DYSON vacuum sales and service just gave me the best service I have ever experienced. I took my vac in for a 'free' health check-up and needed advice about the pedal which was jammed. I had taken it apart myself and reversed two parts thinking that the jam would cure the issue. It did not. It was an easy fix and could have been easily undone. I explained that the last service I took it to, while it was under warranty, was a quick fix by the repairman snapping the jammed part 'back in place'. They told me the entire undercarriage was broken, and would cost $144.50 parts & labor (the entire undercarriage was a single part). I told them not to go there, I could not afford it, but that if they would show me where the piece fit in I could fix it myself. The machine is discontinued. They could not tell me how the part fit in. However, they decided that since the last repair was not done correctly that they would forego parts and labor cost and fix my machine for free. Needless to say they have a customer for life. I will forever buy my vacuums there, and get them repaired there, even though I drove 30 miles to their store. read more

My wife and I were on our way from Brooklyn to Montauk for the day and decided to drop our vacuum off along the way. I assumed that it would be a multiple day affair and was ready to be told to come back a week or so later and pick it up. Instead, I was told it would be ready in a few hours. Surprised, I explained we were on our way to Montauk and couldn't pick it up before the end of the day. Not a problem. I was told they'd ship it back to me...for free. What-the-wha?! Flash forward to later in the day. I received a call saying that the vacuum was ready and that it wasn't a big job, so they just waived the fee. WHAT-THE-WHA?! So, they serviced the vacuum for free and shipped it back for free? Holy cow! When I mentioned I was happy to pay, they just said, "if you write a Yelp review, that'd be nice". Done! I can't recommend this place enough. Because of that single experience, I have already recommended them to a friend and will GLADLY go out of my way to have our vacuum serviced there again. They have added a loyal customer for as long as we own a Dyson. read more

I had the best experience at the Dyson repair center!!!! Not knowing what to expect and being upset that I had a problem with a $500.00 vacuum in less than 2 years, I entered the center that was easily found with my GPS with the thought that I would be talked into buying another vacuum at a discounted rate or told my vacuum wouldn't be covered under warranty. Boy was I wrong! An extremely nice fellow with a reserved demeanor listened to my complaint and quietly took the vacuum into the back area. My vacuum hose was not picking up to its capacity and a plastic piece was broken holding the canister to the upright. Within a very short time he returned and quietly handed me back my vacuum. The hose worked and he replaced the top part that holds the cannister. NO QUESTIONS, NO EXCUSES, NO SALESPITCH, NO CHARGE. He just smiled at me and said Happy Holidays. Thank you kind repair person at the Dyson Center! I will definitely consider buying another Dyson (maybe one of those slim jobs that hang on the wall) Dyson really does stand behind it's products! read more

Although I had to call twice for directions, I made it to the service center 15 minutes before closing. It appears that I had noted the helpline call hours instead of the store hours, so I was surprised to find out that nothing could be done for my Dyson before Monday. At the point that we were getting ready to leave, Rich came out of the back and said he would take a look at the vacuum. This was a brand new Dyson that I had used only once and I had no suction. Being very inept at mechanics, I had no idea how to clear the clog and didn't want to make it worse. Rich found a rubber band to be causing the clog and cleared it in five minutes. Even though they were closing, he took the time to show my husband how to disassemble the necessary parts in order to clear any future clogs. His attitude was wonderful and I have to say this is the best service I have gotten anywhere in a long time. My husband offered him a tip for his service, which he refused. He is really an asset to the company and I hope that he is rewarded for his excellence. read more

