I'm writing to share some feedback about a recent experience I had at your store. I recently…read morevisited with the intention of purchasing a sewing machine, but was unable to complete the transaction at the time due to not having my ID. I understood the policy and appreciated the staff following procedures. Later, I called to check on the availability of the machine, but was disappointed to learn it had sold. What concerned me more, however, was the tone and manner in which I was treated during the call. Rather than being offered assistance or alternative options, I felt dismissed and that my interest as a customer was not valued. The person that took my call was the owner. She had just said how she wanted to attract some newer clientele at her sew Fair. I believe in supporting local businesses and would have appreciated a more helpful and welcoming approach--such as being invited to return and explore other options. Instead, the interaction left me feeling discouraged from returning. When Walmart and other stores offer so many other financing options one would think you would be appreciative of potential new clients. I know 2000 or 2500 isn't a lot to many but to me it was a big deal. I am a wife, a mother and a teacher and someone who did sales for over 10 years. A good customer is a returning customer. To add up until calling to acquire about the availably of my machine the customer service i received was amazing. The two men that helped me were extremely knowledgeable and a wealth of knowledge. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope it will be taken constructively. Every time I walk in they help me troubleshoot my issues (invariably user error or routine maintenance I've neglected) with grace, and often no charge at all. Their staff - to a person - is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. Pricing is fair. I've willingly paid a bit more for the occasional part bc it's worth it to keep shops like this in business. (Yeah, maybe I could get it from Amazon for a bit less, but Amazon sure isn't gonna help me find the part, much less TEACH me why my machine is jamming up and making me absolutely INSANE ...) ALSO have a great little fabric & findings store - selection & quality better than you'll find at the big box stores. But that's really the icing on the cake. The exemplary staff is the value here.

I had the belt on a 30 year old GE dryer go bad and the dryer was rattling and grinding very…read moreloudly. The Simply Service technician arrived on time and thoroughly disassembled the dryer, identified and showed me the belt assembly that needed to be ordered, then I paid the standard first visit diagnostic fee (about $130) and was assured I would be called right before the holiday once the part arrived to schedule the actual repair. When I did not receive a call back as promised, I called the technician to find out if he was able to locate the part and obtain it. He confirmed that he had the part and we scheduled the repair. The technician arrived for the repair as scheduled. He spent an hour installing and adjusting the new belt assembly, but the grinding noise would not go away. He then told us it now appeared the roller assembly would also need to be replaced and he would have to order that part for an additional charge and come back to complete the repair after the holiday. He then charged full payment for the estimate of installation of the belt assembly. This caused me some angst because the repair was not yet complete and I had seen a bad Yelp review from a couple years ago where the technician never returned after receiving full payment for all labor and ordering of additional parts. After additional discussion, I paid him in full and trusted him to return to complete the repair because I had used him successfully before. Fortunately, he did not disappoint me and returned after the holiday and installed the roller assembly. Since Thanksgiving, six months later, my dryer is quiet and still working well. Although the total cost of the repair doubled to $300 (more than original estimate), I am still happy because $300 for a very reliable old dryer is still considerably cheaper than $800 for a brand new fancy (but less durable) new dryer.
