    Brisket quesadilla

I'm going to break down my review into the various components because I was torn on what to give this brewery. The establishment is a brewery so I feel that they must be rated on their main product - beer - and it was not great. I'd give their beer 3 stars, and all the people I was there with agree it would not prompt us to come back for the beer alone. Food - they have a fairly extensive list of food items prepared in the kitchen next door. We got the white chicken pizza, brisket quesadilla and chicken rolls with a fun Indian flavor twist. The collective favorite were the quesadillas! I'd say the food was 4/5 - I wouldn't come back for the food alone but my in-laws said they would. Ambiance - the interior of the brewery didn't quite feel like a brewery? Felt a little sterile / empty - we were the only people there for over an hour around 3 on a Friday afternoon. The redeeming qualities are really nice staff members - very attentive, like raising the volume in the TV when they noticed we were watching. The views from outside are also really pretty looking out at the river, and would be a nice spot in the summer. Overall; the beer's just not there but their food and views were top notch.

Still very new. Currently, It's a kind of soft opening. Think they fully open ... May (don't quote me). That being said the beers were quite good. We were very impressed. I enjoyed the Nutty Nomad and the Midnight Roast. The others were pretty good. The inside area is small, there's an outside covered area. Had a Bear Chase Brewery landscape, which will be very nice for bands etc. They have a decent size food menu. Tried the Mozzarella sticks and the Jalapeño poppers. Both were your average fried type bar food. Nothing outstanding. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

This place is great and is now on my list of regular rotating breweries I visit. What really makes this place special is the service, great folks with a lot of beer knowledge. I found a favorite after a flight. Food was above average brew food, we had wings and a few other apps, really good. Nice view of the river. Only ding was the app to use to order, but they were great with working around it. I'll be back soon.

Home Run on the first at bat! First the breath taking scenery will bring you back. Then the greeting at the door to explain how to order was awesome. The service was quick and friendly. Now for the food. The chicken mushroom pizza is AMAZING! Great crust and hearty toppings and perfect for two hungry people or three for sharing. The Belgian Dubbel was solid. Lighter beers need to add body but that comes with time. This is the start or something special!

When here with my girlfriend on a Friday night and we will be back. We love the location, right off the Potomac, has mini golf and axe throwing (kid friendly) the beer flight was amazing and my girlfriend loved the pineapple seltzer. The food was the best part of our trip, everything was so good, our favs were the mango vindaloo wings, the peperoni pizza and those amazing indian egg rolls. will be back with the family soon, loved our visit

    The bar area.

The fish and chips are stellar. The location is very quaint, sitting on the Potomac river. Just saw 13 deer run across the parking lot. Great place to hang out and have a beer.

View of the brewery from where you park (no cars up the hill)

Unfortunately, found they were closed after walking up the hill (even tho during days/hours posted on the website). Would recommend calling ahead before coming out, but no phone# on the website. Be ready for walking up a hill/driveway to get to the building when you go! Will update the rating next time when I can taste the beer.

I'm glad we picked this brewery since it had all amenities we were looking for. They have a good selection of food and tons of very reasonably priced drinks. They also have food trucks outside that serve food till 6 pm. The brewery is open till 10 pm and last call is at 9 so no one is rushing people out at sunset. There was also a wedding the day we were there which was so lovely! We got tacos and hot dogs which were great. We also got the dreamsicle frose and a bunch of beer flights to try. We sat inside earlier in the day when it was hotter since the dogs would be uncomfortable in the heat but at 5'pm the weather got real nice so we moved outdoors. They also have an alpaca which the kids went crazy for and also lots of goats. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time outdoors with the option of moving the party indoors if needed. They also have live music indoors which we really enjoyed.

We had decided on hot dogs and a pretzel. It was more than filling and tasty. All beef hot dogs and the additions were self serve with so many of Roger's own mustards fixins it was hard to choose. Later we learned that the horseradish was one a friend even raised the horseradish, dried it and powdered it for Roger. I've been going to breweries in Northern Virginia for over 14 years now and have seen a ton come and go. From Ocelot, to Old Ox, from Adroit Theory to Aslin, Solace, Honor, Route 7, Wheatland Springs, Dominion, Caboose, Crooked Run, Bluemont, Dirt Farm and probably some more. Bottom line - Lark is your average family get together venue, it rivals with Vanish, Dirt Farm and Bear Chase. Tons of room for the fam to run around and play, however - very limited parking space for the amount of seating areas. The service was okay, as someone who has served Beer and Wine for almost 3 years, I totally understand. However the staff was pretty hard to work with. They would stand behind the counter, they don't make eye contact and they don't ask who's next or really know how to engage the customer. They don't seem to be interested in their own beer. At one point there were 7 employees behind the counter while there were 3 -5 people in line. They should have teamed up and taken care of all 3 - 5 people at once. Pro tip: one person can serve multiple people, you don't need 7 people behind the bar. Get them working, you have waaaaay too many employees and barely any of them know what IBU means. For the beer, if you're a person who uses Untappd, I gave the brewery a 3/5. The beers were okay and probably need a lot more time for research. Why is a pilsner extra hoppy? But if you're really looking for a great venue with amazing service and amazing beer? Annnnnd family time? Hit up Wheatland Springs and you will not be disappointed Save yourself some time and money and just go to Ocelot for good beer and for beer and the family go to Wheatland Springs Lark is fairly new to the game but they're pulling the venue vibe card. Service 2/5 Beer 3/5 Venue 4/5 (Live music outside would take it further)

Countryside and rolling hills on a windy road, what isn't awesome about that? Decent amount of beers available, I believe 13 in total. I don't do seltzers or any of that so I can't count those.