This is the only service center around here (Long Island)so they could take advantage of that fact as other businesses have been known to do but no.....They don't do that. Quite the contrary. They are the nicest, most helpful service people I've ever dealt with. They are ver nonchalant about anything you bring them. I've taken 3 Dysons there, thinking they were done. Not so: 1 he took in the back fixed it (clogged) and returned my machine cleaner and working great- All within a few minutes. Next time I thought my Dyson animal was done and they said no, just needed a part and explained how I could get it. They again evaluated my machine, said it was fine. It would be so easy for them to tell me to buy another which they can sell me but they don't unless you really Need a new one. Because of these guys, I am a Dyson user for life. I purchased my Dyson Canister from Rich. My Dyson lost its suction power. I cleaned the base, checked the hoses and still could not get it to work. I needed help so, I called up Rich to schedule an appointment to drop my vacuum off to be repaired. To my surprise, Rich said if I came in before 4 pm he could take a look at it and I didn't need an appointment. I went down to see him. He didn't recognize me and I was still greeted with a hearty hand shake and smile. I explained everything I did. He told me sit back, relax and he would take a look at it. He came back 12 min later with my Dyson in hand. He explained that the vacuum head was malfunctioning and it was covered under warranty. I couldn't believe his honesty. I could gone some place else and probably would've been hit over the head with a fee, not this time. If you want a to deal with an honest and reputable dealer, then you have come to the right place. After calling Dysons Customer Service line I was hesitant that my AirWrap may not be able to be repaired, however they did advise me to stop into my closest repair store directly. I took the chance and made a trip out here and was walking out of the center within 30 minutes with my repaired machine!!! I did not realize it could be repaired on the spot. I want to especially thank Ben and his partner who also was there so much for giving me an in-expensive experience leaving me happy! Their knowledge, expertise, and willing to work with me in the situation I was in left me blown away. I did originally call the service center directly in advance to inquire about the process of mailing in my AirWrap but they did explain they were a little backed up with turn around times for mail in orders because they only have 2 people there doing repairs all day.... Dyson - give these guys some more employees or at least a raise because they deserve it! read more

Was recently forced to realize that my beloved Dyson Animal was nearly 19 years old. After speaking with telephone customer service they could only recommend taking it to this service center. I cannot tell you how much I was not looking forward to this visit. As soon as we entered with the vacuum, Rich approached to help us. He explained that the Animal is no longer supported, which means that parts are no longer sold. I was then so pleasantly surprised when he offered to look at it, free of charge, to see if a part would be required. He suggested we take a seat that he'd be back in a few minutes. He looked at it right then! Unfortunately it could not be fixed, but Rich went right on to explain the sizable discount offered to existing Dyson customers on new products. Our old Dyson suddenly died on us after years of cleaning up after two adults, three dogs and a child. RIP. Luckily, we saw the trade-in promotion at the the Dyson Service Center. It's good to know the old boy is going to be recycled and be put to good use. Once there we were greeted by Jason who was super helpful and patient with us. He was able to see right away that we were still under warranty by looking the model and serial number, though it was about to expire. He talked us through the trade-in promotion, the pros/cons of the various models and the discounts that would be applied. We were able to test each model and with Jason's help figure out which would best suit us. Walked out with new vacuums and definitely saved $$$ than had we bought them anywhere else. Definitely recommend coming here to service or replace existing Dysons. The savings and customer service is worth the trip here. read more

My stick was not sucking and it was making a whining sound. I brought it there after speaking with Danny on the phone. I walked in and within less than a minute a gentleman came over, and asked the problem. I told him He took the stick from me, turned it on, He heard the whining, and pulled out the filter. He said the filter is clogged. Now I had expected to spend like over $100, and this man is telling me it's a clogged filter. He took it in the back with him and came back and showed me the filter. Sure enough, an embarrassment. He disappears again and comes back with my stick. Turns it on and it is sounding brand new!! I am so excited! THEN he says have a great day! What?! Wait! How much?! Super fast repair service with professionalism. After dropping off my Dyson DC39 Multi-floor vacuum to fix the main handle about 2 hours prior to closing on President's Day weekend, I expected that the vacuum would not be serviced until about 1-2 business days later. To my surprise, this center got it done within minutes after I had left. Literally, the first email notification stated I dropped it off. The date timestamp on the follow-on email, stating that the service request is completed, came 1 minute afterwards. This place went well above my expectations. Kudos for the expediency and recognition to get the job done fast, even though hardly any personnel seemed to be around due to the holiday weekend. Since the service, my Dyson has been operating as it originally did. So, if you want fast service on your Dyson with positive results, this place is THE place to go. read more

