No not the caliber of players, no not the music genre... it's the volume! Three times we've been with friends and the volume inside is almost an assault on the ears (.. and my wife says I'm hard of hearing!). We love, love, love live music. Local artists? Incredible! But, for the volume of the music to become the focus of the day, you'd best be The Rolling Stones! We may have come out to hear someone play, but most importantly we've visited to share good times with our friends, catch up, and laugh. The music should bring ambiance, NOT be the focus - for us its kinship, beer and socializing, which we cannot do with the volume of the music so loud. We will continued to visit Old 690 but will stay away if they have entertainment indoors.

We plan to come back because the rest of the staff was friendly and the place has a good ambiance.

They had a great (but not overwhelming IYKYK) draft list. The owner and beertender were so kind and helpful. I appreciate their guidance on my annoyingly intense dislike of all hazy, juicy, or milkshake-y beers. Just stop. Also, a surprising amount of space within the brewery from what you expect from outside. Hung out and worked in the loft which I highly recommend for study groups or non-study groups. But then I joined everyone else outside in the fantastic set up: a food truck, generous amount of seating, great conversation with locals, and such a talented singer/songwriter performing. Very happy I visited on a Friday. Truly disappointed that this gem of a place isn't in my neighborhood. I would be a regular to the nth degree!

Sadly, I made another $8 for a 2nd round of the 1/2 hour. Lesson learned - next time! There's standard bar finger food and pizza - decent, filling, not quite a culinary experience. The Garlic Fingers were okay. The Dirty Crisps were tasty with kettle chips topped with ricotta cheese, prosciutto, pesto, and hot honey. There's also a food truck on site selling Mexican food as well and my friend enjoyed her 3 tacos for $10. Excited to come back for some cider, accompanying bar food, and breathtaking views! If a manager is a reason this - I think it would be very useful to add additional umbrellas to the lower decks so that patrons will stay longer. It just gets way too hot sitting by an uncovered table. It's "self service" and you order at the counter and pick up your food. They have many options for beers. I think the only non- alcoholic option was cokes. We ordered the cheese pizza which was fine. I mean you don't really come here for the food- it's more about the view , vibe and drinks. Although they did have a great food truck the day we went that sold smash burgers and fries which was really nice. The bathrooms are clean - although one of the soap dispensers and taps were not working. Also- they ran out of paper towels to dry your hands. I think it was just very busy when we went. I did appreciate that they had a stool in the bathrooms for younger kids - which is very helpful. I did see many patrons brought their dogs which is quite nice that you can enjoy some drinks and food with your furry friends. My kids just loved it there. They could run around on the grass and roll down the hills. Like I said - it's just such a great vibe. They also had a band playing which was really nice. However the tasting room more than made up for it. Cozy, charming and good people watching. In the winter there appears to be cute little wood burning stove inside. I saw that they used Real Solo stoves burning actual wood. Not some sad propane fire pit -- actual crackling fires. That kind of detail tells you everything about how this place operates. I love a good camp fire! The wines were genuinely good, and the staff made the experience even better. Super helpful with recommendations and clearly know their stuff when it comes to guiding you through the selections. There is pizza. It's available, but it didn't really deliver on quality -- stick to what they do best, which is the wine. If you are not in the tasting room, you can bring your own food. We LOVED the cats that casually wandered (snuck) into the tasting room like they lived in the place. They were super friendly and would walk past. On a clear day I imagine the outdoor space with those views and a real wood fire is pretty unbeatable. We'll definitely be back when the weather cooperates.

They offered flights, bottles, food, homemade goodies to include their truffles which we sampled (the dark chocolate raspberry and the white chocolate blueberry were our favs) and some of their flatbread which was yummy (4.3/5). My Sissy shared a bottle of their celebration sparkling wine which was pretty tasty with just enough sweetness (4.1/5). They offer separate quarters for larger parties as well.
