Much like Rex R, my guy and I found this place on our way home from Atlantic City. We were both starved and hungover and in dire need of some diner food, stat. Low and behold, we came across the Dynasty Diner after driving for a couple of miles into Tuckerton. Our waitress was such a sweetheart (I cannot remember her name, considering my physical state, but she was such a doll). My guy ordered a cheeseburger, which he wolfed down in about three bites, and I treated myself to the Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was freshly prepared and homemade, instead of being made from a mix. Our food came out wicked-fast, too. A definite plus when you're ravenous. The last few times I've eaten here, the food was just meh. Well, seems they stepped it up! I got the eggplant parm with pasta and a soup. The vegetable soup was very good. The eggplant parm was a HUGE plate (definitely had leftovers for the next day). Very good. A little watered down sauce but hey, for a diner, it's pretty good. My mother loved her chicken avocado wrap and her french fries were amazing. Perfectly crisped. My boyfriend's BLT was scarfed up and his side of onion rings were perfection. Running errands in the area, stopped in for dinner. Stuffed pepper soup was delicious, I had the beef stew- ample portion , beef tender, chunky fresh veggies! My husband had the meat loaf & mashed potatoes- again good sized portions (enough extra for sandwiches the next day).. fresh made coffee hit the spot. Waiter personable not bothersome. I had brunch at the Dynasty diner the other day. Our, order was all wrong and since I had the gastric sleeve my doctor gave me a card given me permission to order off the kids menu however, our server told me they don't honor those cards and that I can't order from the kids menu. We, asked to speak to the manager again we explained about my surgery and showed her the card and she proceeding to tell us they won't allow me to order from the kids menu and got angry with us. Went for breakfast. He ordered over medium and I ordered an omelette with onions, mushrooms and cheese. His over medium were so undercooked it was gross. My omelette was also undercooked and contained onions, peppers and cheese. I hate peppers. The toast was burnt. It wasn't crowded, just sloppy, with slow service. Arrived in time for Early Bird dinner. My wife ordered Prime Rib. It was huge. Usually Early Bird is smaller. She said it was delicious. Came with soup or salad Potato & vegetable. We went there a few months ago for breakfast and it was delicious. It came hot to the table and we said that we'll be back for sure. Then we went for Father's day breakfast. We were a party of 10. All of our breakfasts were from lukewarm to cold. It was horrible. Very disappointing. OK, then we figured, well...it was busy. Which actually was not really an excuse. We waited a very long time and we were all hungry and again, because it was Father's day and our waitress was pretty nice, we said 'oh well'. Yesterday we were there at 2 PM. It was not really that busy. I ordered a Bloody Mary..it was thin and not done well. Hubby ordered liver and onions, it was supposed to come with Salad, Potato & Vegetable with Basket of Bread with Butter. We had to ask for the vegetable and never mind the bread and butter. My French Dip came on a hard roll (it did say it on the menu) I found that very odd, but the roast beef was very dry and it was not very tasty. Our other party was not happy with their food either. Happy Mother's Day. I'm at a loss for words after the disgraceful experience I just had at the Dynasty Diner in Tuckerton, NJ. Which was my families favorite restaurant to visit. In summary... The service was mediocre The bill was incorrect The bill had 20% gratuity added to the total, which wasn't noted on the bill. Maybe it was noted on the bill, but the bill was handwritten and sloppy so nobody could read it The woman up from flat out refused to help us understand the check We were told we were in the way 2x while trying to pay Here's the detailed version.... First I want to make it clear we went well before the dinner rush, there was maybe 5 other tables sat when we got there. We were a party of 10. 