Okay this restaurant is not that bad, but let me tell you something you need to have in mind. This year for prom my date and I chose to go to Dynasty for lunch. We live 2 hours away. They took so long to wait on us, and when they did, they took us to the table, didn't ask for our drinks, we had to get up to ask for them. Then...when they gave us our bill, guess what happened? They charged us 2 extra people. There where only two people there, my date and I. So the bill was like $43. We were like are you serious? We are in our 60's and get a 10% discount as senior citizens. We eat there during the week and on occasion on Sunday. The food is always hot for the hot and fresh. They keep things filled too. For the price of a couple of fast food meals we get shrimp, chicken, pork, mushrooms, ice cream, cheese cake, salads, pudding, salmon, crayfish, clams and other things. They will do a stir fry for you too. It's clean and we've never left hungry. If you don't like Chinese you should still be able to find plenty of other things to eat. I recently returned to the QCA area with my fiancee and our to children after my father past on. We are living in the Aledo Illinois area and wanted a good Chinese buffet to eat at. I remember the Dynasty Buffet on Elmore, in Davenport as having the freshest and most abundant variety of any buffet I had been to almost anywhere. Boy did they have more than I remembered....... They have added food poisoning with salmonella to the menu. I was disappointed in the lack of freshness, the curt service, the slow removal of the dirty dishes, and the general lack cleanliness of the establishment. My fiancee and our two children (ages 5 and 8) were already getting ill by the time we were ready to leave. We felt as if we were being "pushed out" the door so as not to be seen by the other guests. soon after my daughter and son began throwing up in the restrooms. My fiancee was also having sever stomach cramping and nausea. We returned home and after a bit we went to the E.R. to get checked out. The attending physician did blood test and cultures and confirmed the findings. He stated there was definitive proof as to the illness we were experiencing. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING to this restaurant EVER. They have disgusted me out of $43.00 and change and I will find another place to enjoy with my family. I will not be recommending Dynasty Buffet on Elmore in Davenport to anybody, ever. The only people I might recommend this establishment to would be the IOWA DEPARTMENT of Public Health. read more

buffets always seem to have subpar food but they're really pushing the limits on edible/inedible

The food is alright....about as good as any other Chinese buffet. Not the freshest food, but you get what you pay for I guess. Good if you want a decent Chinese buffet. read more

This place is my go to lunch Chinese buffet the food is not the best in the world but it does the trick for 8$ on a weekday lunch. I love their dumplings and the sushi here is good enough. The service is very nice and I never see the bottom of my drink. read more

We have eaten there for many years. The kids always pick Dynasty to eat. We live in Illinois but drive into Iowa just to eat here. Well worth it and price is good. Food is really good and huge selection. They also have a bar that you pick your meat and veggies take it to the grill and it's cooked fresh with what you want in it! This is the place where I found out people actually discriminate their own race. Don't even ask for eel at the sushi bar if you are not white or you don't give tips. Customers shouldn't have to pay for their employees' salary. I totally understand and agree to pay the waitress, but refuse to pay someone who was hired to stand at the counter to provide service. I really have no idea what is it since I have to argue with that guy every time I went. I was told there was no more, but when I came back a few min later I saw him give out the whole plate of eel. Never eat here. I went in for the dinner buffet one night with my husband, 2 kids and 2 friends. I never received the beverage I ordered, when I asked for it repeatedly. Still got charged for it. Most of the food was gross and many items looked like they had been sitting out all day. It's pretty bad when the grocery store down the street has better Chinese food. read more

This buffet off a lot of different entree's, however their name totally describes their food. You leave feeling like you will "Die- nasty"

Its a buffet, that said, its the BEST buffet in all of davenport. The place is usually busy during lunch hour for a reason, cause its GOOD. Food is hot, CRAB RAnGOONS' ARE HUGE!(unlike some places, wink wink dragon palace). Staff is fast and friendly, LOTS of seating so there usually isn't a wait to be seated. Plus its very close to the Movie Theater, great place to stop in before or after a movie. $13 after the lunch special ends for an adult is a little much for this Walmart employee, but once a month I allow myself the treat. Also I try to go during the lunch hour because its a few dollars cheaper. read more

Had the worst experience ever today!!! It was my kids first communion and decided to take them out to eat to Dinasty. I hated when the waiter...if you can call them that pushes you to leave the place after 30mins of been there and since we were a group of 10 people they charge us 10% gratuity!! which I never of such thing!!! I complain because I should be the one who decide how much I want to give!! Now that I think about it I should not even give them anything...they don't serve me food like a restaurant waiter/waitress!! Everytime I would go there I would give them 15%_-20% tip!! NOT ANYMORE!!! More then anything I really that they started speaking in their language between them instead of speaking to me directly!! They definitely ruin our day!!! I hate how dishonest they are..Watch for the hidden gratuity!! Also, I just found out from a friend that his friend works there.. he cooks so he was going to give him a tip but his friend said not to give him anything because all that money in jar is taken by the owner!!
