be going back, sorry not good. This place was always popping up on my IG so we had to give it a try today. The place has a nice outside venue with a beautiful view of the Potomac. We went early so there was lots of open seating inside and outside. The staff were extremely friendly, very welcoming and the service was great. Food wise - we ordered the chicken quesadilla, the philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the samosa. Drinks ordered - Foggy Ferry beer and mint lemonade wine slushy mixed with strawberry wine slushy. So the beer was not the best tasting and the egg rolls were not good. I thought breweries are supposed to have good beers. The wine slushy, samosas and chicken quesadilla were good but everything was definitely overpriced. What I didn't like was the automatic 18% gratuity added on to our bill for 2 adults and a child. I've never been to establishment that charge you an automatic 18% when you're not in a large group. It was an ok experience but nothing to rave about. read more

I'm going to break down my review into the various components because I was torn on what to give this brewery. The establishment is a brewery so I feel that they must be rated on their main product - beer - and it was not great. I'd give their beer 3 stars, and all the people I was there with agree it would not prompt us to come back for the beer alone. Food - they have a fairly extensive list of food items prepared in the kitchen next door. We got the white chicken pizza, brisket quesadilla and chicken rolls with a fun Indian flavor twist. The collective favorite were the quesadillas! I'd say the food was 4/5 - I wouldn't come back for the food alone but my in-laws said they would. Ambiance - the interior of the brewery didn't quite feel like a brewery? Felt a little sterile / empty - we were the only people there for over an hour around 3 on a Friday afternoon. The redeeming qualities are really nice staff members - very attentive, like raising the volume in the TV when they noticed we were watching. The views from outside are also really pretty looking out at the river, and would be a nice spot in the summer. Overall; the beer's just not there but their food and views were top notch. read more

Came on a Friday night for a comedy show which was a fun event. Didn't get to see the main tap room and wish we would've seen the outdoor area during the daytime - it looked like pretty views overlooking the Potomac River. I was happy they had several NA beers (Athletic) to choose from. My friends said the beer was good. For food we got a pizza and nachos. I thought the nachos were pretty decent for a brewery but my friend wasn't a fan. Pizza was just okay. read more

Still very new. Currently, It's a kind of soft opening. Think they fully open ... May (don't quote me). That being said the beers were quite good. We were very impressed. I enjoyed the Nutty Nomad and the Midnight Roast. The others were pretty good. The inside area is small, there's an outside covered area. Had a Bear Chase Brewery landscape, which will be very nice for bands etc. They have a decent size food menu. Tried the Mozzarella sticks and the Jalapeño poppers. Both were your average fried type bar food. Nothing outstanding. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back. read more

This place is great and is now on my list of regular rotating breweries I visit. What really makes this place special is the service, great folks with a lot of beer knowledge. I found a favorite after a flight. Food was above average brew food, we had wings and a few other apps, really good. Nice view of the river. Only ding was the app to use to order, but they were great with working around it. I'll be back soon. read more

Service is good they have runners that are on top of it. Beer is nothing to be excited about this place has a long way to go I got flight of 6 beers for $24 none of which tasted that good just below avg brews. 18% added automatically it was hot and its a young crew and they hussle so I paid it not an issue for me but just a heads up. Brisket Quesadilla was good for $18. Philly egg rolls only two for $13 was a let down. Pizza is ok not great. Cool view up a massive hill with steps so get ready for a work out. read more

The only good thing about this place is the view of the Potomac River. Brewery and grounds were just ok- not much ambiance inside or out. The beers we had were okay but the pizza was terrible. The crust was not completely cooked so it was like eating raw dough. The most surprising and annoying thing was the 18% service charge they automatically added to our bill, which they said was a tip and then also added an additional tip to our bill, with none of this being disclosed upfront. We had looked forward to experiencing this brewery but we will never return and give the same advice to our local friends and family. read more

Home Run on the first at bat! First the breath taking scenery will bring you back. Then the greeting at the door to explain how to order was awesome. The service was quick and friendly. Now for the food. The chicken mushroom pizza is AMAZING! Great crust and hearty toppings and perfect for two hungry people or three for sharing. The Belgian Dubbel was solid. Lighter beers need to add body but that comes with time. This is the start or something special! read more

I never write a review, but this time I felt I must. Yesterday, 10 of us went to the brewery. It was a hot day. The food was good. Couple of things bothered me. One was the AC stopped working. I guess they couldn't have done much about it. The second thing that bothered me was that they billed us %18 gratuities twice. It is just that we noticed it, then they acknowledged their mistake and refunded the money. If we didn't notice it, that would have been our loss. It just left a bad taste. When here with my girlfriend on a Friday night and we will be back. We love the location, right off the Potomac, has mini golf and axe throwing (kid friendly) the beer flight was amazing and my girlfriend loved the pineapple seltzer. The area is really nice and this place has a lot of potential, but they're still figuring things out. Beer was good. Was going to play air hockey but there were no pucks. One of the bathrooms had no running water... The food ordered by my group was just not good. In particular, anything with chicken was very dry. Great food. Burgers and pizza are very good. Loved the patty melt and the thick crust pizza. The brisket grilled cheese is amazing. The views plus sitting outside are what cought our eyes and didn't dissapoite. read more

The Mexican Pilsner is awesome. Very kid friendly as well. Highly recommend! Plenty of games for kids (couple mini golf holes, connect four, playing field area, etc). Nice view of the Potomac as well! read more

I'm a brewery snob so this is just one guys opinion. The beer is not good...I'll leave it at that. I don't know if they're a newer brewery and they're just trying to figure out. What really got me though and dropped it to a 1 star. Sneaking a 18% tip into your digital check out. You work for tips, you provide a service. Instead they sneak it in, and still have the audacity to ask for more at the bar and in the bill. If your food, beer and service matched what you're asking, wouldn't be a issue read more

Unfortunately, found they were closed after walking up the hill (even tho during days/hours posted on the website). Would recommend calling ahead before coming out, but no phone# on the website. Be ready for walking up a hill/driveway to get to the building when you go! Will update the rating next time when I can taste the beer. read more

Nice venue at top of hill. Friendly staff. Good stout, good food! We had a delicious chicken quesadilla with salsa & sour cream that we would def order again. They have scan codes at each table for ordering, or the counter is helpful when not busy. A lot of promises in this venue! Hoping for a widened road. They plan to a have a cart bringing elderly & handicapped visitors up to the brewery, but we old folks made it up the steps just fine. We will return! read more