6 adults, 4 kids and the baby attached to me. So a party of 10 1/2 I guess? I'll look past the slow service (which there's no excuse for since the place was empty and there were multiple servers) (Also, the 4 kids should have gotten dessert with their meals ..) Everything shifted when it came time to pay. It never bothered me that they think it's 1950 and still hand wrote the check on a tiny piece of paper... until today. The check was not even remotely close to legible, and because we were trying to split between 3 families (we were all paying cash) we were trying to make heads or tails out of the bill. The bill was incorrect. We were charged for a meal we didn't order. And the prices on multiple items were incorrect. We tried adding the bill multiple times and the numbers were drastically off from the total. We went to the woman at the front to see if she could help us understand the bill, and adjust the errors. I tried to tell her the bill wasn't correct and we were trying to make heads or tails out of it. Immediately she cut us off, told us we couldn't split the bill. (Mind you we are all paying with cash, which I also clearly said but i guess she was too caught up in her attitude to hear me) she continued to say we should have asked for him to split the bill in the beginning. She also said she wasn't going to help us and we had to ask the waiter. Who was MIA. She then told us to move because we were in the way and standing near someone's food... that was just sitting at the bar by itself? Anyway, 4 of the adults and the baby (myself included) kindly moved out of the way from the random abandoned food and the other adults took the other tiny humans to the car. We stood at the empty bar trying to figure out the illegible bill by ourselves. Then a man that also worked there came over to us and instead of offering help, since we were clearly struggling, told us to move again because we were in the way. So we just said "fuck it" essentially and threw in enough cash between our three families to pay the $188 bill. Plus the $40 tip for the waiter. But wait, there's more. At this point I'm obviously furious so I decided to go home to calculate everything to the best of my ability. while looking at the menu in the tiniest font possible on the very last page it says "20% Gratuity Added to Parties of 6 or More". So the waiter got a 20% tip on an inaccurate check PLUS an additional 20% on that total. I am not one to knock a restaurant for shitty service. We're all human here. But when mistakes are clearly made and instead of offering assistance or even an explanation we're returned with attitude and disrespect- I'm calling them out. Kindness goes a long way. Like Bob Dylan's never ending tour, our never ending tour of New Jersey's diners continue. We get down to Tuckerton frquently at this time of year. Yet we have never dropped by The Dynasty. Until recently when we visited twice in one week. A quick note on the service here. Very friendly servers seem to be the norm. On our last visit, our server noticed aloud that there were three generations at the table-me, my Dad and my son. An excellent observation and much appreciated by the three of us. We enjoy our adventures together and it's nice when people notice. Ok, enough of that. The food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. Nothing complicated. Good omelettes, corned beef hash, chicken fingers/fries. Excellent coffee. No reason to complain. If you're in the area and need a diner fix, do stop in. read more

We found this place, like other reviewers, driving home from AC...feeling HUNGRY! The bf had the "Giant" omelet (Bacon, sausage, ham and cheese) as well as coffee. He said they were both good, standard diner fare. I had the chicken club- it was just okay, the breading had an odd flavor to me, but it was a good sized portion with yummy Cole slaw, pickle, and fries (the fries weren't great, no flavor, pale color). The service was adequate, the waitress was curt while still appearing polite. Not too many choices in the area, so if you're in need, give it s try. This Diner was my savior! The first lady and I were on the road back from Atlantic City and thanks to the wonderful age of technology, we found this great diner off the Garden State Parkway. Hot cakes, bacon and eggs were just what we needed to cure our hang overs and prepare for the grueling road back to the Empire State. It was true diner roulette as the deal was that we were just going to blindly stop at the next place we stumbled upon. No GPS.No Yelp. Just try a random place. The food (eggs, bacon, standard breakfast fare) was well-executed and very good for 7:00 Sunday morning. Nothing stand-out, but just what we were looking for - solid Jersey diner food. I base diner breakfast on the breakfast potatoes, and Dynasty's were nicely sautéed in butter and onions. Solid and good! Based on the food, I'd rate Dynasty 3 stars. The 4th star was granted solely based on the exceptional, warm, and attentive service that we received when we were seated in Linda's section. Was not worth the trouble of hearing their excuses, after watching the staff I understand that help is hard to find especially during this pandemic. I was walking into the Dynasty diner with a Dunkin' Donuts coffee I just purchased next door and the rude manager said "we do not allow outside drinks