I received an email notifying me that the new Dyson service center will do free health checks on my Dyson machine. I brought both of my Dyson vacuum cleaners on 8/5/2014 and Brad tested both machines. The newer vacuum needed some sort of hose assembly. Brad checked the date of the machine and said that it was still under warranty so I didn't have to pay for any repairs. The older vacuum needed a new belt and brush bar. Jason installed the new parts in my machine and it runs great. The total cost was $42 for everything. Jason and Brad were very professional and helpful. What I liked best of all is that they didn't try to sell me another vacuum. I highly recommend this store/service center to all Dyson owners. The store was a little out of the way (coming from Queens) but it was well worth the trip. I was very satisfied with my experience. Thank you Brad and Jason! read more

I first made a call to Jason about my Dyson that I bought second hand and was in need of a repair six months ago. He encouraged me to bring it in and he would provide an honest no-cost estimate for the repair When I finally had time to make the trip, I could not have been happier with the great customer service I received. The problem was with the telescoping wand that wasn't catching because of a faulty spring device. He took it in the back and returned less than 10 minutes later. He happened to have a spare part and replaced it free of charge. What a pleasant and efficient young man he was. His only request was that if I felt my experience warranted doing so, to kindly write a review on Yelp. In keeping with my end of a very positive experience - here it is. I have been a Dyson customer for many years and very satisfied with the product raising 5 sons and a dog owner having as many as 4 dogs at one time a vacuum becomes a critical piece of equipment. Over the years minimum issues were always serviced quickly and usually under warranty by this store. When the need arises to replace a vacuum I trust their advice and afterwards feel satisfied with equipment and price. During the Pandemic I needed to replace a vacuum and was impressed by the safety measures for the customers and the staff and not only replaced the vacuum but also purchased 2 air purifiers recommended that are working great and advised that my current vacuum was still repairable under warranty. Amazing Dyson store. I'm so glad they opened this location. It's an amazing customer service magnet. My wife wife and I were told we could get a 20 % off for our old Dyson if we purchased a new one. We received the discount plus another 20% for the holidays. Jason, the person that took care of us was very customer oriented and also very kind and patient. My wife and I were throwing questions at him a mile a minute and he answered everyone one of them. We bought the Dyson 65. After the 40% our final price was 347.59. That was an 80 dollars saving. We have a five year warranty with the vacuum cleaner. Between the service and the discount it was more than worth it to drive in from Manhattan and visit this clean, well staffed, Dyson office. This was my second time visiting this Dyson Service Center in Plainview NY. It takes me about an hour to get there from where I live. However, it is well worth the trip. Max is always courteous and accommodating. Even if I arrive, 15 minutes before closing, he will still assess my concerns, in consideration of my long commute. Max is very honest about the condition of the equipment and gives helpful advice about how to proceed. At no point have I felt that this facility is a sales center. The quality of the Dyson product speaks for itself. I have had my Dyson vacuum cleaner for 12 years. I bought the Dyson Vacuum, as a recommendation from my children's pulmonologist! Enough said! Corporate advised me to drop off my animal ball here. I dropped the machine off with Mike late Tuesday evening who was a very nice man. Mike informed me that it was too late to look at the machine but a repair person would call me the next day and let me know if it required payment to fix the machine or it would be fixed under warranty. 12 o'clock the next day I received an email and a text from the service center saying that the machine was complete and ready for pick up. I picked up the machine the very next day and once again Mike was a perfect gentleman and very professional he informed me that all the work done was under warrantee the machine was cleaned and running like a top I would highly recommend bringing your machine to this service center read more

This was by far the best experience I've ever had going to get an appliance fixed... I dropped my vacuum off to rich and I asked him when he thought it would be ready because it's hard for me to get there because I have a newborn... He asked me if I could wait a few minutes while he gave it a look to see what the problem was... Within 15 minutes he brought my vacuum out good as new!! He was able to replace the part right there on spot... Instead of me driving all the way home then finding someone to come all the way back with me to watch my daughter while I go get the vacuum and bring it back to the car he did it right then and there!
