Stopped in here on a bitterly cold Saturday afternoon to warm up, try a maple syrup sampling and have a maple syrup infused hot chocolate with whipped cream. Delicious.

Great experience checking out this cafe for all our maple syrup needs. Both gentlemen working there were friendly, professional and helpful. Shoutout to Jonathan who helped us have our first maple taffy experience! He was funny, energetic and made it a great experience for us. Next time we are in Montréal we will be sure to visit again. Thank You!

The man behind the counter was so kind and friendly when I came in with my kids, one of whom was misbehaving. My kids liked their ice creams, especially the maple syrup topping and I enjoyed my lemon sorbet. The shop was busy and full of interesting maple products.

If you are looking for Canadian maple sugar cookies, this is the place to load them up. We found that they have the best price and the most selection. We picked up a bunch to give away when we return home. Btw, those cookies were tax free... good deal! We also enjoyed its maple ice cream and ate them in the store - which is attractively decorated with clean/bright apparent. We got those maple spreads and learned a few recipes from the store employees. Will try and see how good they are - stay tune.

    Maple on a stick

We stepped into this cute little dessert/cafe as we were in old Montreal. They have a variety of maple products that you can buy and some pastries as well. We got the maple on a stick and the maple croissant. The man that made the maple on a stick for us was very kind and explained to us a bit about the syrup that was used and its history. It's very very sweet as expected but it was cool to see it harden and bunch together in the ice. Be sure to eat it quickly because it does melt fast. The maple croissant was very good as well, very flaky and delicious and the maple on top added some sweetness. Def recommend giving this place a try!!

There are so many maple flavored treats available!!! Their gelato is sweetened with maple and they nailed it with the taste! They have chocolate, cookies, maple butter, maple honey! So many things inspired by maple and it is so awesome to see that they really created these things based off of one ingredient and succeeded There is a stand with maple, honey and cookie butter tastings available for people and they are not stingy with the taste portion either Friendly staff made it easier to figure out what exactly we wanted to order

This is a quaint specialty gift shop and cafe that serves coffee and sweets! Their specialty is in maple and cranberry products, and the staff offer many different samples for you to try. There are some unique offerings such as maple caviar (gastronomic pearls of maple syrup that pop in your mouth and can be served alongside crostini), ginger maple butter, maple vinegar pickled cranberries, and many more! We stopped by for a nice and cold refreshing drink. I got the maple syrup iced coffee - the coffee flavour was very rich and prominent. I found the maple syrup to be slightly too sweet in my cup, but interestingly, I found the sweetness level to be perfect in my sister's and dad's orders. That said, the iced coffee was quite good, and is a great item for those who enjoy cold sweet coffees. In terms of the various products, my favourite was definitely the ginger butter. It tasted like chai, and like Christmas! The staff who helped me was also very knowledgeable, and gave many recipes teaching me how to use their products. These innovative concoctions definitely make great gifts!

Great deals and friendly staff to help you. They have a tasting station for items you want to buy

Delicious treats for you to snack now and take home to share with your friends and family. Delicious popcorn and cookies just to name a few items. Maple cream cookies and sriracha maple flavored popcorn. Make your own maple taffy candy pop on ice. Great looking ice cream and gelato. They have free samples of pretty much every item in the store for you to try. Great prices and a friendly staff makes shopping here a fun and tasty experience.

Maple & Cranberry Gelato in a mini cone

The customer service was amazing. They let you try everything. I tried all of the maple ice creams and ended up getting the Maple & Cranberry Gelato on a mini cone for C$2.15. It was so delicious!

Can't say enough about this place! This is a maple syrup grocery store, which means no tax on products purchased. The people are amazing and incredibly knowledgeable about maple syrup, maple syrup products, and recipes for the products. We did a complimentary tasting of several different maple products from syrups to taffy, to dressing, and smelling the seasonings. The tasting also included information about the different intensities of the syrups and possible uses/recipes. My hubby and I also each got a scoop of their house made gelato - he got the maple creme cookie gelato with maple syrup poured on top and I opted for the maple cranberry (non-maple flavors available also). We ended up with a huge bag of goodies to take home with us!

Good coffee and nice variety of maple products. They have a wide range of different maple sauce, maple salad dressings, etc and you can also have some free tasting. I tried the maple iced coffee and some gelato and both were very good. The staff there is nice and welcoming. The place is clean and you have a few places to sit down. It's located in the middle of the old port so it's convenient to grab a drink and walk around during summer.

The délices de l'érable gelato was so-so.

This maple-syrup-themed sweets shop located in the touristy part of Vieux-Montréal is a fun stop for pastries and gelato. In addition to ready-to-eat treats and ready-to-drink hot drinks, the shop also sells maple syrup and maple syrup accessories of many kinds. The employees are very friendly and will explain the many different items to you - and also sometimes give samples! I just got some gelato, which was so-so. Perhaps next time I'd try a cookie instead. Despite this, the overall experience was fun, and I'd recommend at least checking it out.

    Maple museum

Eh. I was underwhelmed. About the best thing I can say is that they had a semi-clean restroom (only one that day; the second was out of order). I wanted to go because there was a site that said this location had a "Maple Museum". I do so love museums. But when we got there, it was so uninspired. They had information on the walls, sure, and some pieces of equipment specific to the maple trade, but it seemed to fall well short of "museum" status. So, the "museum" (and the restroom) is downstairs. Upstairs, you have the shop, which will sell you all things maple - from souvenirs to gelato to drinks. Neither of us had ever had real maple syrup before, so we were eager to sample the true maple wares. We stood in the long line snaking around the store in order to get a couple of gelatos and cookies (because we had to have a decent sampling, right?) before escaping the crush of people upstairs to snag a small, dirty table downstairs. I'm sure this is my Americanized-palate speaking, but I wasn't a fan of the gelato. I'm glad I only got one scoop. It wasn't that it wasn't very sweet (which I was okay with, to be honest). No, to me, at least, there was an off-taste that I wasn't fond of. I didn't want to say anything to my husband, because I didn't want to complain about something that I had been so gung-ho about, but he asked me what I thought, and I wasn't about to lie to him. He actually agreed, which makes me think that it IS the fact that we're used to the fake stuff that threw us. We didn't eat the cookies at that point - we were both full from lunch and the gelato - but we did eat them later that day, and again, that off-flavor that neither of us can put our finger on was present in the cookies, as well. So, is it fair to give such a low rating based on my dislike of the food? Maybe not, but let me also say this: the employees were not friendly that day. Yes, they were busy, but I don't think that gives servers free reign to be flat-out nasty to customers. Further, the downstairs "museum"/eating area had a general grunge to it that made me wonder when it was last cleaned, and the bathroom needed some real attention. It was an experience, yes, but not one that either of us wanted to repeat during our time in Montreal.