in our diner, there's a sign on the door and DO SELL DRINKS HERE". How rude! Is that the way you greet a customer. Maybe a different approach would of been better like " Good morning, I'm so sorry but we don't allow outside drinks. Please feel free and finish your drink and we can seat you immediately"' It just set us off on the wrong foot. We went to the diner for breakfast this morning. We were greeted with a smile and sat at a booth by the window. Eric was our server and he was attentive and courteous. Our food came out fresh, hot, and fast. Everything was delicious we had the cream chipped beef and French toast with a side of pork roll, both meals were outstanding. This is my favorite hometown eatery. I love how clean the restaurant is and the wait staff is always efficient and attentive. It doesn't matter what you order here, I've had everything from waffles to burgers, and from Reubens to prime rib. I've never been disappointed with any order, everything comes to the table fresh whether it be a hot or cold dish. If your feeling under the weather their homemade soups will do the trick. I've been here often this past year. The food is always hot and fresh and fairly good for diner food. I've had some truly sub-par food at diners before but never at Dynasty. I recommend the Greek wrap - it's SOO good! And the food - as at most diners - is really enough for 2 people or 2 meals so it's priced fairly too. Also, their soups are homemade, and you can taste the difference. It's really good! The tables are always clean and the seating area away from the breakfast bar is actually pretty nice. Especially as it looks out on Main Street in the historical section of Little Egg. All the waiters I've had have been friendly and quick with the food (except once when we just went in to get coffee and cake, then, oddly, we had to wait longer than normal). The only thing I'd change: often, when we first step into the diner, the hostess is talking to a waitress/bus boy behind the counter. They tend to finish what they're saying before taking notice of their customers, which isn't professional at all. However, after you've been there a couple times, they start to recognize you and are more friendly. Little Egg is a small town where people usually know who you are and if they don't, you are treated a little differently. Besides that, they're pretty casual here so I think it's more a matter of them just behaving like humans rather than retail/restaurant automatons. read more

The manager who is at the front is EXTREMELY rude to staff and customers. I've eaten here twice and I've over herd her say some almost offensive things to the employees. The last time I was here ( it's been months now) I was in seated at booth right by the register. The woman whom I'm speaking about was talking to employees about an elderly woman whom walked through the door. She said she seats her in the back because "she smells and would never put her customers through that". I glanced over to see whom she was speaking of and the woman clearly had some type of mental issues. It was sickening to hear this come out of a professional mouth. I asked my server about the manager and come to find out that she is the owner's sister. I was quite polite on my way out she never acknowledged us asked us if we enjoyed our meal any of the above. She just grabbed the money out of my hand made no eye contact gave me my change and walked away. Honestly most of this I could have been overlooked but the professionalism is 100% lacking. Oh I forgot to mention that while she speaking of this woman I had my two daughters with me who are young and impressionable. Will never return. read more

Good breakfast and desserts. Their specials are okay, had the prime rib and turkey dinners. Prime rib isn't the best around but it beats cooking it myself. I come here regularly once a week give or take and get the same thing every day. Today they decided to change the menu and didn't tell me so when I got my food it was a complete surprise that literally half of it was missing. She said we had a menu change and ur coffee is included but it reduced in size drastically by half. I had one piece of toast with 1 poached egg and avocado spread on the toast with a few grape tomatoes that's it. I don't know how that would fill anyone. It normally comes with 2 toasts with avocado and 2 poached eggs. Thanks for one piece of toast & 1 egg basically and charging me $7.45 for it. That is just a cheap thing to do to ur customers reducing the sizes of the meals by half & it was only $1 dollar cheaper then regular price. I would rather pay for the dollar coffee and get the rest of my breakfast. Then they ran out of muffins at 10:30am. Guess I'll just be going to wawa & John & Sonya Luncheonette from now on.
